1. Looking at Fark's membership numbers, you may get your sanction yet, Deinos.
2. Is it just me, or does that chart make anyone else really hungry?
3. Yeah I can see now that adding extra levels of complexity and human fallibility sure makes the awards voting system better??
4.
If it were me, I'd get rid of the very minor categories and simply put in the major categories for whom the choices are very obvious. Problem solved. Less polls necessary, less stupid options.
That just sounds like a ploy to give MK fewer awards
5. Well intentioned, flawed execution. A few dozen voting threads has worked before in the past, and there's no reason it can't work again now.

7. down with gons your government titles offend me get out
8.
Any suggestion that FARK continues to hold a longtime grudge against GOONS is laughable at best. First of all, there's like five to ten people in the entire FARK alliance whose nations existed back when the GOONS were holding FARK in perma-war (and as far as I can tell, they aren't even active). Second, the founders of the current GOONS were all in FARK for quite a while between the destruction of the old GOONS and the reformation. You'd have to be an idiot to think FARK was holding a grudge, yet welcoming their ranks into their own membership. Ask Lamuella if there was any "grudges" evident while he spent a few years in FARK. Why even make up something this stupid? In the grand scheme of things, the reasoning for the declaration is meaningless issue anyway.
Actually there's like 3 dozen nations in FARK that existed back then, but let's not let little things like numbers get in the way of making a point with numbers. Anyways, I'm not going to try to say that literally all of FARK has a hate boner for GOONS due to the actions of Neutral Shoving, but I'll put it like this: Whenever someone in GOONS goes to talk to an established alliance for the first time (this was still happening a lot during the period I was doing diplo work in GOONS), they get the round of obvious "How are you different from neutral shoving?" line of questioning. When FARK had its turn it was by far the most aggressive and persistant that I had seen. The reason behind the animosity was explained to a new diplomat (Hi JT Jag!) by a member of FARK as being due to the history between FARK and Neutral Shoving. edit: accidentally a word
9. Curse those MK soundrels. Fighting in a war! Well, I never.
10.
now if only you would have been classy and given back the tech to stole/destroyed after admitting your mistake. . . but don't worry guys, burglary is only illegal everywhere but on CN. . .
You have the right to possess only that which you have the strength to defend.
11.
an old idea, but...
Lamuella I love you
12.
It's like Vladimir's Law or something; all CN discussions will, if given enough time, converge into a discussion about NPO.
I believe I coined this one a while back: "As an OWF discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving the NPO approaches 1"
13.
Well since they are apparently our puppies (I'm still confused on that point and would love to see the justification, but let's roll with it), it would be mean to not let them in, and feed them the scraps.
So we give them access to SEH?
14. If a bloc is solely defined as "a defensive treaty with more than two members", then are Checkmate and The Stickmen no longer blocs?
15. And that makes you a criminal. Plain and simple.
16. ha ha ha *makes a dig at GOONS*
17. Define "just". In slightly different words, yes. So? Punishment implies a negative judgement towards the action being acted upon. I don't think that any of Doom House fails to recognize how placing your nations into peace mode is a valid tactic for preserving your nations' resources. But that's not what it's about. It's about wanting a satisfactory war and stating in plain terms how said satisfaction will be achieved.
18. I was more commenting on the nature of how terms work, and how it's silly to construe them as punishment in most cases. No alliance is being "punished" in the terms for using Peace Mode. The extent to which Peace Mode was used had influence on the terms, yes, but that doesn't necessarily make it punishment.
19. This is good news! Now my love for you feels less awkward.
20. Party A: If you want to stop fighting, we want you to do Term X. Party B: We want to stop fighting, so we will do Term X. Parties C-Z: THIS IS A TRAVESTY.
21.
At least NPO has a guaranteed six months before they get stomped again for existing.
Any longer than that and we'd get too bored.

Silly Spyops

Spying CMs is one of the more "excusable" ones here, as it's the default option in the list. So if you go to click "Target weapons of mass destruction" and click just below it, you're left targeting CMs. It's still funny because it's easy to notice, but I doubt there are many people actually doing that op on purpose.
23.
Chairman Hal may have his own opinions but for goons mine can be found here csn= in my books, Goose can explain in further detail if you're curious.
Did you hear that faint "woosh" sound? That was the point sailing past, and it went quite a distance over the top of your head. Hal's response to SirWilliam either A) implied that both CSN and GOONS were inconsequential in the signing of this treaty (huh?), or B) demonstrated a complete and perhaps willful lack of reading comprehension.
