  1. Oh my god why are we still talking peace mode. This is just irritating.
  2. You believe Borderlands 2 to be above average? Good! Because CoD is average at best.
  3. "Far Cry 3 was the best all around game of the three. Now I'm going to rank it second and less than Call of Duty." This is just sad. You're not even funny bad, or infuriating bad. You're just BAD bad. Also, lolz at CoD or Halo 4 being considered in the top 10 games of the year. If you're just looking at the top 3 FPS's, CoD gets kicked out by Borderlands 2. Oh well, just another day in the life of Tom Riddle.
  4. Um.... no. It's really not that complicated, it's just not a pill you all would prefer to swallow. But, to make it easy for you, I'll break it down. EQ is saying we would like the middle tiers of C&G to come out and play. Rush has been saying that we should not ask this because we cannot handle the nations on our plate. He included data that is not relevant but benefits his point, i.e, nations that are NOT the mid-tier that we were originally discussing. I broke down the stats, showing the slot occupation in the middle tiers that we are discussing. The stats happened to show that we have in fact been covering the middle tiers quite well. After his point being proven malarky, C&G has cried 'bias' over the fact that the nations that were not relevant to the PM comments, that is the small sub-5k ones (some would say sub-10k), were not included in the stats. However, the fact is very simple. Small and big nations were not thrown out because I didn't like them. They were thrown out because they're not applicable to proving that we can't handle the nations in PM. The ranges where there are in fact multitudes of nations in PM were included, because that's what this discussion i about. Learn to pick your battles. You've already lost this one. You're just making yourselves look dense. And regardless of any stats, EQ is also calling Rush's bluff. If we cannot feasibly handle C&G's PM warriors like he says, BRING. IT. ON.
  5. My bad. Xbox was the first console that people actually bought to do it.
  6. Alright then, if we suck so bad, put your money where your mouth is. Unleash the PM nations we are too inept to handle. If not, shut up and quit trying to win an argument that nobody's buying.
  7. Sardonic hasn't had a good spanking since he was treatied to Liz. It's about time.
  8. Sigh... Rush's attempt at a point was that EQ is so incapable that we can't handle the few targets that aren't in PM, so we shouldn't ask for C&G to release those that are in the ranges of 100k-20k. This is incorrect for 2 reasons. Firstly, if we really were incapable of handling the extra targets and if Rush actually thought so, they wouldn't bother putting them in PM. Secondly, as my stats show, in those ranges we are performing quite well. But, please, continue to try to paint us as incapable of doing anything. I'm certain the mouthbreathing will stick regardless of the facts blaring in big red lights otherwise.
  9. ITT, Rush tries to veil his seething jealousy over the fact that our overlords let us sit at the big kids table while his don't. :P But yeah, let's take a better look at those numbers. We'll start with the alliance for which this thread was titled: GATO. GATO-51 nations in war mode out of 192. ~25%. Total available defensive slots: 153 Total taken: 24 Seems abysmal, does it not? Well let's take a look at who exactly are the brave souls in war mode. 100k+ Nations- 5/11, 15 slots, 0 defensive slots filled. 80k-100k Nations- 3/13, 9 slots, 0 defensive slots filled. 60k-80k Nations- 2/27, 6 slots, 1 defensive slot filled. 40k-60k Nations- 5/24, 15 slots, 11 defensive slots filled. 20k-40k Nations- 2/25, 6 slots, 6 defensive slots filled. 20k-10k Nations- 1/16, 3 slots, 2 defensive slots filled. 10k-5k Nations- 1/12, 3 slots, 1 defensive slot filled. 5k-1k Nations- 7/27, 21 slots, 3 defensive slots filled. 1k-0k Nations- 25/33, 75 slots, 0 defensive slots filled. Now, as you can see, HALF of the slots are nations that are under 1k NS. Essentially, nations that are out of range of any nation that's received tech deal money. I'm gonna wager that they're not in range of anybody complaining, so it's only fair that we take them out of the running. GATO- 26/159 Nations in War Mode, ~16% Total Available Defensive Slots- 78 Slots Taken- 24 Now, we also have to take into account that yes, we do not have an upper tier advantage. Especially since GATO in particular showed up when we were mostly deployed onto ODN and INT already, so obviously there wasn't much to do against this upper tier. Really, you can't call us inefficient and incompetent because our upper tiers are already occupied. So the 100k+ nations (of which GATO still has half of in PM), we can take out of consideration. GATO- 21/148 Nations in War Mode, ~14% Total Available Defensive Slots- 63 Slots Taken- 24 Although, frankly, a third of that is nations under 5k. Honestly, they fall under the same rule as the <1k nations. Really not even an effective need to worry. GATO- 14/121 Nations in War Mode, ~11% Total Available Defensive Slots- 42 Slots taken- 23 Next, we'll look at ODN. These guys have much less in peace mode, but then again, when they declared they were expecting merely NATO plus a counter, not a dozen alliances, so they obviously didn't throw as much in. ODN-120/221 Nations in War Mode, ~54% Total Available Defensive Slots- 360 Slots Taken- 178 And we break it down in terms of NS: 150k+ 1/1 nations, 3 slots, 0 taken 100k-150k, 2/7 nations, 6 slots, 0 taken 80k-100k, 4/12 nations, 12 slots, 2 taken 60k-100k, 4/11 nations, 12 slots, 8 taken (one just expired) 40k-80k, 10/23 nations, 30 slots, 29 taken (one just expired) 20k-40k, 13/36 nations, 39 slots, 36 taken (three just expired) 10k-20k- 11/34 nations, 33 slots, 27 taken (six just expired) 5k-10k- 10/22 nations, 30 slots, 23 taken (one just expired) 1k-5k- 23/30 nations, 69 slots, 37 taken (six just expired) 1k-0k- 41/45 nations, 123 slots, 16 taken And of course, we subtract the appropriate NS ranges, and as for the slots that just expired today, rather than award them to either side under the assumption that they will or will not be filled, it's more prudent to ignore them. ODN-53/138 Nations in War Mode, ~38% Total Available Defensive Slots- 141 Slots Taken- 124 Rush, since this is your thread, we may as well take a look at your alliance next. (I'm ignoring the AA hopping nations) TLR-49/109 Nations in War Mode, 45% Total Available Defensive Slots- 147 Slots Taken-112 All in all we're actually doing a good job here, but for the sake of consistency, we'll just take a look at those applicable ranges: 80k-100k- 0/4 Nations, 0 slots, 0 filled 60k-80k- 2/8 Nations, 6 slots, 5 filled 40k-60k- 4/12 Nations, 12 slots, 12 filled 20k-40k- 17/39 Nations, 51 slots, 43 filled 10k-20k- 6/17 Nations, 18 slots, 16 filled 5k-10k- 7/10 Nations, 21 slots, 18 filled (one just expired) Thus giving a grand total of: TLR- 36/90 Nations in War Mode, 40% Total Defensive Slots- 107 Slots Filled- 94 And finally, we have INT. INT- 37/93 Nations in War Mode, ~40% Total Defensive Slots- 111 Slots Filled- 55 Every nation above 50k is in peace mode, so we'll just stick to the nations between 50 and 5k as per usual. 40k-50k- 2/4 Nations, 6 slots, 6 filled 20-40k- 6/16 nations, 18 slots, 16 filled 10k-20k- 2/8 nations, 6 slots, 6 filled 5k-10k- 2/12 nations, 6 slots, 3 filled And INT's final totals for the ranges of relevance: INT- 12/40 Nations in War Mode, 30% Total Defensive Slots- 36 Slots Filled- 31 Now, let's just put these things together now, shall we? C&G, despite the fact that we all know GATO ain't DH fans and that you yourself Rush have stated on the OWF that you weren't thrilled with defending Umb over this, likes to stick together. So let's toss together your stats. C&G- 115/389 Nations in War Mode, ~30% Total Defensive Slots- 326 Slots Filled- 272 This gives us a grand total of 84% of C&G slots filled. Funny how poorly you hold up when you take an actual look at the numbers of your alliances. But please, continue to call us inactive and incompetent. You're the guy who failed to get almost half his alliance into PM when he wanted them to.
  10. The PS3 is probably selling for that NOW. Sardonic's closer to the mark. But yeah... PS4 I guess will have better graphics... but who cares about that. I still go back to PS1/PS2 games and enjoy them regardless of the huge difference in graphic ability. Hell, some of those graphics actually hold up. Then there's 'enhanced processor' which means next to nothing as I really don't think we're reaching anywhere close to the limit of what these consoles can handle, and the PS4 certainly won't compare to a good solid PC. The new controller apparently has a 'share' button. Which you could probably just integrate with a software download on the PS3, so that's just laziness on their part. I mean, it's not as if anything that function does is groundbreaking or original. It's just making popular things accessible, which once again, you just do with a software update as I'm pretty sure that the 'share' button will just open up a menu where you choose between all the functions and what you're sharing and etc. Hell, on the 360 this'd just be something added ot the guide menu, and on the PC... oh whaddaya know? You can easily do it yourself on there. The PSMove isn't impressive. It's a belated attempt at competing with the Wii's success, and it's actually inferior to the Kinect. It will also be cared about as little as the Kinect is, if not less. Sony really is behind the curve there. 8GB memory isn't impressive. My XBox that I got back in like 2007 had 16. External harddrives are common by people who need them. And you can now buy an Xbox with like a 250 GB built in harddrive IIRC. And considering how popular DLC is, the fact that they're only offering 8 when you can get flash drives with better memory is kinda sad. And a lot lot less! Legit, the PS4 announcement revealed nothing. All we got is that the PS4 is gonna be just like the PS3 but apparently with some hardware upgrades. And that's it. Essentially what we expected, with no ingenuity or anything to set it apart from the pack. Honestly, only thing we learned is that despite the fact that the Wii demolished this gen of consoles when it came to sales, and that the PS3 had a horribly slow start and could be easily argued as the overall loser, that Sony is continuing to do nothing different. As for these amazing titles, Destiny is not a PS4 exclusive. It's just not gonna be an Xbox exclusive, which we all expected it wouldn't anyhow, however Bungie's fanbase is mostly on Xbox because that's where Halo is, so really not anything for Sony to rave about. As for Diablo, it's a PC game. Not a PS4 game. Fanbases are very different, games don't always cross over perfectly unless you're Valve. And especially not if they're tactical RPGs. Probably won't get cross-buys. And moreover, why in the name of Admin would anybody buy Diablo III for the PS4 when they probably already have it on the PC? Which, as is a given, is a much better platform for games than most consoles in terms of hardware. So congrats. You're ranting and raving about what is basically the PS3, which was basically the PS2 but with built in wifi and bluray, which was basically an upgraded version of the PS1. Nintendo has the decency to innovate the hell out of their systems, and so popular that the other two actually copy them, while Microsoft gave us the two things that have completely overtaken mainstream console gaming, online multiplayer (Xbox Live) and those darned achievables. PS: Steam Box was more exciting than this.
  11. In the declaration, yes, of course. Which I'm still okay with, because then we're Tormund "Look at my massive member" Giantsbane and Mance Rayder. Both of whom are better than the Baratheons, who are fat (Robert), prickly and unlikeable (Stannis) and of course, flamingly homosexual (Renly). But throughout the thread the references have been more towards Targaryens.
  12. It's always the little guys who have the most balls. Welcome to the fight guys.
  13. So you're choosing death by starving yourselves in peace mode? Well that's no fun. Well now I'm just impressed that they can predict the last two weeks of a war. That takes some skill.
  14. You're late. Then again... I'm not even sure if I'd call this 'here'.
  15. The only things I've gotten out of this thread is that this is a worst blitz than most ghost decs, and R&R is apparently House Targaryen, home of the badass dragon lords and hot chicks who show boobs. In which case, I D34th needs to go make some Ghiscari propaganda. And tell Bambi to put out more.
  16. Rebel Virginia: Retaining Old Grudges Based on Things that Happened Half a Decade Ago through Hell and High Water Godspeed.
  17. *blinks* YOU GUYS VOTED FOR CABLE?! :P Great lineup though.
  18. Like I said, it came across as bragging to me, and frankly it annoyed me. I read it more as Deinos trying to put itself on the level of Fark, which is about as absurd and uncalled for as the lovechild of Schatt and Tom Riddle. Evidently it was not, so there's no issue except the collective enjoyment of name calling. I'll admit I may have reacted more vitriolically than I should have or normally would, but oh well, it's the OWF. If your post doesn't have at least one uncalled for and overexaggerated ad hominem attack it doesn't count :P
  19. My main point was in fact that Deinos doesn't deserve praise and doesn't deserve bragging rights for the fight against Fark. Perhaps it was not the intention, but it certainly came across as that's what you all were doing. You fought Fark without too much backup. Sure, took some solid cajones, good job, but it simply came across to me as the Fark fight being held up as a trophy of Deinos's prowess... which is fairly idiotic. You could've done worse, but you don't brag about it. You shrug off the shots of ineptitude and you just go out and prove them wrong unless you really do have some magnanimous accomplishment to unveil.
  20. Firstly, the idea that Deinos is calling anybody a cut-rate third string alliance is laughable when you guys are basically the modern equivalent of GGA. Get over yourself. Some people can pull it off because it's funny, your smug attitude that Deinos is worth something impressive is just annoying. Secondly, don't go around bragging about your performance. You were on the winning side. The overwhelmingly winning side. Getting a stalemate is not something to be proud of when you're on the winning side. It's really more of a credit to Fark that they pulled that off rather than a credit to you, because even if you claim the majority of the wars, you still had major support from Umbrella and TLR (mostly TLR IIRC, major peace moding going on with Fark and Umb. And that protectorate), and since, as you said, you were fighting with primarily 50-200 day old nations, that means they probably did more of the heavily lifting up top than you guys, and incidentally, far more damage. Of course, this brought those nations down to your range, where theoretically Deinos's higher numbers (since your alliances was primarily those 50-200 day old nations) should have proven an advantage though a difficult one due to the tech discrepencies, but that combined with TLR's support should have made dealing decent damage to Fark maneagable, though still a difficult task because let's face it, it's Fark. Instead, you got a 'stalemate'. Now this should be fairly clear. Stalemate is not a victory for the winning side. It's not something to brag about. Unless there's some unusual circumstances such as the alliance being impossible to counter due to treaty ties (see NATO v MK in Dave), then stalemate is worth about as much as the loser calling it a 'Strategic Victory' publicly. I'm sure Deinos did acceptable, admittedly I didn't pay attention, but the fact is the result is literally nothing to brag about. It's better than Fark forcing you to surrender, sure, but it's worth about as much as bragging "I fought Fark!". But hey, let's just look at the results. Fark's mostly recovered and while their top tier isn't what it used to be, they're still a powerful fighting force and a healthy political entity. Deinos? Still hasn't recovered. So yes, go fight NPO. I'm sure you'll give them loads of trouble. Edit: Political potshots aside, I like the new avatar, honestly 10 times better than the red headed stepchild one :)
