1.
It's noteworthy because you've apparently decided not to do active recruitment for the course of the war. I don't think you should expect that policy to serve your needs.
Weak language for a person who doesn't know anything.
2.
without fear from their current alliance??? Seriously??
What language did I use to indicate that? Usually when a nation applies to an Alliance the alliance asks the nation, Do you have any enemies? If the nation is responsible they'll say yes. Said Alliance would then come to the offended party and ask the nature of the offence. I would say that if both the new Alliance and the offensive nation act respectfully in talks then both parties have nothing to worry about. Also as an aside, If we notice an EoG member moved to an alliance without telling them his status. We will take it on ourselves to speak with the new alliance. Again depending on how respectful this process is both parties can get a favorable outcome.
3. Really, TheRebel was re-added because we want some new MsPaints. Also, the EoG list ins't a ZI list as people know it. There's plenty of ways to get off the list. Also, our members aren't the ones to put in the effort required to keep an EoG member in constant war. If anything a person on the list really has to worry about being attacked at random more than anything else.
4. Gooningrad, 2011. "Hold fast, boys." It was early morning, a few hours after update and an hour before dawn. A treacherous time of day at the best of times. Too dark to make out details clearly. Bright enough that your eyes were tricked into thinking they saw clearly. The knife-bright intensity that the sentries usually employed was dulled, replaced with the false security of thinking you saw everything. Conventional wisdom said you should attack at night. Conventional wisdom wasn't all that wise. No, better to attack in the half-light, where eyes played tricks, and soldiers were spooked into thinking every tree waving in the wind was an attacker. They focused on the phantoms, and didn't see the bayonet until it spilled hot blood. It was twelve updates since the siege had begun. Twelve updates, twelve armies levied against them. The grind had almost become routine. You got up, checked the horizon, made sure your supplies were holding up, checked the horizon, went for a leak and saw the steam rise in the february air, checked the horizon. If your weapon was out of arm's reach, if you yawned and stretched and took a moment to get a swig of coffee, that's when they would come. To call them armies didn't describe it right. They wore twelve different uniforms, fought in a hundred different ways. Some of them marched with military precision. Some moved skirmisher-style from cover to cover. Some readied, aimed, and fired with the clockwork perfection of an out of date tin toy. Some gibbered and ran towards the barricades, not caring as they were torn up by the defenses. This very randomness made them unnerving, as did their number. It was like being attacked by the dreams of a thousand soldiers. They were the superior force, in number at least, in armament, if you wished to count it that way. "Stand your ground, lads. Give better than you get." The officer on duty spoke behind the lines, voice as soft as a bedtime story, but filled with ice and iron. "You know what they want of you. When they come, you know what they want you to do. THey want you to run, they want us all to run. They don't want to fight us, they want to neuter us, and they think we'll just submit to it, become eunnuchs like them. They think we'll fold, because they think that given the choice between dying and becoming half-men, we'll hand over our family jewels. Now, I don't know about you, lads, but I have no intention of handing my lads over." The horizon still appeared empty. This didn't mean anything. The enemy could appear in a second, vanish without a trace. An empty horizon was a cause for nerves. "They think we care about what they can do to us. Do you care about that, lads?" The soldiers grinned, and their teeth were stained red. "Right, well our allies left us an important job here. Hold the tide back, hold off any support to the enemy. Stop them here, stop them now." "Sir!" A lookout called down. This was unexpected. Something big enough for the lookouts to see would have to be major. "Movement on the horizon, sir." the lookout said. For a fleeting second, the weariness of the situation splashed over the officer. Oh well, if it were another army joining the fray, they'd see them off as they had the others. However, there was something in the lookout's voice that told him it wasn't so. "Sir, it's the relief!" The officer looked out, and in the distance saw them. Glorious in aqua, orange, and blue. Some battle hardened, some fresh for the fight. All a sight for sore eyes. The officer grinned. "Right," he said, "Let's see if we can find something for them to do."

6. Small Problem there. OSA isn't aiming where you think it is.
7.
So does Brotherhood of Steel now meet GOONS' definition of an alliance?
I don't know about that, but they do meet the definition of Fun.
8. My heart had palpitations while reading that. Well done sirs!
9.
Are you saying this conflict is at an end and if we're going to fight we better get those shots in now?
No, he just said the same thing I did. Don't be obtuse. I'm a okay sitting here waiting for you and your friends. Good fun and all.
10.
I find it hard to believe you think our mid to upper tier is going to stay in peace mode for the entire duration of this conflict as you seem to suggest by use of the word "hiding".
Our friends and us are waiting with baited breath.
11.
I've heard we can request wars here. I'm a little lonely and only have one defensive war. Anyone care to help put me back in raiding range so I can have some fun nuking noobs?
This man needs help. He likes long walks on the beach and he listens to Mannie Fresh.
12.
Some of us have been beat down so many times we lack the capability to play in the upper tier. Take TPF, we have 1 nation that can fight anyone in umbrella's top 10. I'm sure you guys would love to have us take a suicide run at it, however we will fight the war the best way we can. We presume you guys want to make this as close to a war of extermination as possible, so we have every right to fight to our advantages and play for the long term goals. Our top end can fight when and where we choose, we are not dictated by mushroom baby tantrums.
So wait, you just acknowledge you can't win? Also, we're not here to exterminate anyone, you're free to bow out at your leisure.
13. Any Europa Ruler that I have had the pleasure of speaking with has always been entertaining. Good show old sports.
14. The site wasn't shutdown by the FBI the man took it down himself because even he knew how easy it was for a minour to find the site. My point being, it's rather easy for children to find porn without trying. So to bring that up as an argument against the mercy board is rather trite. Also after looking at the nato12 thread again myself, I do not see an images that I would say were pornographic.
15. Hay mom, I need to do a report on the White House I'm going to look online. "whitehouse.com". Damn it's been changed how long ago I don't know. http://news.cnet.com/2100-1023-202985.html
16. Well then these nations might want to make some friends if we're not the only Alliance raiding them. Now regardless of other alliances raiding the same targets we might of raided. If said nation does go through the mercy board they will be protected from us at least. To me that sounds like a good thing. They might meet people they may not of before and learn more about the game and the "politics" that runs it.
17.
Methrage will be at it again.
It'll be fun when it occurs.
18. Roger, I Don't know how other raiding alliances deal with this. I like the idea of not only peacing out with a raided nation but giving them permanent peace from our alliance.
19. Also, no one answered my question. How many other alliances offer their raided targets a way to permanent peace?
20. Well am I asking because I want to know if other Alliances offer a way to get Permanent Peace. If not and we're the only ones that offer such a status. Then I think we're better off for it. I mean think about it, Some small nation who is just minding his own business slowly growing his nation on his own. This poor person gets raided by say me. We go through the normal route and just PM for Peace. However another person in my alliance sees this poor fool and says "Hay he still looks like a juicy target" and attacks. Now had I sent this person to the Mercy Board and he did a comic depicting me as a fat ugly slob with no sex life. He would then gain Permanent Peace from my alliance. Now let's go one more step. Another nation in my alliance isn't to keen on reading our Do Not Attack List and hits this poor nation a third time. In this case the poor nation is due reparations. Now, let's go back to the whole "People not finding this funny/ Pubbie Tears". Those tears are mostly collected by people who won't or can't laugh at themselves. Since they can not or will not laugh at themselves, why/how can they truly laugh at us or with us? The reason why I bring that up is simply to say, this is a game and we're here to add another layer of interaction. Just Like IRC just like all of our Forums, Forums for BLOCS, Forums for Alliances, These forums, and thanks to US another forum donated to the Players of Cyber-nations that is made solely for a laugh and good times.
21. Yes yes, we all know about the tears blog. May I have an answer to my question though? Do other Alliances that allow tech raiding give the offended nation a way to attain permanent peace from said Tech Raiding nation?
22. Do other alliances that allow tech raiding offer ways for permanent peace? In the tech raids I have engaged in, sometimes I did just "Pm for peace". But to be honest, that's rather boring, I log in attack some poor unsuspecting fool and then next update the slot is free and nary a word was spoken between us. This is a social game I assume? Why do people want it to be so boring? Otherwise at times I sent them to the mercy board. Not only did my target get peace (not all the times) but we all had a good joke and got to know who each other are. For a game based on politics and as such being based on our own social interactions, some of you people want to play a really boring game.
23. I can understand your point. There's only one fact that helps to refute that. Our Terms are never more than a half hour of work if that. In truth they're incredibly easy any high school student should be able to cough out a poem about why we GOONS are fat and ugly (which is what the term are most of the time) in 10 minutes. Any adult that plays the game of politics for fun should also be able to draw a comic depicting GOONS as neck bearded basement dwellers (which is often part of the terms we ask). So what I'm getting at is simply this. Sure it can seem humiliating that you a pubbie a nation that finds itself at the end of our sword would have to ask us for mercy. Then you a pubbie, reads the other threads, see our terms, and hopefully you see that everything is done in a light hearted fashion. After you notice that it's all done for the benefit of humour, you should have no problem making a thread, following the rules, and completing the terms no matter how bad you are at using MSpaint or drawing on paper and scanning it, or writing a letter to Carlos Mencia about how his jokes suck. The Tubes of the InterWorld are a small and scary place, we're here to bring a ray of High Minded Humour to it all. We're Jay Sherman.
