1. Percentage chance of a new event happening is 7%; if you have one active event then it drops to 4%; if two active events then 1% and if three active events then you can't get another (I think these are the right numbers...doesn't matter too much though) Not entirely impossible that you'd have somethings happen in rapid succession...just highly improbable
2.
How much does tech increase each time you buy? I think it goes $10,000 a level to $11,000 a level etc. Is this correct?
I'm assuming you mean (and without meaning to be patronising/disrespectful/*insert alternative adjective(s) as appropriate*) "By how much does the cost of technology go up each time you buy one (1.0) level of tech?" For me, at 60.06 levels of tech, with two universities, the cost was £19,764.87 per level of technology purchased After buying another level of tech, the cost rose to £19,840.87 per level of technology purchased Remembering that universities reduce the cost of tech by 10% each (and I assume that means I'm getting tech at 80% of what I'd normally pay, rather than the compound reduction which takes me to 81%), an increase of £76.00 per level would normally be an increase of £95 per level, which is a difference of £19 I'm assuming the scaling is non-linear? In other news, I think that this is not my most worthwhile post...
3. Made sure that no-one else in the other house plays/has ever played CN?
4. Me please! Fish and Silver
5. It's been 8 days since anyone posted in this thread *bump*
6.
I would check with the IT department at your Uni and check in with your parent's ISP to see if both operate with dynamic IPs and ask if there is any option to secure a stable IP.
Checked; it's a static IP
7.
I would check with the IT department at your Uni and check in with your parent's ISP to see if both operate with dynamic IPs and ask if there is any option to secure a stable IP.
Sorry, that should have read "in the house that I rent while I'm at Uni during term-time". Will look into it (although, considering this is only mildly annoying and it probably would take a lot of effort to find this out, I may not bother) Regardless, thanks guys!
8.
The forums now require the IP address of your session ID to match your current IP address. It sounds like both of you are on dynamic IP addresses and the forums are requiring you to relogin each time your IP address changes. Ghuxalia, I suspect this is your problem as well. Since this is an important security feature to prevent session hijacking (sadly, we had an incident like this recently) the only thing you can do is get use to relogging in or find an ISP that offers more stable IP addresses.
How would I check this, just to confirm that this is the problem? I use one ISP at my parents' house and another at Uni, so I'm somewhat curious. And one is a wired connection too
9.
Coding of *exchange rates* would be *too annoying*, but coding it to display different symbols or alter the plural form to match the correct pluralization wouldn't be (by comparison anyway), all that difficult.
That would have been what I expected, but if this has been discussed before, a) sorry, I did search for it, and b) I'll shut up now
10. Under the Population Information and Financial sections of the View My Nation and Extended View screens, you have a large amount of information about money (gross income per day, individual taxes per day, government surplus etc.) However, I have my Currency Type set to Pounds(£), and all of this information is being displayed in Dollars($) Is this deliberate? If so, I can't find a single place where money isn't measured in dollars, and this would seem to defeat the point of being able to change currency types I know this is fairly trivial, but it's really annoying me now that I've noticed it. And sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere; I did search for it before posting
11. I know I'm not the only one with this issue, but I think I'm the first to encounter in on Firefox 3.6.3, and also to have it happen sporadically; cookies and cache have been cleared multiple times (and the cache is auto-wiped every time I close FF) However, at seemingly random intervals (does not correlate with browser closing, computer shut-downs or anything else I can think of), despite the "Remember Me" box being ticked, I occasionally have to re-log myself in again. For me, this is just inconvenient (courtesy of FF's ability to remember passwords), but it would be frustrating for others. And I also don't like things that don't work the way they're intended to work (OCD anyone?) I also tick the "Sign Me In Anonymously" box, if that helps
12.
ive got marble and cattle, if you can fit cattle in http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=361806
I'm sorry, but I'd have to make up for the loss of one of the BRs with Fast Food, which means finding Sugar, Spices and Pigs. Which means I'd have to do some serious re-organising. And not everyone would necessarily be happy with that Thank you for your interest, but I'm going to have to say No
13.
Im in , wine and coal , check your Pm's http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=155264
You're in; I'm assuming people who aren't inactive log in every few days to pay bills etc., so it's a good check of how many people are still playing. And I don't like signing people up w/o their consent
14. OK, general aim is to have a permanent trade ring/circle with bonus resources AffPop, FineJewel, Construct, Steel and also have Uranium. While an all-Green ring would be nice, nations not on the Green team are just as welcome to join (NB: me moving team colours is likely to annoy the VE. Therefore, please don't ask if I'd be willing to move teams) Aluminium: Coal: KalLaba Fish: Chee Auer Furs: Gems: Free Space Directorate Gold: Iron: Lumber: Marble: Silver: Chee Auer Uranium: Free Space Directorate Wine: KalLaba Bonus resources get us the following bonuses: +5% number of citizens -7% infrastructure cost +3 population happiness -15% navy vessel purchase cost +10 aircraft limit And Uranium => nukes Interested parties, please put your name below (and preferably a nation link too!)
15. Oh. Not what I was hoping for, but thanks anyway
16.
IDK, you can center stuff w/ *'s or .'s to advance to a new line though.
You can? Please tell me how
17. Have you bought more infrastructure?
18. Am I the only one who's waiting for Trishal to accept their trade offer?
19.
ections: 1) A reason to pull someone's land out from under them.. or to get a CB against them that appears to have the popular support of their own citizens! 2) Something only done with the help of alliance mates.
Is there a letter or three missing at the start of this? In other news: LOL In yet other news: No, I don't have anything productive to contribute. However, this *is* satire
20. And do you have add-ons such as NoScript running? Could be preventing your plug-ins interacting with the site
