I like this. Merchantilism is one of the big issues in CN, since alliances justify their existence by brokering tech deals. But up to a point, one can do just fine on the black market. The "credit rating" is a better and more subtle enforcement mechanism than just declaring war on the dirty rotten scoundrel and taking him down to ZI. As a tech seller, timely delivery was a matter a personal pride, and that's the kind of people I want to do business with.
