1.
Hello, Was wondering if there's any xml feed where information of a nation or alliance is available or is thought to be made available. Regards
There appears to be no XML feed for any data available in the game. This may be due to the following clause in the terms of service:
7. By using this service you agree not to access Cyber Nations with any other programs than web browsers. Such other programs are in particular so called "Bots" as well as other tools that replace the web interface. The same applies to completely or partially automated scripts or programs that cause increased server loads. You must agree to not, under any circumstance, run automated scripts of any kind against this website. Browser add-ons are generally ok as long as they do not cause increased server loads or present security issues.
Foreign aid and war information can be downloaded from this page. They are not XML files, but the information is easy to sort through. No nation or alliance statistics appear to be made available in this manner.
 2. Duplicate. Pease use this thread instead for discussion on this topic.
 3. The gallery is only used for uploading pictures such as the Sanctioned Alliance images to the forums, with not much else to see in there. Members can't view the gallery, but there isn't anything to see that isn't on the forums already.
 4.
Are events supposed to make the game more fun? I keep getting events that hurt my nation and it's really annoying, especially since I'm a relatively new player. How many can you have at one time? I'd like to think that you can only get three at once (which is what I have) but is there a limit? You get them when paying bills right - is there a certain percent chance? It seems the liklihood is going up I never got one my first 26 or so days but have now gotten 3 in the past 12 days. This does not bode well for my nation.... Any advice on how to avoid events or answers to those questions would be great. It seems really weird that it would be ideal to avoid paying bills as much as possible to avoid events, but I think I'm going to have to do that to stop my nation from having earthquakes and floods or damaged highways. Thanks! -quigon
Although it has been almost two years, the most recent information in the update log regarding event odds seems to be current:
The frequency of receiving an event has been toned down. The odds of receiving an event drop to 7% after the first event, 3% after two events, and 0% after three events. Those nations with 4+ events since the re-release of events last month will have those events remain active in the game until they expire.
In other words, the odds of you receiving a second or third event go down considerably, and a fourth event is impossible. Not all events are bad, and many of them are good. Most of the bad events aren't that bad if you choose wisely, but just as there are really good events, there are also rather bad ones to go with it. In the end, it's down to luck, and then choosing what's best for your nation over the next month.
My nation is in love with me, however today I received these messages and I wondered what was the best option to switch to or should I really even care about this? Monarchy - Your people approve of this form of government but the majority of your people would prefer something else. They desire a government that will invest heavily in business ventures. (Next Available Change 5/21/2010) Christianity - Your people approve of this national religion but the majority of your people would prefer something else. They desire to follow a religion that seeks freedom from greed, hatred and delusion, and enlightenment through realizing the Four Noble Truths and following the Eightfold Path. (Next Available Change 5/21/2010) Thanks.
There are no bonuses specific to your chosen religion, which means that to get the greatest happiness level out of your nation, you should switch to whichever religion they prefer. The help page here states the bonuses that come with each government type. Setting your government and religion to your citizens' preferred choice will grant you with one additional happiness point on top of the government bonuses. The government bonuses are always in effect, whether your citizens approve of it or not. You can choose to stick with a religion or a government that is not the one that your citizens prefer, but you won't receive the additional bonus to happiness (And therefore income) for doing so. Purchasing a Great Monument or Great Temple wonder will make your citizens always approve of your choice of government or religion respectively.
 8. This sounds like a common tactic used against nations by an alliance or bloc, in which three nations will group together in a "Tech raid" against the target. The purpose is not to destroy the nation, but to allow the three nations to benefit from the nation's technology. In Cyber Nations: Tournament Edition, this is even more likely due to the increased likelihood of wars within the game. If you feel that there is a genuine cause for moderator investigation into the incident, you may post a topic in the game abuse forum, located at http://forums.cybern...hp?showforum=20.
