1. You guys have some serious mettle. Best of luck, gentlemen.
2. So, that 1.5 billion we gave you guys is being used against us. Tell me, is all your membership composed of such utter &$^%s, or just the government?
3. Quite frankly, I think TOP as a whole has made our fair share of bad decisions. Our decisions aside, though, this has been a long time coming. Not that we needed to let it go down like this, but whatever. These terms are very generous, and show Nemesis to be made of higher character than i previously thought. I would do much better to accept these terms and grow my nation, rather than spend God knows how long stuck in peace mode or anarchy. That said, I'm not interested. Sincerely, thanks anyway.
4.
I find most of you completely contemptible. Your only basis for hailing us or booing us is whether or not Polaris is currently working to further your own material interests. It's alright for us to break treaties, declare wars on friends, or do anything else that might suit your fancy as long as it's in your favor. But if we're on not on "your side" then it doesn't matter what treaties we follow or what long-time (though perhaps ungrateful) friends we're helping - we're the most dishonorable scum you've ever had the misfortune to encounter - boo hoo hoo. You flip and you flop and pretend you've got some kind of legitimate basis for outrage, but you're no more than spoiled children.
I for one reserved my judgment on Polaris until I saw them re-enter on behalf of NSO. I even posted saying that those who had judged your alliance should have been feeling very foolish. I find this ironic now, because your Emperor has just proven that those who reserved their initial judgment of you were the ones judging prematurely.
5. I'm honestly thankful this DoW wasn't on our side.
6.
I note that the testicular fortitude required to declare war on the other partner of the Harmlins isn't present. I note that keenly.
And here I thought MHA didn't have an over-inflated ego. Good thing I'm used to being wrong.
7. I confess myself pleasantly surprised by the level of class shown by RoK in their DoW. I hope you all have as much fun as NEW, though that's a bit of a tall order to fill.
8.
Is funny how people are easy to change their opinion here, they go from love to hate and vice-versa in light speed. That's funny.
Some of us were reasonable enough to withhold judgment against Polaris, and I think those of us who weren't are feeling a bit foolish right now.
9.
You know, you could stop fighting TOP's battles for them too.
I for one, am glad to have people like BE standing up for TOP. OTS, TSO, IRON and the like voluntarily walked into Armageddon with us. God knows any one of them could have found a way to preserve themselves, but they didn't. That's what's nice about true friends - we burn together even when the odds are completely against us.
10.
I thought we were amoral?
Immoral, Feanor. We're immoral and evil.
11. I read your post and was not amused. I read your username, and laughed quite heartily.
12. Well, we are whoring out our stats to the half of the world that's fighting us, so I guess that counts.
13. Problem is I've heard the same sentiments expressed in your propaganda image being expressed by a lot of other people.
14. I've been hearing a lot of "TOP needs to stop letting IRON push them into doing what IRON wants." So, all you maligners need to get together and get on the same page regarding who is the servant, and who is the master.
15. Though this paragraph, more so than the rest of this post, is likely a waste of words, I'll begin by saying that this isn't just coming from a member of TOP, but someone who has watched the dealings of this world since before the fall of NoV. I'm far from a puppet of anyone, much less the alliance I met as one of the alliances who defeated my first home in Legio X. You know the difference between TOP and Athens? TOP can't conduct a tech raid, fight tech raiders, argue for peace for tech raiders or tech raided, or so much as buy tech without being insulted for it, and every other action TOP has taken since it's founding, by every loudmouth with a keyboard and the miraculous ability to use it. This has been true since before I can remember. I was in FACE last year, wondering why I was posting on the OWF in defense of our protector rather than watching them take out the trash; I was astounded at the self-restraint on the parts of TOP as whole, and those of the leadership and members. Athens, on the other hand, can run around mucking up everything from keeping some semblance of effective leadership to the kind of tech raid that few would dare try, and get off with nothing more than a bit of a tongue-lashing. Without Archon around to hold your hand, your incompetence would have been more than enough to see your alliance burned to ashes on half a dozen occasions. I can tell you that if I had ever been allied to such a skillful leader and friend, I would have made damn sure to repay him with something better than my best attempts to sully him along with everything else around you. Looking at things long-term, our method of entry into this war is going to hurt us. We're not going to come from this nearly unschathed, and we're fine with that. Personally, I'm damn tired of this world. As far as I'm concerned, you and countless others have maligned and taunted TOP at every turn, and while TOP has in turn made some bad decisions, they have done their best to do what they feel is right. Our private boards contain thread after thread filled to countless pages with members and government torn over the best choices to make in various decisions, conflicted over how to make the best decision possible for not only ourselves, but our allies and friends. No matter the course, TOP has been damned every time. Every. Single. Time. For years, the world has spat in our faces with "Do something about it." Now, we're doing something about it. You don't get to scream for war, and then choose the details of its coming. We are giving you exactly what you have demanded for so long, and if it's not in the way you would like it, well tough. I guess lot of this is our fault for the fact that a lot of TOP are idealists at heart, but there's an old maxim that applies well here - The road to Hell is paved with the best of intentions. I'm satisfied that I came back to this wretched place just long enough to join TOP in burning some of this world down around us. I doubt many, if any, of my alliance mates share my morbid endgame views, but that's one of the things I love about TOP - we can disagree to no end and still get along as brothers. To our enemies and friends alike, I'll see you all in Hell tonight. I'll excuse tardiness, but only if it's fashionably so.
16. Congratulations to TSO for proving your naysayers wrong. As far as I'm concerned, this is a damned good way towards earning back the honor you lost in the noCB War..
17. I don't expect it to be long before MK pulls out their martyr card again. You all have been rearing for this for months. Now you will receive what you asked for, though not exactly as you would like.
18. A tip of the hat to Poison Clan for thinking their war plan through. Ignore those who would tell you peace mode is for cowards only.
19. Don't forget that gargantuan bloc you have on your side. Oh, wait.
20. My respect for Polaris and Grub have risen yet another notch.
