Listen, I know I'm semi-retired, but this is how it is. I've seen it inside and out of many alliances. Thai, Folger, Tibs, etc have all talked to me about ideas strategies ( obviously not all, but their basic philosophy and government organization ) now let's get to TPF. TPF does not get involved in wars without a VERY good reason. Mistakes sometimes happen, but the way TPF is run is like this. TPF Government works their $@! off living by the TPF codes TPF Government spends a lot of time considering all angles before they go to war TPF Government believes most in ONE thing, Honor. Now I'm not saying we don't slip, but it's the single most important thing that defines us personally. TPF isn't perfect, but we do have a code of honor that we live by. I would know, I was one of the highest and some would say a very useful member of the TPF Government for two rounds or so. Well the point of all this is this. If You find yourself the subject of the Phoenix's wrath, you've screwed up, badly. Unless your goal is to have your alliance reduced to an average NS of 1000 anyway. If that's your plan so be it, but don't expect a lot of your members to be back next round. Or even care about TE after this. In any case this is the bottom line, I will always have TPF in my heart. As Thaisport said when I was in the Government of TPF, "You literally bleed TPF" I always will, no matter what comes. I will always defend them, I will always respect them, and I will always stand by them, no matter what my future holds. o7 TPF And The Phoenix Rises.. Forever.

Well done, even if you were completely wrong about any attempt to coup BG, however you wouldn't have pulled this if you knew my own health situation, which I kept secret till it became a serious issue, nothing like Folger's I am not at risk as he is. If you ever respected me, if you ever respected Folger, if you ever respected Roman Empire, hell if you ever respected anyone in this game, pray to whatever god you believe in for his recovery. As for myself, I'd gladly take your place Folger, and you know it, as I know if the situation were reversed you'd take mine. Love you bro, and I hope you realize how crucial you are to CN:TE, this game is less without you.

This is cynical but perhaps true. I just am enjoying that the people who are thought of themselves as having a huge impact, really didn't. There are so many facets of this game that people had to turn to alternative methods to avoid the boredom of endless predictable rounds. Those people are the ones who changed everything, to quote Commander Riker ( yes startrek buff, sue me ) "If you don't like the game, change the rules" those nameless people out there who changed the way the game was played by playing it not the way others thought it should be played, but the way they thought it should be played. Take Burning Glory as an example, now I'm not here to trump up votes for the man, he has no need of accolades to buff up his ego. Let's look at his particular change to the game. TPF started and remains an idea more than an actual alliance. He placed honor and friendship over "winning" whatever that means in TE ( or CN for that matter, people have their own goals in this game that determine whether or not they have "won"), he worked to create an entirely new idea. A forceful power when roused, but a fair and just one where not only is war conducted well, but also with consideration of the core values of the alliance. Now there can be people who call this stupid, who could say that "this is not blah blah blah". Let me clue you in, your opinion is meaningless to this discussion ( if it is anymore, it seems to have taken the same track as most of these posts. Namely that it's fell flat into the black hole of arguments ) the point is, he had an idea and changed his alliance, and therefore the game, from the typical idea of what defines an alliance. There are many more out there, people who change the way the game is played. I just used Burning Glory as an example because I know him best of all the people out there putting their own ideas out there. Some fail, some succeed, but in the end it's this ever changing set of ideals that make up the core of what is CN. Influence is always ideas, not actions. Actions are just the result of ideas, and a lot of ideas being touted here are nothing new, and certainly nothing that made an impact on TE.

My personal amusement is that I know who the most influential people in TE are, and some of their names aren't even on the list, and those that are have low to zero votes. That's the true sign of influence, when others don't even notice

I just hope everyone who reads this realizes that most of the people who vote in it are huge liars.

Even though I'm posting way after this thread has decended into the abyss of people arguing with each other, I wanted to bring Thai's words up here again. He and I differ on a few things, MHA doesn't do treaties but they will strike deals to do plan X, JR was a good example. The stark and final truth is this. People will play in whatever role they wish to, and there is nothing that can be done about it. If you wish to enforce your will on TE, you must do so simply by inflicting your will upon the people who disagree with you until they finally accept it. This is called War, thus it is perfect for TE. The problem in TE is competing Ego's and always has been. If someone truly wished to destroy someone else's idea of how to play TE, then devote yourself to destroying the people who think differently until they do. This is War at it's most basic, clashes of ideas where one side must fall before the other. Not on the battlefield, but on the will to continue resisting the idea of their enemy. So.... before all the ideas come out, fight it out and no mercy and no quarter. The most widely accepted idea will control TE... at least until the next force overthrows it. Welcome to Tournament Edition.

I originally going to post this on TPF forums only, however I felt that I have too many friends outside TPF not to post. First and foremost the "A Confession Thread" was obviously ment as a joke, Folger was contacted before hand and we thought it would bring some laughs to some people. Second is too say goodbye to everyone. My health has deteriorated to the point where I am unable to play and be happy doing it. A lot of that is the way I play, which is something I can't change about myself, it's been with me too long. I'd like to give some special personal acknowledgements To all of TPF, you have been a family to me when I needed it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Burning Glory, for his unending loyalty to his people. No Leader of any AA has cared more for each and every member of his alliance than BG does. The Wizard of Oz, for always believing in me ClashPoint for being one of my best friend in and out of game dogbite, for pushing so hard for me, time and time again Bionic Redhead, for never giving up or giving in Folger for being the best drinking buddy ever JonBoy16 for being my first TPF hero Tibs for being both good friend and evil villian in game, and for being a good friend out of it Lonewolfe for being Tibs twin ( or is that vice versa ) Thaisport for Life, The Universe, and Everything, and for debating constantly with me from everything with physics to philosophy Emperor Stranger, for both teaching and learning. OOC we never hated each other, and at the end I think a friendship of sort's developed between us Cameron of Lochiel, for never giving an inch Mark Reynolds, though quiet about much, listen to this man and you will hear truth and many many more, if I missed your name I'm sorry This isn't a joke, I'd like people to respond to not think it is, I will continue to be active this round only enough to keep myself from being deleted so that I do not harm my trade partners. I'd like to be remembered as an odd person who liked to shake things up, and who succeeded as often as he failed. If anything else CN and especially TPF that has been my home. If I have offended anyone in the past I ask you to forgive me, I will not claim it was unintentional in some cases, but now it's over, so I apologize I think everyone knows by now how when I am in need of words to say I use a song. I reject your reality and replace it with my own. Oh and to KD, I used MoFA in the OP, since no one would know what RaDR ment. Since I was essentially doing the job of MoFA as RaDR, I did it for simplicity's sake, if you'd prefer I use my title as RaDR then that's fine.

I am still in the middle of my OWF hiatus, however I'll post here. Trouble it is a very very very bad idea to self anarchy yourself and launch an offensive using all your soldiers, and lose, and give me the money from your bank to rebuy all the soldiers/tanks you killed, then lose two more GA's when I hit you back. Just a thought. Oh and ES, glad to see you back in form , though I'm not going to be debating/arguing anymore it is good to see you are nothing but vigilant in your posts. You and I have talked OOC about this, so you know what I mean.
