  1. When in all actuality it is way better for them that you aren't. So much spinning, they must be getting light headed by now.
  2. I implied no such thing. I am only speaking to what I percive the objectives of the winning coalition to be. Those objectives are not rooted in some grand nefarious scheme to cripple Pacifica for life, or even beyond a relatively short span of time. For the record, I have also not once said I agree with them. Secondly, I don't have to embrace or share your worldview any more than you do mine. But I also don't have to choose to play by your rules just because you follow them. And the fact of the matter is that your coalition has pretty definitvely lost this war. So if the winners seek to impose a resolution to this conflict that is in keeping with the ideas that they play by, then you can cry to the heavens as to how much you don't like it, but short of a millitary victory on your part you lack the ability to meaningfully alter it.
  3. You could have literally gone back one stinking page in the thread. Stop being so lazy. I am not going to reapaet myself just because poor little Methrage decided to jump in on the end of a conversation and doesn't want to do any legwork for himself. Cry me a bleeding river, then build yourself a bridge and get over it.
  4. Yes, multitudes of them which I have elucidated previously in this very same thread. ETA: Also, as I have previously mentioned, deserves has jack squat to do with anything. Politics.
  5. You might not be aware of this, but as long as I have been in Argent I have been a real outlier when it comes to the thinking on folks on our side of the web. I also know just how much credit the people leading the charge over on this side of the web deserve for smart thinking, because I had the misfortune to work with a good number of them for a long time. Truthfully, there is no fire behind the smoke you think you see.
  6. Uh, what? The last war that targeted Pacifica directly was NPO/DH, and that is pretty frakking far from being lately. As much as folks want to spin these terms into some sort of grand conspiracy against Pacifica, it just is not the case.
  7. I am far from new to this place, and I truly think you are giving the brain trust, if it can so be called, behind this coalition WAY too much credit if you really think their machinations extend at all beyond what I have described them as. To put it simply, NPO is almost certainly being offered these terms out of a pragmatic desire to neutralize you as a threat to the power sphere currently opposing you for awhile coupled with a more emotional need to settle some scores, and that is just about as far as anyone in opposition to you is carrying their thinking. The political acumen in combination with unity of purpose to do anything beyond that does not exist in either coalition participating here, if it has ever existed on Bob in the last 3 to 4 years or so.
  8. Let's try to keep this civil, shall we? You are the current head of the opposing sphere, and will continue to be so. Thus, it makes perfect sense to keep you knocked down for as long as possible. Secondly, you continue to overlook the very real fact that many of those seeking to impose terms upon you have very strong and persistant grudges against you. Which is also, in their minds, a pretty compelling reason to keep you down as long as possible. Given the generally fractious nature of coalitions here, I highly doubt there is some nefarious future plot going that extends beyond seeing NSO/NG/NPO get theirs.
  9. Or they need you out of the way for the very reasons I stated. You are the logical opponent, the head of a naturally oppositional power sphere, and the target of some serious grudges, both recent and long standing. So no, fear has little to do with it, and will have even less to do with it once you are done having teeth firmly kicked it.
  10. I am one who generally hates "Private Channels for the win!" with a passion, but I can think of few things that would harden the stance of my opponents towards negotiating more than what Farrin has done here. Especially given the echo chamber that is the OWF, whose minds could he reasonably expect to change here? Certainly not any of the people whose opinions he would actually need to change given the circumstances.
  11. What exactly does that have to do with anything? Whatever you think of the people that beat you, the reality that you were beaten is indisputable. And while you can think anything you want, thoughts alone will not alter that reality. Secondly, mob tactics? War on Bob generally works in exactly one manner, namely that the numerically superior side wins. Would your sense of honor actually be less offended if you had been thumped this bad by a numerically inferior force? Would that really help you sleep better at night? EDITED TO ADD: Fear you? Baloney. Your enemies want to neutralize you because you represent the center of an opposite power sphere, and because in EQ you showed that you were not going to work with those alliances towards a common political goal. It has very little to do with fear, and a whole bunch more to do with pragmatism paired with some score settling.
  12. As I have stated several times before, you are more than welcome to not play by the same rules the rest of us do. But, that does not mean the rest of us are going to decide to play the sport differently because of it.
  13. Worthy? Deserve? Are you high? This is politics. And, as a famous scholar once said, War is an extension of politics by other means. Your side lost. The other side won, and is attempting to leverage that victory to accomplish a political goal. It has literally zero to do with worthiness or deservedness.
  14. I am no fan of TOP, and less a fan of Crymson, and even I think that is a stretch man.
  15. Yknow, people keep saying this, and it is flat wrong. Alliances enter into a coalition for multiple reasons, and just because Polar got what it wanted vis a vis NSO doesn't mean that theirs was the only desire driving this coalition. And given the way NPO acted towards the coalition in EQ, that should not be an unfamiliar concept to anyone in Pacifica. Nor should the fact that EQ left a whole lot of people with some axes to grind where the Order was involved. It is politics people, not a popularity contest. NPO sowed into the wind last war, now here comes the whirlwind.
  16. No, it was a pretty clear statement that those named alliances made a calculated decision to stick with Umbrella with a view towards the future. And I say that from the perspective of having zero love for Umbrella, and not much more for VE, GOONs et al. You want to spin things to suit your agenda, and that is fine. But try harder next time.
  17. And so what does that make you? To my mind, it makes you pretty foolish for not recognizing the difference between politics and Frat brothers. But that is ok, because at least you are in a pretty large company here on Bob.
  18. Breakng news: Alliance members have less than kind things to say about their poltical allies. Also, this just in, water is wet and the sky is blue.
  19. What, so they are run like LSF? I asked a practical question, and that is a rhetoric answer.
