1. doing more math with exact figures has revealed that this 3BR won't actually benefit my size of nation. unless i'm missing something in the hidden variables (mostly environment and radiation levels). our 2 nations are going to merge with another circle that has 2 right now, so there are still 2 slots open in this configuration: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=107734&st=0&p=2883959&fromsearch=1&#entry2883959 (though the two of us who're Green aren't probably changing color, and this circle may become all or mostly Green. ask the poster for that thread for details.)
2. i'm looking to start a Green Team trading circle designed to maximize population bonus as well as infrastructure buying and upkeep discounts. it will also provide Water for the environmental boost while not featuring any of the polluting resources, for a comparative environment boost of +3 relative to circles that have Water but also use Coal, Oil, and Rubber. finally, it will have Uranium in order to get the peaceful nuclear development benefits. this is meant for growing nations who want to get more income, lower infra costs, and be able to purchase infra and land more easily. please note that while there are fewer bonus resources in this circle, the base resources provide much better bonuses on their own in most cases. we will each have to change our resources to fit this plan most likely, so don't worry if yours don't fit right now. current circle members: 2 looking for 4 more! Base Resources: Aluminum Cattle Fish Iron Lumber Marble Pigs Spices Sugar Uranium Water Wheat Bonus Resources: Beer Fast Food Construction i've used an auto-calculator to figure out the exact benefits. i'm not sure that it is being done perfectly but as far as i know there have been no changes to the resource benefits made, and it seems to work fine.
3. in case anyone's thinking this thread is dead, we're still looking for 4 more circle members. edit: we're not looking for only 2 more members and have merged with this circle: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=107734&st=0&p=2883959 the 2 nations i'm posting for are still probably going to remain Green Team. let the other thread's original poster know if you are interested primarily in Blue Team circle, otherwise feel free to message either/both of us about joining.
4. is this ring still in need of repair? i have 2 nations looking to form a Green trade ring, and i've been told for my size to go for one with Affluent Population. your ring seems a good choice if you still have open slots. i have Aluminum and Water; both of us expected to change our resources probably anyway though, so we can switch to whatever.
5.
As a member of the green team and your ally VE, I feel obligated to tell you 8BR is not ideal for a nation of your size. You should try for the classic 3BR or an Aff Pop ring.
thanks :) .. i wasn't entirely sure it was the best in terms of math, but it looked better than what else i could find. i can't manage to find this chart i had before that had all the major types of trade circle, nor the detailed stats on what their effects are. i thought Aff. Pop. wasn't a good option? that was told to me before the ability to change resources was made though. taking this reply into account, i guess i'm open for suggestions as to the end-product trade circle type. anyone interested feel free to post your interest along with any ideas. to asawyer directly: do you know where i might find some more data? my alliance has been restructuring and the forum's dead for now.. not sure where anyone is either. anyway, what is the "classic 3BR"? .. i keep finding random combos but not ones that resemble the one i had recommended before. i was in a 5BR (beer, steel, construction, asphalt, automobiles) before that was pretty good.
6. hey, trying to set up a basic 8BR circle with Uranium, for Green Team, with Harbors we have 2 existing members for Green, merged with 2 people who might prefer Blue, therefore there are 2 open slots. let us know your team preference. we may (most likely) require members to change their resources in order to get the best setup, but no one will have 2 polluting resources. as i have Water as a resource, i will most likely take one of the polluting ones to balance out. also, this circle will feature Uranium. these are the base resources we'll each have: Aluminum Coal Gold Iron Lead Lumber Marble Oil Rubber Uranium Water Wheat these are the bonus resources we'll get. note the tech requirements. Asphalt Automobiles Beer Construction (needs 5 Tech) Microchips (needs 10 Tech) Radiation Cleanup (needs 15 Tech) Steel Scholars (needs 90%+ Literacy, which is at approximately 250 Tech with max Schools/Universities, otherwise about 400 Tech) also, anyone with up to 30 Tech using peaceful-only nuclear energy (in the My Government Position screen) will get additional bonuses for Uranium. - anyone interested, please post a reply and/or message me directly in-game (my ruler name is eristikophiles, nation name is Autarkotopia). also take note of alliance memberships (we wouldn't like to end up at war with each other).
