However, You actually helped make my point for me, in not forcing NSO to surrender and/or admit defeat they allow people to make idiotic claims. This kind of thing goes all the way back to the beginning of planet Bob.

So NSO ends up not having to surrender or admit defeat? Well congrats to Legion on winning the battle and congrats to NSO for winning the war.

I have no problem with "I just don't like you" being used as a CB. I have no problem with "I see you as a threat in the future so we will take you down now while we can" being used as a CB. This however is too close to the "community police" that has been fought against more than once. It's not the action that bothers me, it is the BS posted trying to justify it.

[/quote] I was just pointing out that it had been used once, even if it was not really needed at that time. In fact it was R&R that went to Iron when CSN countered Iron offering help. This treaty was signed in a different time, Friendship was partly involved but it was more for Orange Unity. I know Sphere unity is a foreign concept to many in this age but back then Orange was working hard to get along after several months of bickering, accusations, misunderstandings etc. By the time this treaty was really needed by either side the political standings had changed and both alliances had drifted to opposite political sides. That it stood this long when there were allies on both sides hoping to see it end speaks a lot for the leadership and the friendship of R&R and Iron.

And so goes one of the last pieces of "Orange Unity" I would like to add that this treaty was activated once.

just a couple notes: Diplomacy was attempted, UPN balked and NG called their bluff. I know UPN thought there would be more talks etc but there is nothing that says there has to be. If NG had waited, gave UPN an ultimatum then UPN would have had time to prepare for war. They could have gone to peace, changed defcon, bulked up etc. Being hit by a blitz 4 hours early caught them off-guard and unprepared. This was just as effective as an update blitz if not more so.
