I meant specifically in this situation it is full retard to do it since it's Oculus, you're essentially giving the finger to your ally in Oculus by attacking their ally also in Oculus and forcing them into an awkward position and bringing the fires of hell down on yourself. If anyone had a reason to cancel it's the alliance in Oculus for having a stupid ally. Individual treaties are slightly different, well even normal blocs are different than Oculus.

I think you're looking at it wrong, the message from the clause is don't attack us. If an ally was stupid enough to attack Oculus then that's the allies fault for attacking an ally of their ally, why would you cancel a treaty on the chance that you may go full retard if you decide to keep the treaty. However I don't know WTF they have going on but that's just my thoughts, I think you're looking too far into this simple text which I think is a basic clause if you're starting a massive bloc of alliances with the type of intent they have in terms of politics.

I find that hard to believe, DBDC are very capable and have a vast connection of allied nations in the top 50 and 100. DBDC trashed NpO and WTF, you definitely won't see anyone looking to oppose them if they do something naughty. Ok there is other alliances growing strong top tiers but to oppose DBDC is to throw your top tier down the drain. But hey I wasn't paying attention to this game for the last years, maybe everything has changed and the top 250 isn't completely one sided. I doubt it however, when push comes to shove I think it is still the case.
