1. Signed for the Imperial Imazighen, High Vizier Skazural
2. "And what about the contribution of technology for common African benefit?" as the High Vizier chimmed in, attending the conference largely unnoticed, he went on "With the technological capacity of nations such as my empire shared for the benefit of these African nations we can both increase the standard of living amongst us as well as the standard of death upon our enemies." he stated with a lack of expression- almost emoptionless. "Personally, I like the simplicity of the document in question, the lack of restraints placed upon us, and the major points it covers. We find ourselves in agreement with the suggestions voiced by the Aeon and should a technological provision be added, the Imperial Imazighen is prepared to thrust its vast manpower and resources behind such an agreement."
3. Mr. Falthir listened attentively, being distracted for just a moment as the first blast went off. The Imazighen delegate was utterly appalled at the continued terrorism taking place just outside. "The Imperial Imazighen has no interest in remaining at a conference in such an unstable environment. I will be departing from you all, I bid good luck in your efforts." The delegate stood and saluted the attendees as he gathered his things, "Ms. Karolina, the Empire should be obliged to exterminate these.. loyalists, personally." As he passed Executor Ding, "Another time and place." With that Falthir would make his way back to Imperial Imazighen.
4. Within the dark halls of the High Enclave, hidden from the outside world, delegations of the various regions of the Empire have conveined to hear the High Vizier's private address on the State of Imperial Might. The address is 5th in a series of updates that the Imazighen Delegations have received since the establishment of a professional army following the war of independance. It is focused on sharing the current military capabilities of the Empire. Large screens are placed about the collosseum-style Capitol building depicting an empty battlefield while the delegates await the begining of the Honor Wars, where the best warriors of the empire of pitted against one-another to win glory, honor, and prestigious rank in the armed forces and civilian government. Once the Honor Wars begin, they will continue on for as long as the Empire exists with due care place on current population levels. When the population begins to sink, there were polcies such as Life Spring, a breeding program providing excellent health care and State aid to participants of the Honor Wars to maintain a high birthrate in the Empire. Silence befell the meeting as High Vizier appeared at the center podium. The delegates cheered. "Hail! Hail! Hail!" Getting right to the point, Skazural began. "With regard to the fluctuations anticipated of the Honor Wars, I am proud to announce that the glorious Imperial Army, at any given moment, consists of over two million warriors strong, both men and women of the best worth in battle of the land." More noisy cheers from the delegates. "Accompanied by over twelve thousand armored units, and an unchallangeable airforce that is being forged of our mighty industry as we speak. Just months ago, what is today our Empire was once a back-water land. Disunited. Weak. Warlords stalked our regions, squeezing what little resources our people -a minority in this land- could muster through honorable labor. The system of control that the warlords maintained over the land was brought to its knees by our people within 10 days. Today, the Imperial Imazighen is the most glorious world power!" "HAIL!" the delegates give a standing ovation to their High Vizier. "The Imperial Navy is now operating at full capacity. 8 Aircraft Carriers, 30 Submarines, 8 Destroyers, 10 Battleships, 8 Frigates, 10 Cruisers, 10 Corvettes, and 10 Landing Ships now command the seas- Our glory abroad is within our reach, should ever we Will to attain it! Glory to the Empire, Honor to its warriors. Hail to the Victors." As the address concludes, the lights dim with the applause as the screens reveal the beginning of the conflict.
5. Part I Drums rumble the streets. The High Vizier appears on a fiersome throne being hauled by brawny armored soldiers of the Empire. The drumming pauses as the the masses of residents crowded around the entourage hails their emperor. "HAIL TO THE VICTOR" Rising from his throne, Skazural proclaims a call to the worthy of the empire, "It is time." Drums beat again. "A chance for honor that the worthy amongst you might prove himself in the great ceremonial battle. Rout the week from our midst and bring glory to your name and your empire." A general Marshal Spirit permpenetrates all aspects of daily life in the Imperial Imazighen at all times. What exists within the otherwise orderly streets is beyond warrior culture. The population of the empire is fixated on war worship. Montrus Thes was delivered a card. For this ceremony, warriors were divided into small clans that would engage in wargames on a series of levels that would take place in varying enviroments. Staged outside of the cities, Mantrus accepted transport to the friendly base. He was assigned to "C" Clan. Upon entering the facility, he chooses his weapons, picks any of a variety of attachments, and before the State-sanctioned conflict is initiated, plans a strategy with the Clan. Battles of the first level would quickly become the most infamous. It was the only level where deadly force was authorized and this was to purge the weakest warriors of the empire where as other levels only simulated warfare so as to avoid the death of the more capable men. Women who had no children dependant on them where allowed to engage in the ceremonies alongside men and were expected to serve in times of war in the same manner. Clans where instructed that 50 "incapacitations" were needed for victory in the first battle. Really, the participants saw this goal as 50 kills, because it was unlikely most of those incapasitated would be spared death in round one- after all, this was their only chance for blood. Lun, Zara, Quilo, and Tras where waiting Montrus in the facility. "Am I late?" no one replied until Zara, the only female of the Clan tossed him a tablet where the Clans where to plan out their strategy if needed. "Here. Catch up." It was blank. "Were you waiting for me to decide how we're going to roll heads or are we going in freelance?" Zara replied, "We've been informed that the first battle is going to take place in an unknown setting. Since we don't know what our environment is going to be, we're keeping the strategy basic. Kill anything that moves. If you're a bad shot, expect to be cut down." That sounded reasonable enough. He nodded to the Clan, "Hail." -"Hail." The Clans where transported, blind to their destination. After a long trip, the doors of their transport vehicle burst open. Firing could immediatly be heard in the distance, the battle had already begun. 7. While the empire was hardly interested in affairs beyond its own borders, Representative Kuar Falthir would arrive on orders of the High Vizier himself as the empire seeks to get a feel for international politics.
8.
PRA jets would guide the Imazighen plane to the PRA capitol airport. 10. Please mark the North African "Free Land" as Imperial Imazighen
11. OOC: Located in the "Free Land" of North Africa IC: Matters had become complicated for the fragile regional balance since the critical traderoutes amongst major cities had become plagued with raiders. In reality, these bands now infringing on the locals' routes hailed from a nomadic war-like tribe of Imazighen called the Serom, raised from their youth to become expert killing machines; as was necessary for their survival in a life of constant confrontation with regional warlords. Though it had been centuries, the decendants of the once great culture had not forgotten the legends of the Serom who had gone before. When Serom supplies gathered and stached in caves across the southern portion of the region went up in flames, the starving Serom clans came together at the battle of Tindouf where the local warlord was crushed, his head severed, and the valiant general of the Serom forces proclaimed himself their leader. Spread far and wide working as mercenaries and bounty hunters, when the new leader called, his loyal brothers came. His call was simple: to confront North Africas greatest plague and eliminate the powerful warlords. Amassing an army overnight the Serom planted their forces in the path of major traderoutes, known as the "bloodline" of the North African unclaimed regions, cutting off the warlords most critical supply lines. They where initially hesitant to engage their most fearsom enemy who was now consolidated into a terrifying force, but after several pleas from the Local Councils the trade crisis could no longer be ignored. Playing cat and mouse with the local media outlets, the warlords began assaulting Serom encampments along major routes. The accepted story was that a contingent had been dispatched to police the trade routes. In reality, a full scale war was brewing with death tolls steadily rising in favor of the Serom. Serom forces rushed the Warlords' artilary as they had just begun to open fire. Tearing through the hard lines of two of the most powerful warlords, their great armies routed within hours. The collapse of the major regional powers led to a power vacuum throughout the following weeks that decimated the armies of the remaining regional warloards, leaving the authority of the local councils severely diminished without the availability of warriors to enfore it. Victorious, the Serom gave their terms to each local council. As forces pressed on into the region, talk in the Councils veered sharply toward complete surrender to the Serom. Remaining warlords urged caution as the Councils considered the offer, but even they had to agree; the situation was deteriorating ever rapidly; peace was the only hope. Council and Serom diplomats conveined in the city of Tindouf, setting of the first battle and Serom victory of the conflict, to discuss a region-wide union under Serom rule. But even as the talks moved forward, the Serom still had one play to make. Serom forces began to withdraw from trade routes between sympathetic cities causing massive protests throughout others, demanding that an agreement be reached. The calamity was the tipping point for the Councilmen as pressure mounted to reach an agreement with the Serom before bloodshed settled the matter for them. Skazural, leader of the Serom vowed peace and rule of law so long as the councils submit to his new order. A repreive from anarchy and looming famine the local people could not afford to pass up. Despite unfavourable terms the Treaty of Tindouf was signed. Disenfranchised warlords began withdrawing from the major cities across the region, leaving them to be quickly swallowed up by the new empire. Thus began the unpressidented rise of the Imperial Imazighen, consolidating power over North Africa as thousands and then millions pledged their allegience to the new order and the man requested to perform the daunting task of leading the Empire, its Serom emperor, High Vizier Skazural. The shadow of war cast across the North of Africa has been swept away by forces now transitioned into a professional force under a powerful leadership. "A new age now dawns its light across the many faces of the Empire." Skazural proclaimed as he concluded an elaborate victory ceremony was held in his honor, as the public face of the order welcomed peace.
