1. Govakia Confederal Autonomy It is a fairly unremarkable Summer's day outside. I sit under the shade of our garden's only tree, an imported European hornbeam, tapping away on my typewriter despite the holiday. The newspaper wants more interviews with regular citizens for its "celebration of Govakian culture". Why I choose to give up my free time to comply with this I really don't know. Today, though seemingly unremarkable, is in fact quite important. I stop typing to increase the volume of the radio set as soon as I hear the Leader's familiar, bass, rumbling voice,
'Comrades! Today we mark the 50th anniversary of the Spring Revolution!'
There is a rolling thunder of applause that lasts far longer than it should before I hear the Leader's voice resume,
'Together, we have built a civilization on the ruins of the Old Regime and now we stand on the threshold of a new era. We guard the tombs of our fathers and celebrate their everlasting victory. Today we inaugurate the heart of our nation, the inherent right of every Govakian to prosperity, harmony and security. Under the authority of the Spring Accords I do hereby recognise the National Assembly as the supreme authority in the Govakia Confederal Autonomy, securing peace for today and for generations to come!'
More applause blares through the speakers. The Leader's voice is cut off abruptly as I turn off the set and ponder his words. Rubble and bone still litters the old battlefields. The Old Regime vanished half a lifetime ago and now we inherit the legacy of ghosts that haunt the mausoleum of our history. I truly wonder if we are embarking on a new tomorrow as he promises.
((OOC)):- tl;dr - Govakia DoE. If it wasn't clear, the narrator is an unnamed journalist, who I'll be using quite a bit. I have three very short 'interview' style stories I've written already. Would it be worth posting them also? Wiki page, for those interested: http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Govakia (under construction)
 2. How do I find out who RPs the People's Rep. of Africa?
 3. Hey, mind if I have this small strip of West Africa please?
 4. My comment wasn't about James. Actions speak louder than words. You raided nations not on the 'none' aa more than once (and not just single-man alliances) and used up all your war slots at one point. That shows a complete lack of commitment to defending the alliance. You donated to get to the top. I think that speaks for itself.
 5. This was never about the way Kong runs Citadel, Neo. You were simply selfish. You were named as the heir and were an officer. You were exempt from the "one raid only" policy, but saw fit to use up all your war slots (thereby neutralising your ability to defend the alliance) and declared on another aa of your own accord. These aren't the actions of a member that has the alliance's best interests at heart, all you did was for you and you alone. We were just a means to an end so you could get to the top spot, why else would you donate your nation all the way up there? If you disagree with the way Kong is running things, fine, that's your opinion. But don't pretend this is some sort of crusade against tyranny, you want the top spot and couldn't give a steaming sh*t what happens to the aa that has you. EDIT: Just fyi, on IRC somebody suggested booting someone else out of the aa cos they weren't making any growth or following guides. Kong was the first person to say it would be better to give them a chance. I can only say from my own experience, but Kong has always seemed reasonable to me. Perhaps raiding an 18-member aa and using up your slots was not the way to have your opinions heard, Neo.
 6.
Ragequit from the #1 nation in TE right now. Merry Christmas to us I guess. Anyhow Lehran, NeoGandy, whoever you are I'd like to point out that the AA's rules are posted where everyone can see them. They were even bent in your respect because you were the only one in the alliance allowed to use two war slots for raiding. Still that wasn't enough and you chose to completely break them. Next time when you don't like an AA's rules save everyone a little headache and just switch AAs without the whinging.
Yeah, this. You were given a free reign on raiding and at one point used up all your war slots for it; not a good thing for the alliance's strongest nation to do. You were also given an officer title and named as the aa's heir. I'm struggling to think what exactly you see is unfair in all of this. How you can accuse Kong of being egotistical just stinks of hypocrisy.
 7. I'll probably get flamed for this, but what the hell:- haven't we rolled Polar enough? Couldn't we have found a more interesting, exotic target to take down for this winter's war? I mean going after them again just lacks creativity.
 8.
You guys are skirting the point. You seem to think peripheral ties mean nothing. I suppose circumstances will dictate a lot of what happens in any future event but like it or not Polaris' ties to PB through RIA will be a consideration. If past actions in regard to the placement of SF are any indication VE will lean towards the interests of SF after the interests of PB. So maybe Polaris uses this to their advantage..... I'm not at all saying VE is actively seeking to protect Polaris. It's just a consequence of the current web design.
Completely baseless assumption.
 9.
Honestly, you didn't just tell NSO anything they didn't already know about themselves. They don't pretend to be competent in any way, they realize they don't have a polished PR record, and attempting to turn their words against themselves has proven to be a pointless venture. They enter lost cause wars on purpose, see. You need to better learn the NSO mentality, broseph.
lol so by that logic NSO entered this war expecting to lose against Legion of all alliances!
 10.
I am not going to deny that Legion has had a statistical victory* here, but I am afraid that beating the NSO when you have a large advantage, while at the same time taking a large amount of damage yourself, is nowhere near as impressive a feat as you make it out to be. While Legion has every right to be proud of what they did it does not wipe clean years of incompetence and mismanagement. And I do not believe I've seen any member of Legion say as much as that. It is mostly mouthbreathers such as yourself making such absurd claims. Truly it is sad thing when you must live your fantasies of rolling NSO through Legion. Are you really too much of a coward to come at us yourself?
Well let's just analyse that for a moment shall we? Years of incompetence and mismanagement cannot be undone by a single victory you say? A single defeat though would surely amplify a poor history, wouldn't you agree? NSO have failed to find victory in the past five wars they've fought. That's a success rate of 50%. Legion on the other hand have won 7/12 of their wars. That's a success rate of 58.3%. NSO are more militarily incompetent than Legion and that is a cold hard fact. Oh you can argue about the fine details and the individual circumstances of each war until your gums bleed, but the fact is you shouldn't get yourself into a losing position to begin with, that is what your FA is there to avoid. Legion beats you in that respect also.
 11. What is the OP trying to say? The links in the post don't relate to any of the sentences preceding them. What non-sensical crap.
 12.
I like how you start out with a half-hearted denial and then shift to tacit confirmation, all in one sentence.
Sa Vasuda! Awesome name! And aye maybe he simply doesn't care that much? I mean beyond puffing up our chests we didn't go out and smash anyone now did we? Not necessarily voicing 100% approval here, just say'n. Probably could've done things differently, point is Tetris is safe and that's all we care about. EDIT: That and seeing NSO's pride take another hit, never gets old.
 13.
Hey, my name's Arsehole, nice to meet you.
And you. It's what biases are for right?
 14. Well it was generally regarded when this war started out that Legion weren't capable of fighting let alone pulling off a victory. I'm not ashamed to say they certainly showed me up.
Indeed, but not all of us have the courage to stand for nothing like you proud Virdies.
Feeling a might bitter are we? There's a minor edit war going on the NSO wiki page where the Legion-Tetris war result is jumping between 'White Peace' and 'Defeat'. NSO are such terrible losers.
 15. Congratulations to Legion for hitting above your weight. If it's any consolation, I'm glad we didn't get involved in the end. It was worth it to see this delightful line of red - http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/New_Sith_Order#Wars EDIT: Some arsehole edited the last result to 'white peace'. You were defeated fair and square and you know it, Sithies.
 16.
Seems rather counterproductive, but then again, its obvious that some people are just trying to escalate this war for sake of their blue balls.
So what? Would you rather sit and count your pixels?
 17.
Simple. Broad brushing the history, the Roman legions marched against the "barbarians", got sloppy, and were overwhelmed and destroyed. At this point it would be fair to say that Legion has marched out alone, should have made sure it had the support of its allies to counter threats just in case (got a bit sloppy) apparently didn't and will be gradually cut to pieces as the number of alliances arrayed against them increases. This of course forecasts a Legion defeat and a pretty through beating. Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps relief forces will come to Legion's aid, and perhaps the number of alliances that will eventually attack Legion won't be enough to inflict an overwhelming defeat, but...call me pessimistic. Pity, because as a detached observer, I liked Legion's DoW.
Asides from the name I can't see any comparison between Legion and the Roman Empire. "Teutoburg Forest War" would suggest Legion was some kind of well-drilled military force defeated by barbarians. Not the case, at all.
 18.
You're an idiot. Legion expected VE to counter because they did not know we had downgraded our treaty with Tetris when they attacked them, thus obviously expecting a counter from us.
It's not quite right to say absolutely noone knew we downgraded, obviously Tetris did and so did we. I can't quite remember where I read it, but I thought Legion already knew we only had an ODP with Tetris before they declared. Surely they would've researched Tetris' ties before they declared anyway, thus knowing it was only an ODP? I know it isn't easy to find, but they must've seen that we had downgraded. I mean what else do you have that suggests they ever had any intentions of hitting us?
 19. Oooh, interesting title. Drama awaits!
 20. How can you be at 3K infra from day 18? Your natin is still at 3K and is 117 days old and the efficiency counter rebukes you. You know that at 3K infra you're still better off selling tech right?
 21. The quote ripoff on the Bollywood vid got me thinking: how awesome it would be if CN history was overlaid onto scenes from star wars.
