  1. Yeah, I'm there too. Should've this bonus feature been added 600 days earlier, I'd be at 1200 (and something) right now. πŸ˜‚
  2. Kelvinwl, I've sent you an in-game message today, pertaining to the topic. Let's talk there, if you will.
  3. Korlath, you can rest assured that there were several people (myself included) utterly disappointed (to say the least) by the actions of Kapleo, who literally started team sanctioning several people in the White sphere, out of the blue, just because he could. By contrast, when Kapleo was removed from the VEP (for about 2 hours), that was not a sanction, unless you want to abuse the language. You see, when someone is removed from the VEP, the result is that he is not included on the tech targets list anymore (assuming he has tech credit), which doesn't mean he can't do whatever tech deals he can find on his own. The VEP is by no means mandatory for anyone. Being a VEP participant is neither a right nor an obligation, it's a privilege. As lilweirdward explained, Kapleo's removal was the result of a misunderstanding (for which I take responsibility). At that time Kapleo hadn't received any tech offer for a number of days, despite being on top of the tech targets list, which made me (and others) think that most of the sellers were deliberately boycotting him. That was not the case, as I found out a bit later. What really happened is that he'd previously deleted his nation for a short while, which resulted in some of his incoming tech offers being deleted, plus several forthcoming days of not being able to receive aid after his nation's restoration. However, before realizing what had happened, I felt responsible to make a decision of choosing to either jeopardize the VEP (by continuing to antagonize the sellers by keeping Kapleo on the list) or jeopardize... Kap's well being. So I made the obvious decision (unfortunately based on a wrong premise), and as soon as the mistake was discovered Kapleo's nation was put top of the list, and you personally and your alliance received due apologies, from DLS and myself. Oh, and one more thing if you don't mind, while we're still on the topic of the VEP. In your rants, you mentioned among other things that we were merely using your people as farms for us. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you had 5 buyers and 7 sellers enrolled. Moreover, for their contribution to the VEP, the UFP sellers received (by Dec-20 when they departed) a number of cash bonuses (in other words, free cash), amounting to the following totals: 54vee $54 mil. GoddessOfLinn $63 mil. Jihadi $72 mil. Joseph Antario IV $18 mil. Krunker $81 mil. qncoa1 $36 mil. ultron90 $90 mil. Does that seem like we were trying to ruthlessly exploit your sellers? I'm not actually expecting any answer from you. It just saddens me to see you denigrate your ex-partners and the tech system of which your ex-alliance has benefitted for so long. I hope you'll find a better system than the VEP, and more generous buyers for your sellers than ours. And maybe you'll treat them better too, once you're done with them.
  4. When I joined FTW, there was Canik, the Mad King. If I ever did something good, I owe it to him. I was privileged to serve during his reign and we couldn't have asked for a better leader and friend. And there was DLS, whom I've seen rising. May he lead lead us through good and bad, to a future of peace and prosperity! Long live the King! Hail FTW!
  5. This pixelated world is not so dead as it may seem... Some alliances are even quite active. But the landscape has changed, that was expected.
  6. If you're planning to be an active nation then you should definitely consider joining an alliance where you can quickly find a trade circle to join, and where you can instantly fill your foreign aid slots at the rate of $9mil. for 100 tech. The Freehold of the Wolves is doing its best to provide those benefits to their members, and more. Visit our discord today and see for yourself! https://discord.gg/dE8GDx6
  7. I don't play TE because it's silly and misconstrued. E.g. alliances get points if their nations keep deleting and rerolling. It's a waste of time and energy, while the prizes are won by the same gangs who already know all the dirty tricks, over and over again.
  8. Seems like a good question for SirWilliam. πŸ˜‚ I have better things to do.
  9. I see. In my view, a tech trading rate that would be greater than 9/100 comes with a set of problems, such as the speed of tech transfers, and we don't go there. What we do though is endow our tech trading system with additional functionalities, such as cash or tech loans (e.g. a player gets a lump amount of cash or tech in advance, that he can later pay back in tech or in cash), or cash or tech bonuses, that we can grant to selected participants, based on pre-established criteria. A grantee of such a facility then uses it to buy certain key wonders, or to make an infra jump, assuming they are qualified for it. So yes, our system allows funding beyond the mere tech trading, but it is only available when certain conditions are met by some participants, rather than randomly and indiscriminately.
  10. It is, under certain circumstances, on a case by case basis. Thanks for mentioning us!
  11. Indeed, our automated tech trading system is based on the universal 9/100 rate for all participants, with or without the Federal Aid Commission. Those not owning the FAC yet have the difference from $6m to $9m for each 100 tech credited to their account (where it is transformed in incoming cash in subsequent transactions), until they get the FAC.
  12. SirWilliams, as your text comprehension skills seem to be somewhat lacking (why am I not surprised), let me try once more: this isn't about Terry Howard, I've never had the pleasure to meet the guy, and I'm not trying to convey any message to him specifically. Like I said, I'm merely using this thread as a pretext to make a statement which I believe some new players might find useful. As long as the thread is not locked, I have the right to post here, and you Sir are in no position to tell me (or any user for that matter) where to make a post or when to quit posting. To any other new player who might read this: if you're planning to be an active nation, then you should definitely consider joining an alliance (like e.g. mine) where you can quickly find a trade circle to join, and where you can instantly fill your foreign aid slots at the most competitive tech trading rate of $9mil. for 100 tech. Focus on the essentials, and don't let trolls divert your attention away from your main objectives!

  14. This is not about Terry Howard. My above post is an open invitation to any ruler of a new nation having certain expectations from the alliance they might join.

  16. Life is better with such friends! Hail CCC! Hail FTW! o7
