1. Why can't you people just leave the guy alone? I'm friends with him and I know he can be a little paranoid. It's really not right to try to publicly humiliate him like this.
2. Team: Blue Nation Name: Noranea National Leader: Michael Martin Link to Nation: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=341770 Your Resources: coal and gems Needed Resources: I am looking for a STABLE trade circle. I'm currently in a broken trade circle and it has been broken for over a month now. It seems pointless to continue it. My only real need is uranium in this trade circle.
3. First, I would like to say that CSN fought well in the war. You guys kept me on my toes. As Military Operations Commander of the NADC, I can say with certainty that you were probably the tougher and more prepared opponent. Overall it was a good fight and I hope you guys got the chance to talk to some NADC members. Thanks for the entertainment.
4. First off, showing something about Paul Muscat wanting to leave the NADC to join CSN HARDLY is an admission of defeat. Look at his nation. He didn't listen to the instructions for war preparation that he was given by two people. He didn't follow any orders he was given. So by all mean, take him! Do us a favor. But don't act like getting somebody like him is a huge victory because it's not. Right after he sent you that message, he sent me one begging for assistance so it sounds like he's thinking 'any port in the storm'. Secondly, is the trash talk really necessary? We all came in to assist allies and we're doing what we're able. I'm also fairly certain that a large amount of the results depend on a hefty dose of chance. There's only three or four alliances that actually have a stake in this nonsense, so calm down.
5.
Wait...you guys...trusted grub? Seriously?
They don't trust him, they're just saying it for the benefit of the war. Once it's over, I'd say NpO has to worry more about its "allies" than anybody else because people don't forget around here.
6. I used to consider NpO an honorable bunch. I'm fairly new to politics so I imagine my opinion doesn't matter much but if I'm any indication of the general attitude, NpO has some issues. First, even though your "allies" of the week may be happy to accept your help right now, they'll never trust you again, despite their claims otherwise. Neither side will. You will never live this down. I promise you that. You've proven on TWO recent occasions that anybody who sticks their neck out for you only gets it chopped off when things start to get hard. The true measure of a leader's character is when they persevere through adversity. It's sad to see NpO's leadership is the type that go wherever the wind is blowing. I'm very disappointed that such a grand alliance has been brought to such a low place by such poor leadership.
7. If you've read all 16 pages, congratulations, you have more patience than I do. Allow me to offer some helpful suggestions as well. As a person who is relatively new to CN politics, there are a few things that I find very confusing. First, why do you all use so many damn abbreviations! YOU may know who NEW is but I surely do not. I still sometimes confuse NpO with NPO. After reading a political post, I feel like I've been assaulted by the entire cast of Sesame Street with all these letters being thrown around. I know I'm not alone in this. Second, why all the arguing and back and forth bickering? You're worse than the UN! You will state your position, they will state theirs and the rest of us can draw reasonable conclusions, if we even care enough to do so. Thank you for your time. Feel free to make what you no doubt think will be a witty comment.
8. Can somebody tell me if the inactivity guidelines are different for new players? I have a new player who is saying he has a link that says "Collect taxes to remain active" and he hasn't collected taxes for only 10 days. He still has up to 25 days, right?
9. NADC loves Echelon! Except for that one guy that shows up drunk to all our parties. The point is to get drunk AT the party!
10. I just started about a day ago. Soon after joining, I started to receive a number of messages asking me to join a number of different alliances. I eventually chose one because I liked the name and they offered me a 3 million dollar bonus to sign on. I did their application after signing up for their forum, which I have now been waiting about 16 hours to get approved for some odd reason. I mean, I was invited, why do I need to be approved? Anyway, I went into their IRC room and met some people. They seem nice. Here's the problem, though. I was told that in order to get my 3 million dollar bonus, I had to get approved then go through training, then pass a test. I was never told about this in the beginning and I'm really starting to get annoyed with this alliance because it just seems like it's one thing after another. Before I go any further, I would just like to state that I am not in this alliance JUST for the money. It did affect my decision to join merely because my nation is just starting and that money would make a huge difference. But I was really excited to play the game and even more excited about the alliance. I was told by one person in the alliance that I should sell tech but when she contacted her tech buyers, they wouldn't buy from me because I have coal and gems as resources... I have no idea how that makes any sense. I kind of went off in all directions but I'm really thinking I made the wrong decision. My question and the whole reason for this post is this: Did I join a really anal alliance or are all alliances like this?
