1.
But idiotic sir,
Hadrian you are just randomly insulting his intelligence in a pathetic attempt to give yourself leverage on him intellectually. This snippet of your comment in no way made you seem superior. Also to start the list: Blackstone Commission.
2. Tech issue, sorry for the double post...
3. I know I'm not big or important or anything. But I'm giving a shout out to New Little England from NpO, not only did he give me my first nuke, but he also shows great character in being able to full out attack me, and later come back to hold out a great entertaining conversation with me. Waring with a nice guy makes the fight a lot better.
4. I liked the web, it was helpful, yeah blacks and purples aren't playing nicely with blues.
5. I like this, mainly because if you took all of these territories and mushed them together to become an actual map of earth, VE would be exactly where I live. And I know mush can be interpreted loosely, but I mean all the territories being in pretty much the same relative are to each other, just formed as an Earth map. Although VE's positioning only makes sense because I live in an alpine environment which is very green.
6. Although I'm not a whiz within Bob and am still getting a feeling for everything CN has to offer, but I still voiced my opinion. I voted no, i understand the reasoning behind this. But the dynamics between smaller and bigger nations collaborating, and older stronger nations is very realistic. And no I'm not a big nation, I'm fairly small, and would love to be big, but if I wanted a reset I'de be playing tournament. Adding the reset would change game dynamics insanely, and it would become more or less like a draw out tournament addition, and some would say, well were only reseting it once. In a few more years people will want it again just as they do now. Personally one of the things I like most about this game, is that it varie from a bunch of other games where after a while you max out at the optimum best capacity, it keeps the competitive edge going. I feel like reseting CN would be like reseting all olympic records.
7.
I'd also like to remind all readers of this thread how fatal enemies during WW1 managed to arrange a truce between themselves at Christmas
"Joyeux Noel" was a great movie based on that occasion. But just as in the movie and what I will predict happening in this instance, getting friendly with your enemy hurts more in the long run, and everyone who was involved int hat instance got in deep trouble.
8. I don't get why everyone is upset about not enough conflict, I understand being bored and all, but the actually interesting conflicts rarely rise from rogues. Its usually some argument two alliances get in and then drag everyone in with them. I do have to say, I appreciate the title of this forum though, and I appreciated the jpeg of someone attacking with spies.
9. $1000, woah, you could almost defend yourself from a baby nation with that
10. Just a blunt interjection of why I believe CN numbers are dropping: It was mentioned earlier (like way earlier) that CN gameplay isn't really about skill but time. I definitely agree with that, but it's deeper than that. It's because since the game play doesn't always require so much playing skills as does it political skills, this requires new members to play the politics game right off the bat when joining. And due to the intricate network of alliances, blocs, and complex relations going around CN it's becoming more harder to join week by week. NEw player may master the rules in a day or so, but to understand the international workings of CN is mind boggling. Along with the fact that the huge nations out there belittle people when starting up. In many ways starting up in CN now a days is like jumping into the middle of the Alamo. And with so many other games out there that don't involve such intricate relations, people tend to vere their courses towards those instead. To bad too, CN is fun....
