1. Unbelievable that this had to be posted. Although I agree with Joe32320. this should have been posted within seconds of the DoE o/ Duckroll
 2. You overstate our ability! We have only made 6th o/ Anarchy Inc.
 3.
That's not actually an answer to the question I asked and the question you quoted, but alright. I'm wondering why an alliance would have a treaty obligating defense and treat this obligation as optional when they already have a previous optional agreement. I don't care what the NPO does at all. I'm just saying that logistically, things don't add up. That, or it's cowardice. Take your pick.
Neither. It's perfect planning (and the NSO haven't been perfect much, but here they have). They've got a very large topic of idiots of the highest order moaning that the NPO won't enter the war, while because they refuse to allow their allies to enter, have the financial support to re-build once the war is finally over. Excellent, economic planning in my eyes.
 4.
Hardly. I don't know about the spirit of the treaty, but the letter certainly isn't being adhered to. Why even have a treaty if the contents of the treaty are optional (including the parts that are obligatory)? I mean, the NSO already declared that any and all alliances have the option of defending them through the new Moldavi Doctrine. Why have an MDP obligating defense when you're going to treat it as optional when, all the while, you have a planet-wide standing ODP? Seems less like brilliance and more like piss poor planning to me.
Are you looking for a better answer than because their allies told them not to? I know it might be hard for some to understand this, but seriously. Maybe if I say it time and time again you will understand it. NSO don't want help at this time - they have demanded that no one help them NSO don't want help at this time - they have demanded that no one help them NSO don't want help at this time - they have demanded that no one help them And just incase that didn't get through... NSO. Don't. Want. Help. At. This. Time. -. They. Have. Demanded. That. No. One. Help. Them. Slow enough for everyone to understand? If you want to war with the NPO so much, why not do what everyone does and find a BS CB and declare. It's not that hard.
 5.
I see a trend here....So to treaty Val all you have to do is war them?
Yep, although a good showing in that war helps too o/ Valhalla o/ NoR o/ Mead
 6.
^^ sums it up nicely for me Poor show GATO, could have at least waited till after the war
Especially when the NSO went on to make sure GATO would have been out of harms way by declaring that this is an NSO defensive action only
 7. It just amazes me Alliances are going through the same rig-maroll they did back in 2007. No one has come up with a different statagies on declaring war. Maybe if they did we wouldn't need 800+ nations to take on less than 200. If Military stategists did some work and actually came up with new ways of working, all this nations running to Peace Mode would be ineffectual and a waste of time. But hey ho, it seems nobody has the brains to "think outside the box" in this world
 8.
Hint: Don't offer protection for people until you know why they need it. Maybe you've done it before successfully but generally people needing protection have someone mad enough at them to actually want to fulfill their desires to punish them. Had you instead told Hoo, can we work out this situation with the rogue, so you can get your licks in and then he can become a member of NSO, we wouldn't be fighting this war. But instead of that, he was told you guys were protecting him. Well, you got your wish. Protecting means willing to go to war over a nation's defense. Unfortunately for you you got your war.
Don't almost every nation on Planet Bob join an alliance for protection? If you're not in allaince how long do you think your nation would stay in one piece? Is it not one of the most famous lines "if you don't want tech raided join an alliance?"
 9.
Could you please explain where that came from? I see no agreement, unless, you're agreeing with what I said and therefore those wars Valhalla played a part in, had poor planning? Right. If that's the case, I suppose I can... No, sorry, I couldn't even try to comprehend where you got that from.
Probably could if it was aimed at you. But it wasn't so heh hum.
 10. So you agree, poor military planning from RoK. Good to see we agree. Still a bit overkill regarding the amount of alliances on the one NSO. But it's the way of thing on Planet Bob I did not know Valhalla has spoken. One sec, I will go check... nope, no member of the Einherjar has spoken.
 11.
Probably wouldn't have been necessary to bring in more alliances had NSO not ran to peace mode. However they needed to bring in more nations who were online at the time when they started scampering. At least that's how I see it.
35 Nations of a 169 are in Peace Mode. Fair do's. I have to admit that is the best reason to have this pile up I have seen. Due to NSO running to peace mode, RoK needed more of their slots taken up by other alliances. Are you really saying that RoK don't have the military organisation to hit a 134 nations they need some major help? I will remember this day as the day RoK couldn't handle 134 Nations but required a handful alliances to do it for them.
 12.
I agree with some points. Make the game fun again instead of fearing the treaty web, work on dismantling it by forcing small alliances or weak alliances to change or die. Survival of the fittest, my friends.
Make the game fun? Don't fear the treaty web? So, in other words say \m/ember raids someone, then someone from another alliance is entitled to raid that \m/ember without their alliance being up on a war with \m/, but then a member of another alliance is allowed to raid that guy who raided the \m/ember and rinse and repeat? Why not get rid of alliance politics and make it every nation for themselves if you don't want to fear the treaty web. It will be the true survival of the fittest. What you are asking is for the total collapse of the game As for the micro-alliances not getting involved in the Politics side of it, if you were a noob, and you and a group of mates from somewhere (be it an online community as such) get involved if you came on here to declare your existance if one of the top current topics is on the lines of "Too many alliances some should disband" or that almost all DoE's have a negative feel about them or the fact the amount of keyboard hardmen out there!
 13.
The issue doesn't have anything to do with how many or how few alliances there are. The fact is that there are many, many more options for these types of online games these days (stupid facebook farms, etc.), and they're much more visible and accessible than CN at the moment.
And much more welcoming. The regulars on here are to blame for the lack of accessibility. Too many have IC characters that think they're hard men - usually brought out because they lack that ability in the real world. Sad really. Saying that - this is the only one that has kept my attention for more than a month
 14.
like someone just mentioned, BadScotsman would still make sense whereas, as far as anyone can tell, Posaris is actually a rip off of NpO's alias. and this isn't to say anyone is up in arms about it... i'm sure the guys in Polaris are chuckling over it. But it certainly doesn't look well on the alliance when they obviously can't even come up with an original name. I mean let's be honest here, can you possible envision an alliance named Posaris succeeding? I'm not one to believe in fate, but if the pixel gods were ever gonna kick someone in the nuts, Posaris would be that someone. and some would argue that it's already happened.
I don't think you could find a hand full of alliance with any originality tbh. I'd be impressed if you could. We have alliances based on various [ooc]real world creations[/ooc] None of which is original, and is stolen of someone elses work (does that mean leaders of NPO, NSO, Valhalla, RoK, Legion, Sparta, Athens, MK and many, many more were to lazy and not smart enough to come up with their own ideas? I don't hear the howler of the school yard bullies closing in on all of them. As for succeeding, sadly no, but I'll give them a chance.
 15. May the great Admin should delete all alliances that were created after a certain date? How about 1 January 2008? Maybe 2007? How about all those not created in the first year of the formation of Planet Bob?
 16.
you're not honestly claiming that Polaris/Posaris are as close as Valhalla/Ragnarok or Athens/Sparta, are you? sure, maybe their themes are tied, but we're talking about a 1 letter difference.
So what? one letter is still a difference - and a subsequent difference. Does that mean if someone was to start a nation, and they called their leader BadScotsman I have a right to be up in arms about it?
 17. I'm guessing, and I'm not the most inteligent person in the world but eh.... an alliance of 11 nations of Planet Bob? Wow that was hard question to answer.
 18. I thought PIAT's died a long time ago. Guess not, so good luck in the future I guess.
 19. Very true - but it could turn nasty for your alliance or ours if one of them ended in a war and we we're both attacked. Could be fun though. Polaris and Posaris is as close as many named/themed alliances, that could be said to "copy each other". For example Valhalla and RoK, Sparta and Athens, anything with the word Orange in it. When Planet Bob is this old you are likely to get likely sounded nations/alliances. Let them have their limelight - but lets remember what this planet needs is new blood.
 20. What Synth said. The invasion base has been around longer than Planet Bob could ever wish to be. I for one, although never had any dealing with Planet Bob's settlers of the OTF Alliance am glad to see the return of people I "talk" to every day!
 21. Why shouldn't they call themself Polaris (although that is not their name). NpO cannot claim the words Polaris and New Polar Order. You are either one or the other. Even if they do claim the both of them, it's not like they have a sole claim to it. Pretty pathetic if anyone it's getting tied up on a name - although expected from the nursery playground that is Planet Bob. As for the flag, I cannot see any copyright infringement so all is good, unlike many alliances out there that can't be ****ed to design their own so steal from other [ooc]real world companies[/ooc] and claim greatness for themselves. As for the DoE, good luck I guess...
 22. I guess welcome back to you [s]Off Topic Forum[/s] OTF
 23.
Woot, nice to see you rise higher and I can't wait to see you guys at 4 million NS and over 1000 nukes.
That happens then we've gone wrong somewhere
Sad to see the friction on Purple. But I'm glad to see you guys on the upswing too Much luv for the Valhallan Crew: CJ, Bud, Kry, and the rest on Gillians Island.... oo/
Lack of single love for me? Oh and yeah, o/ Valhalla
 24. Kashy better wear that pink with pride! I had to fight tooth and nail for that when I was Norn... Good luck to those elected, and apologise for my lack of love for Kashy before now. Urgent business et al
 25.
I'm just somewhat irritated at the fact that members still bring up the fact that Sky lured members away from Valhalla. The majority of members who left at the time were intelligent and free-thinking. They chose of their own will to leave for many reasons (I'm sure you recognized some of these problems at the time as well)
I wasn't offered. I thought you all loved me
