Hekatawy I's Achievements

Newbie

Newbie (1/14)

1. Kemet Preparing for the first state visit, the Nisut had ordered the streets to be cleared of rubbish or obstruction, as well as preparing quarters for their visitors. The City State of Kemet had never entertained foreign guests before, and as such, the dignitaries would teach the people of Kemet, just as much as the Nisut would teach them about Kemet. They waited eagerly for the arrival of Mogar and his delegation.
2. Em Hotep! *henu* The Nisut, Hekatawy I would be greatly pleased if you would visit Alexandria in person, and would also like to sincerely thank MoGCorp for their generous donation towards the construction of the Temple of Anubis. Offerings for Mogar and MoGCorp will be given high priority and blessing, so that the gods will surely look favorably upon those who look after the Shemsu, or faithful. For his actions, the Nisut of the Kemetic Orthodox faith, would like to appoint Mogar as Remetj, or friend to the Shemsu, or faithful. We look forward to his visit, in earnest. 3. Congratulations to our new administration
4. Kemet His Holiness, the Nisut Hektawy I was sitting at her large, oak desk, reading the latest international news. Though rarely interested in the drama and affairs of other more aggressive nations, she was deeply concerned regarding spiritual matters. Looking specifically at the reports regarding the rise of the Teutonic Knights, as well as the resurgence of a Catholic Church, he was genuinely concerned for the Shemsu abroad. Already having issued an earlier statement to the world, and with Wehem releasing a story on the matter, he was content to allow things to continues and to protect the newcomers to Kemet as they arrived. However, sensing that some people may be unaware of the growing numbers of faithful amongst Kemetic Orthodox circles, an addendum was needed. Hastily calling for a scribe, she dictated the following to be released:
A recent article in the Wehem was published, and clarification is duly needed. Although many speculate the relevance and existence of Kemetic Orthodox followers in other lands, there can be no doubt that they exist in African and Arab cultures around the world alike. Though they may not specifically come from the territories affected by the tensions between certain religious groups, they nonetheless clearly feel uncertain or unsafe in these troubled times. Therefore it is only natural that they seek refuge in a place that will provide safety, security and the freedom and stability to worship the Netjeru, or Gods.
The addendum was published later that evening.
5. Kemet With news of the recreation of the Teutonic Knights, and the tension rising between the Catholic Church and other christian groups, Kemetic followers around the world have begun to travel in earnest to the City State to seek refuge from persecution abroad. Although no official statement has been sent to the Shemsu, the Nisut has directed the temple guard to facilitate the influx of new citizens and followers. Proper security measures have been undertaken to ensure the safety of the population as well.
6. The City State of Kemet, having suffered greatly against nomadic persecution from neighboring Muslim and Christian pilgrims, is greatly concerned by the events in Germania. While we always respect the presence and existance of other Gods, we frown upon the spread of monotheistic religions that seek to convert or exterminate others.
7. Kemet After a protracted series of discussions with the nation of Rebel Army, Nisut Hekatawy I has confirmed the transfer of the city of Alexandria to Kemet. With this new establishment of a formal nation, the Nisut has blessed the city and it has been renamed from Alexandria, to the City State of Kemet. National borders have been sent to neighboring nations and international cartographers to mark the occasion.
8. Em Hotep! *henu* Alexandria has been transferred to me, by Lavo_2. Please designate it on the map, with a green dot and the name, Kemet. Thank you.
9. Sure, Alexandria is yours. Enjoy it!

10. Kemet Nisut Hekatawy I has accepted a proposed plan to construct a grand temple and place of worship to the god Anubis, in the planned city of Helipolis (lower Cairo, in modern day Rebel Army). As discussions are being proposed, materials and workers for the new temple are being arranged, as well as the necessary funds for such a plan. 11. Kemet Discussion has been requested with the ruling nation of Rebel Army, regarding the appropriation of the lower half of Cairo, to serve as the spiritual and political home of Kemet and her people. The temple plans for a large palace and place of worship to Anubis had been created earlier this year, and the Nisut, Hekatawy I is set to dedicate the temple when construction begins and is finished, if talks continue with Rebel Army leaders.
12. The City State of Kemet I. History The City State of Kemet (herein referred to as Kemet) is nation descendant from the ancient civilization of eastern North Africa, concentrated in the city of Alexandria. Kemetic civilization coalesced around 3150 BC. Through a series of unstable periods (often referred to as the Intermediate periods), the city state gradually shrank in size, once reaching down towards the lower half of the Nile River Delta, and now comprising most of Cairo. II. Government and Religion Kemet is governed by a Nisut, or spiritual leader (ala, a Pharaoh). The reigning Nisut, is Hekatawy I. The priest caste is the primary ruling body of the city state, with most of the legislation being designed by both the Nisut and the priest caste themselves. Under the priest caste, there is a system of local elections to the city council. The council serves as an advisory body to the Pharaoh, and a direct link to the voice of his subjects. The religion of Kemet, is distinctly tied to the politics of the city state. As is custom, the Nisut is not only the leader of political government in the city, but also the spiritual leader and guide for Kemet's only faith: Kemeticism. Kemeticism is the worship of the Netjeru, or the many gods and godesses of ancient Kemet. The chief patron god of the city, is Anubis, the god of Mummification rights and rituals. All other religions are currently prohibited from public practice. Private practice, though discouraged heavily, is not illegal. III. The Temple Guard The only military and police presence to speak of, is the relatively small in number, elite Temple Guard. They are tasked with protecting and maintaining the temples, monuments and personal safety of the Nisut and his or her family. The Nisut serves as the commander and cheif of the roughly 700 man strong guard. The Temple Guard is comprised of mostly well trained infantry, a transport unit and a light armor squadron. Being relegated to mostly peacekeeping and civil service, there is no active navy or air force to speak of outside of firefighting equipment and air lifting capabilities.
13. Em Hotep! *henu* I have sent a message/comment to Lavo_2 requesting permission to occupy and use the ancient city of Heliopolis (lower half or so of Cairo). If he posts his acceptance of my request, I would like simply a purple or green dot to signify my nation on the map. Many thanks.
14. Em Hotep, Lavo_2! *henu*

I have read some of the current threads and the map thread, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to acquire the ancient city of Alexandria, if possible. I require only a city, given that in ancient times, the city states of the world often served as empires or states in their own rights. I am a balanced and talented writer with a lot of stor...
