After several days of massive demonstrations in the capitol (OOC: here), President John Wilson has agreed to new elections and a national referendum on a new constitution. Head opposition leader Wu Chen said that he was "satisfied" with the governments new approach, but was dissapointed that they still refused to re-investigate the deaths of 3 opposition figures. Meanwhile, the military is still on high alert as the violent demonsrations continue, although they have subsided thanks to the new deal announced by the president. Opposition leaders are also in arms about the deaths of 16 protesters, including 2 allegedly beat to death in a state prison. President John Wilsons government has denied these allegations, and accused the opposition of making it up to inflame tensions. The presidents approval rating has fallen like a lead balloon since the protests begin, as they shut down most of the capitol for 3 days before security forces could retake control of the city. The president has announced a state of emergency and declared martial law. A statement released from his office stated that elections would have to wait until the violence was calmed in the area. Pro-opposition news organizations have been shut down and censored, and the goverment has slowed and partially censored the internet.

After months of an inactive government, and stagnating industry and technology, protests have erupted throughout the NCE. Security forces have been deployed to protect key locations, including government buildings, but are not nearly enough to quell the massive riots. The now extremely unpopular president John Wilson has called a meeting of his cabinet, the joint cheifs, and the legislature. Head opposition leader Wu Chen, who organized the protests, has been calling for a special election, and opposition party leaders are threatening to boycott the next session of parliament. The recent protests were energized by the mysterious deaths of 3 top opposition figures. Although all 3 have been ruled by multiple sources as a death of natrual causes, the opposition is still claiming that the government was involved.

This was by far the worst war...ever. Like seriously there was more alliance dows then ingame dows. Shame on all of you.

*Classified* COI delivers a threat assessment to the president. The Italian Federation is nuclear armed, and several times our size. However, our current relations are neutral and there are multiple nations in-between us. We conclude that they are not a threat, although we will keep a close eye on them.
