The State of Unified Nations recoginzes a state of war with Kashmir and The JavahouseLeague. Unlike the first attack against our peaceful alliance, at least this attack serves a obvious purpose to benefit the attacking alliances, and SUN fully expects the ending terms of this war to finally settle important questions for our future on the Yellow team together such as:
You see, the relative calm of yellow has been punctuated over the last few months by obstruction. Our efforts to secure trades and sanction nations for their roguery have been met with condescending claims that we were harming SUN and demands that we lift the sanction we placed. SUN is free of course to conduct itself how it sees fit but understand that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
May Operation Sundown commence. For what it's worth we do not intend on using sanctions as a weapon and hope for a good, clean fight.- Is it acceptable to message member nations of other Yellow alliances with offers of trade circle management without permission of the sovereign government of the alliance being messaged?
- What are minimal standards for Yellow team alliances in regard to the use of sanctions during times of war?
If we, through the course of war, we can resolve these issues, then we have a chance for peaceful coexistence on Yellow in the future. -
There is no reason to attack us.

We are a peaceful and non-aggressive alliance, and nothing we have done have warranted this attack. We have the right to exist and contribute to this world, but when put to task - we will fight until we survive, or are destroyed, for our right to peacefully exist in this community.

The alliances of the State of Unified Nations and the III Percent hereby agree to the following terms:

Both alliances offer and accept White Peace.

Both alliances promise to not re-enter the current conflict by declaring any wars, conducting any spy operations or transmitting any Foreign Aid to any nation or any alliance currently involved in the conflict, either directly or indirectly. This clause does not include the current on-going war between the State of Unified Nations and the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization.

Any previously-accepted agreements between individual members or former members of III Percent are not affected or modified by this agreement.

Both alliances agree to exclude any and all publicly-recognized mercenaries, rogues or other nations using their Alliance Affiliation, who were not in the Alliance at the time of the Declaration of War, and to continue to work together to resolve any issue arising from nations who refuse to abide by the terms of this agreement.

Neither alliance asks for reparations, disarmament, or any other remedy to achieve peace between the alliances and affirms to work in good-faith towards enforcement of the above terms.

POINT 1: This thread, comprised of threats and baseless accusations against SUN, serves no benefit to the wider international community, but does seek to hide internal problems with the 3% alliance.
POINT 2: Any characterization of SUN as being out to destroy nations or alliances is patently false and goes against everything we have done as an alliance.
POINT 3: SUN appreciates our allies support for us and believes that 3% best chance for early resolution to the war that threatens their existence is to ask GATO to represent them since …
POINT 4: 3% lacks a GOV or credible central authority. This thread has derailed into a demonstration of 3% internal problems.
POINT 5: Responding to every nation from 3% who posts here is pointless since they are functioning as a collection of rogues, and everyone on their AA says something different.
POINT 6: As always, SUN wants to focus on the future and is willing to work with a legitimate GOV to address 3% concerns they are being targeted for extinction.
FULL VERSION:I have been asked to make a statement on behalf of SUN. I have no interest or inclination to go into depth on my observations concerning the problems 3% faces internally which have consumed most of this thread or go point-by-point to address the various misrepresentations and threats.
However, I feel that one important point that must be stated for a clear record is that the charge that SUN has a vendetta or doesn’t support the right of freedom for all nations/alliances is patently false. Although SUN may say little on such an irrelevant topic as this one (baseless charges by a micro), our actions regarding 3%’s quick and painless exit from the war they declared on us speak volumes.
SUN is lucky to have great allies like NADC and Invicta, and their responses on this thread to defend us demonstrate so. To move forward on a quick resolution to this war for the benefit of the survival of the 3% alliance hinges upon them recognizing that they have no one in authority to negotiate or enforce any agreement with us and for them to call upon their friends to assist them. SUN recognizes the legitimacy of GATO government and is willing to work with them to resolve this issue, just as we have worked with the honorable Dame Hime Themis to reach the first agreement for an exit.
This thread started as 3%’s backhanded response to earnest diplomatic efforts but has been derailed into a multitude of issues facing their alliance. However, the core issue remains and is what this thread really shows – various factions with 3% are taking various approaches to represent the alliance, and 3% lacks anyone of central authority to represent the alliance. Until they DEMONSTRATE they have a central authority, we cannot help but view them as a loose collective of rogues.
SUN will not address every nation who claims 3% affiliation and who thinks they are going to advance their cause with words on the OWF, as we believe in the power of actions over rhetoric. SUN allows our nations, who are not in High-GOV, the Freedom of Speech, but our GOV speaks with unity and authority because those are necessary for legitimate diplomacy which lifts an alliance above a mere collective of rogues.
Threats, baseless accusations, and continued rhetoric do not serve the purpose of the future of 3% as an alliance. They must start making responsible choices and address their internal issues to more forward. As SUN has always done, we will act in good-faith in reasonable diplomacy with internationally-recognized standards. We will not continue to acknowledge their feeble and baseless accusations against us as being worthy of a response before the community of nations.

Thanks for providing an explanation. However, if you had wanted a really "good fight", you would have given us another week to rebuild, or added another smaller alliance to make the numbers closer. :) At any rate, hopefully there are no hard feelings moving forward. I apologize for my faulty assumption of your motivations.

The State of Unified Nations has the great honor to announce to the international community the formalization of many years of friendship and common interest with The Legion. We look forward to growing closer in the years to come as we come together as kindred and common defenders of freedom and sovereignty. I personally would like to thank the officers from each alliance who worked together to make this treaty possible and the leadership of The Legion for their extra support.
Legio Solis
Preamble
The Legion and The State of Unified Nations have demonstrated friendship and goodwill towards one another for some time. Each alliance has a publicly stated policy of non-aggression without provocation and to promote this spirit of friendship and recognition of mutual values hereby enter into this treaty.
Article One: Sovereignty and Mutual Respect
Both of the signatory alliances and their respective member nations recognize and will respect each other's sovereignty and political independence. The government of each alliance will do their utmost to aid in the protection of each other’s individual sovereignty and freedom as an alliance.
Article Two: Peaceful Co-operation
The signatories will develop good co-operation between them to ensure lasting security. They will refrain from espionage and the threat or use of force against each other and will settle all disputes between them by peaceful diplomatic means. Both signatory alliances shall be resolute in their insistence that their respective members remain polite and civil to each other at all times, especially in public forums and other public venues.
Article Three: Communication
In signing these protocols, both signatory alliances recognize that communication and Intelligence is the foundation for a strong and enduring relationship and that there is mutual benefit for both alliances when open communication and intelligence between them is maintained. To that end, both signatory alliances agree to productive two-way, inter-alliance communication and the sharing of Intelligence.
Article Four: Defense
This Provision hereby dictates that under any circumstances if either of the undersigned finds itself attacked by a foreign power, the opposite signatory to this agreement is, upon request, encouraged to join in war against the foreign aggressor. The attacked signatory of this agreement maintains the right to waive such assistance.
Article Five: Cancellation
Either signatory alliance may terminate this compact at any time by providing the other signatory alliance with a 48-hour notice of intent to terminate.
