  1. My warchest was weak: only 150m at 4999.99 infra. I've been reduced to turtling :( That's what I get for being a young nation with a MP-SDI-full spies though. Oh well, I've been turtling and have only spend like 30m. Even a 1b warchest will allow someone to through out like 75-100 nukes at 1k infra. I've already personally launched 19.

This game is really broke...any alliance that puts essentially any work in their nations can keep going for months nuking 15k nations with impunity. I really don't like the MP wonder anymore.

  2. As per the update log

Nations will start each new day at midnight update with 2 attacking and 2 defending spy slots plus 1 attacking spy slot per active war that can be used only against their war opponents. Nations will continue to only receive two defending spy operations against them per day.

And yet I've recieved three spy attacks against my nation since midnight.

    One at 12:04:48 AM

    One at 12:05:42 AM

    And one at 12:06:31 AM

I can quote the messages if needed.

  3. Right, I'm not arguing your ability to build and fire nukes for a long time. What I am arguing is the capability of being a serious nuclear threat after a few months. You can buy 2 nukes per day. SDIs block 60% of incoming nukes. Assuming each nation tries to nuke every nation they are at war with every day, assuming each nation is at war with 3 nations, will take on average 7.5 nukes per day. You rebuy 2 nukes per day, leaving a net loss of 5.5 nukes per day. This means after an average of 4-5 days of war, you're running on your daily purchased nukes. At that point it becomes impossible to hit every target every day, and some days you won't hit a target at all (hitting SDI twice in a row has a 36% chance of happening so roughly every 3rd day you do not get a nuke off).

Now if you're more conservative with your nukes, as is the smarter thing to do in your situation, and just make sure to hit the bare minimum, one every 3-5 days to maintain nuclear anarchy on the target, you will last much longer and will remain a nuisance much longer. But at that point the idea that you would inflict equal damage on the way down as you are taking becomes more far fetched, because you're not attacking to your full potential, you're going for the longer game which ultimately results in you doing more damage over a long period of time to the mid ranks, while not decimating the upper ranks as you are capable of.

It's a rough choice, both are viable, but neither ends spectacularly well for your side.

True, this is what will happen for the first little while. Eventually however you're going up against 20-40k NS nations, many of whom don't even have SDI's. You can nuke them 6 times, and there are a TON of stagger screwups at those levels, so it's not unlikely that a lot of people will go to peace mode, rebuy 25 nukes and come out again. Sure, it's impossible to nuke constantely at upper levels while staying in war mode, but it's not that hard to send a TON of nukes for a very long time. It's only 4m to buy up to 1000 infra from zero. You're assuming that everyone has a SDI, and that's simply not true. At the lower levels the majority of nations don't have one. MK did this very good during the WoTC.

  4. Only until the curbstomped side runs out of nukes.

How expensive do you think nukes are? At the lower levels it's usually pretty easy to slip into peace mode as those member don't tend to be inactive. You then buy up to 1000 infra, and buy 25 nukes, which works out to what, 40m? Sure those nukes will not be blowing up very expensive infra, but take it from a guy that's been nuked at 3000-4000 infra a couple times, it's annoying as hell when you're trying to get up to full spies/MP/SDI/infra and working on getting warchest compliant.

How so? A nation can only be nuked once per day. As it stands our side has a lot more nukes and a lot more nations so while in the short run TOP's tech advantage may mean they do more damage on average, in the long term we have a lot more nations and a lot more nukes so draw your own conclusions from that.

You pretty much just answered your own question, a nation can only be nuked once per day. If someone is in 5 wars and getting a lot of nukes through, they are taking a lot more damage than the nation sending said nukes. The curbstomped alliance gets beat fast, but they send out a lot more nukes than they take. This is what MK did to NPO during the WoTC.

  5. You say that as if TOP wont be losing just as much, or more.

TOP aren't the only alliance that has big warchest requirements, and I'll let you in on a secret, not every TOP nation has a massive warchest, some are average, some are small.

I don't know, in a nuclear curbstomp the the attacking side tends to take a lot more damage.

  6. It's not surprising the geniuses who pre-emptively declared on a previously uninvolved bloc are already crying out white peace or no peace in all but those exact words.

Too be honest, that's been the opinion of the General Assembly for months. Who knows, it may change, but I'm doubting it.

  7. Remember guys, this is an OOC forum, so the answer is without a doubt one. This is a game and a lot of you people would do well to remember that. No one wins every game, and sometimes you lose some. I'm honestly still confused about what happened, but I'm sure in couple of days it will all come. Some of you people take this game way too seriously, yelling about delicious tears in a OOC forum? lol

    Here's how I see it

MK: $%&@ YEAH, WE WON, we're AWESOME, SUCK IT SUCK IT, YOU GUYS SUCK CRY CRY CRY! LOL PLAYED SUCKAS

TOP: Yeah, it was a good move, you win some you lose some whatever, this will be fun (and isn't having fun the point of a game anyway?)

MK: SUCK IT! SUCK IT! USA! USA! CRY MORE BABIES, CRY! *mimes frantic fornication

    TOP: Yeah...*slowly walks away*

  8. You launch a preemptive strike against a number of alliances not currently at war and you are taking a risk. You make a move in a global war without communicating properly with others on your side and you are taking a risk.

Oh it was communicated. At the very least NpO and STA knew what we were planning and approved it. I'm leaning towards this being a trap, but if evidence comes forward suggesting otherwise I'll be willing to listen.

And Sunstar, if this was the case you'd better inform your members

Boy did you suckers get played. :TOP:

This is from a topic in our ODN embassy called "hahahah"

  9. Good point, if this was just bad communication than everyone should be allowed to white peace? If not I suppose the fact that one side has chosen to seize the opportunity is telling.

Haven't you heard iamthey?, TOP's war is seperate because e-lawyers say we need a treaty in what has been called "a war of Coalitions"

  10. I hate to argue with you, but I doubt many people would say that TOP won the game at any point in time. To say they stood on top of the mountain for a bit and sniffed at glory might be true, but to say you won the game is slightly ridiculous, in my opinion.

Well to be fair, a large portion of the world had to unite to take us down.
