From my experience raids (defeat alert messages) do not happen under certain conditions.
If ANY ground attacks have occurred against the target nation before you get the notice then you cannot get the raid.
If any other nations involved in the war have already gotten a raid against the target then you cannot.
And it appears that nuclear attacks also void all raids for that day as well. It has been a long time since my last nuclear war, but I believe that is normal.
I have found that the best thing to do is to try to ground attack before anything else to be sure that you get the raid and do not accidentally void it some how.
Edit: All the above applies within the same update obviously.
I have, quite literally, two thousand of them.
What can I say? I collect them. I have pretty much any war sound you could want: aircraft diving to attack, small battles, explosions, fire, about five hundred different weapons, and more.

Myself and two other BLEU members triple teamed the above nation and took him from having a full army of soldiers and tanks to that. Whether you calculate by number of soldiers or efficiency he is below even five percent. Do not tell me that should not an Anarchy.
Edit: I think he just switched back to democracy today after being in Anarchy; that was before the attacks.
I got an automatic trade cancellation message today. First off, I did lose a trade. However, the trade I lost was not with the nation that was linked as the sender of the message nor had I received any previous offers from that nation. The nation in the link is zero days old.
I do not remember what nation I had been trading with.
That nation has Silver/Wheat, the trade I lost was Cattle/Wheat.

Nice, Admin used two of my ideas. Slightly modified from my original, but I like them.
Foreign Air Force Base - $35,000,000 - Raises the aircraft limit +20 for your nation and increases the number of aircraft that can be sent in each attack mission +10.
Hidden Nuclear Missile Silo - $30,000,000 - Allows your nation to develop +5 nuclear missiles that cannot be destroyed in spy attacks.
This looks like a minor bug. In the below battle report I got two result messages one says “The battle was a draw in the number of lives lost, but overall at the end of the battle your army was victorious.†And the other is “Many of your soldiers lives were lost in this battle, even more than your enemy, but at the end of the battle your army was victorious.â€
It seems odd to get both. I would think I would only get the first one “The battle was a draw in the number of lives lost, but overall at the end of the battle your army was victorious.â€
Perhaps you need to check your conditionals. It looks like the second message is executing when they are equal and not just when the attacker has more losses.
