  1. Hard to see, the dark side is. That's not why I fought it. Aye, aye.
  2. Well, you are right on to speak up here, and if anyone says it's bad PR, laugh from the gut.
  3. Cool and all, but you know, the neat thing about this little tangent debate that flared up here is that it is among parties who opposed you. Perhaps it looks like discord or division to those unfamiliar with free association and speech. I suspect not for much longer.
  4. So perfectly fitting that you are asking this of tautology.
  5. I'll happily get up-to-date on that when the reps recipients are published here.
  6. Perhaps my past experiences are just a bit more evil than yours? That does not mean I am not a Tygaist now .
  7. Of course they have... in secret terms. And oh dear admin, let's not let some over zealous NPO members start claiming this type of thing thanks to what I perceive as a mostly innocent lack of specificity in these surrender terms. My only point here, as a somewhat overinterested gadfly of sorts, is there is no reason to not publicly share who is getting what reps, unless it has not been decided yet, which has customarily been the case at this early stage (see Azaghul's post above). edit for Azaghul
  8. You are right to categorize those who would call this a secret term laughable, but, at the same time, all of us would be wise to recognize Lady freedom's stomach and not demean the integrity of her naturally healthy appetite. Depends on what you are doing in those underpants....
  9. I am uncertain as to how this reply will be topical, but here goes: We have lost much and won nothing, while, at the same time, we have won much and lost nothing. Also, for dee topic at hand, no one should ever win the lottery. Tis bad form. Especially when it is a metaphor.
  10. The line it is drawn The curse it is cast The slow one now Will later be fast As the present now Will later be past The order is Rapidly fadin'. And the first one now Will later be last For the times they are a-changin'. B)
  11. huh? 1. I was the one of the first to echo RandomInterrupt in celebrating no secret terms from Karma, thus my defense in this respect. 2. Are you questioning that members of the NpO were not subjected to secret terms, ala no posting on these forums, etc.? Or are you just being sarcastic here and I am immensely dense?
  12. Worst case scenario those who opposed Karma are looking for talking points here. I say big whoop. Give them the data and let them knock themselves out.
  13. Maybe it's time to throw old PR considerations into the wind and just let out with it? What harm is there that can be done now that will not be done within a month or so to the same extent or worse? and
  14. I guess I am slower in my old age but this sort of sloppiness really is nothing new here. Not that this makes it right whatsoever today. We expect more today, as we should and I am glad you are raising these questions here, even if I still want to direct you to what is really meant by secret terms, something many reading here do not know, no matter their .gov titles.
  15. I agree that these need to be posted. So that is out of the way, I hope. i.e. we agree there. However... in my memory, most large scale war reps negotiations go on for months behind the scenes... which is not the same as secret terms in the sense of secret terms most of us posting about secret terms hope to communicate here. Yes it gives that appearance and it is bad in that respect and not something I support, but it really is not on the same level of the secret terms you see many people in this thread referring to. edit, italics, etc & some more
  16. Well osnap? Either: a. ShinRa has some splainin to do or b. MV has some splainin to do or c. both have some splaining to do or d. all of the above or e. none of the above One thing I do know is I hate multiple choice tests.
  17. Reps breakdowns rarely make this scale of announcement. Not that this a good thing, but it hardly counts as secret terms. Further, secrecy would be impossible in reps since we can see just who the NPO tech-ads in the coming months... while we would not necessarily be able to see who they, hypothetically speaking, expelled from government or from alliance membership. Or... who they were forced to.... ah, nevermind.... hopefully you see the difference.
  18. This post wins the thread for me, so to speak. It says it all. Here we have an NPO member realizing and pronouncing his disbelief that there actually is a negotiated peace wherein nations in peace mode will be allowed to leave peace mode without fear of being attacked at some point uncertain. Such was never the case in Pacifican-negotiated peaces, at least that I can recall. In fact, I was surprised to see at least two large (top 20) NPO nations emerge from peace mode shortly after this peace agreement was posted. I can't recall ever seeing that happen with such swiftness and trust following an NPO peace decree. If I were a Sith, I'd say the NPO knows just how weak their opponents are and that they do not need to change anything. As a Jedi wannabe I'll just say something ambiguous: Different ideologies at work, for certain. Never mind that I just said both, these are not the droids you are looking for.
  19. Cheers to Schecterville, whereever you are now... and Darth Andrew too, I think. Also, a hearty congrats on 3 years.
  20. [edit, according to what an aide is whispering in my ear right now] It is not such a simple solution for [according to another aide, who is sort of pretty darn attractive if you know what i mean, but i should not be focusing on that] it is the reflection of Planet Bob that makes this tanline-generating moon glow so. Why else do you think so many of us [some sith sicko is making me say this] now only visit Planet Bob, and reside in other star systems? ( i still live here on Planet Bob, so all good thar)
  21. Yeah pretty deplorably, reprehensibly bad taste. You fiend. Also, I've never heard of firefly as something to screen. Something to squeeze perhaps and smear on my cheeks and run around at night but not something to screen Unless you mean the essence of firefly as some sort of moonscreen? Can I get a moonburn? Is that something we should be worried about now after so many nukes have detonated??!? edited: edited
  22. Scientistic terms like power vacuum should remind all of us just how clueless politicians really are. Also, thanks for the riots of 63, ZG. Every time you post that's all I think of.
  23. I dunno: I'll let the community judge. [end ic] MV - cool/yep, also love the BMG and that was all I saw/could focus on when I looked at the screenshots
