He has no basis to claim control, it would be like me switching to the GOONS AA and claiming it as mine.

o/ our new viceroy. First it was the needless aggravation of GOONS beyond necessity or even diplomatic prudence. At some point, nothing is getting accomplished. Then there was the changing of the alliance name. If we changed from Citadel because the name was taken, why did we switch to another taken name? Even the posted charter still contains numerous references to the Citadel instead of the Nexus. These were clearly the mad actions of a tyrant. I again salute our new leader, may he lead us to greatness.
No basis but the support and love of the people, no doubt.
 2.
You can see he's not even using the Nexus name, now he switched to the Citadel along with his one supporter. He's trying to damage Nexus or take control and be a GOONS puppet.
Making unfounded accusations does little to back your claims of legitimacy.
 3.
JamezBfod has no government authority and isn't even signed up on the forum. He's a coward who hid in peace mode the whole time in Citadel and Nexus as well, he's just been ghosting the Nexus AA. This announcement is fake and JamezBfod is a rogue belonging to no alliance.
More Nexus members have supported James than have you. Who are you to say that this announcement isn't legitimate?
 4. A brave and noble move. We can only hope that Nexus will prosper under the leadership of JamezBfod.
 5. You mean a bunch of amateur technology experts jumped on someone without knowing what they were talking about? Incredible!
You may find this confusing, but "moralism" and "morality" are not the same word. Feel free to send a PM to Vladimir if you continue to have trouble understanding the difference between the two.
 7.
The quote you picked out yourself in that very post makes it exceedingly clear that he is propounding a theory of morality just as I said. The jaw drops and the hand smacks the forehead. Apparently you dont even understand what a theory of morality is, and given that the meaning of the phrase can be accurately deduced from the three words of which it is composed, I can only marvel at your truly astonishing lack of comprehension of what I presume is your own native language.
I'm always pleasantly surprised by the pompous idiocy which some posters manage to carry on conversations. Take a second, just one, out of formatting those moronic hip shots to learn to differentiate between the words "morality" and "moralism". You see, "morality" is a word that signifies a code of ethics or set of beliefs held by a person or group. As much as your overworked heart might skip a beat at my dear friend Vladimir's mention of the word "morality", you must understand that "moralism" and "morality" are not identical words. In fact, some of the letters are completely different! You see, my over-aggressive opponent-of-the-day, "moralism" is an ideology, and relative to Cybernations refers to the strict adherence to a code of ethics, typically in the sense of classical liberalism. That means that a moralist, or moralist alliance, would fight for the principles of "liberty" and "self determination" over concepts like, say, "order" and "stability". Any casual forumgoer might have trouble distinguishing between Pacifica's consistently and clearly stated policy of scientific realpolitik and emotionally based moralism. However, you and I both know that you are much, much more intelligent than the average poster. Thus, it would behoove you to consider the actual definitions of words, their historical significance, and the context of the discussion taking place before you decide to shoot off unnecessary insults toward your intellectual betters. Thank you for your time.
 8.
Assuming you have actually read the links in queston it is your comprehension level that needs work.

It is self-evident, then, that international rights do not exist... (Slavery of International Rights) We can therefore see morality as entirely relative, changing from person to person, from group to group, and that the vision of an absolute morality is nothing more than the forced extension of one's own morality onto others... (On the Nature of Absolute Morality) Having discussed the nature of the international sphere -- amoral, competitive, anarchic -- we can begin to realise why this short article is titled 'The Great Abyss'... (The Great Abyss)
Those who smugly denigrate the reading comprehension of others should only do so when they have actually read the works in question. Nonetheless, this discussion is irrelevant to the topic at hand, so I'll leave it at that.
 9.
Actually Vladimir expounded a theory of morality which sought to justify each and every action of Pacifica. Your memory or your comprehension level may need some work.
I would suggest that you actually read some Pacifican ideological theory before trying to patronize me.
 10.
Makes sense cause moralism has no absolute tenets. It is merely a soapbox from which certain people who have too much free time decry the legitimate play-style of others.
Your post rebuts itself. Have a nice day.
I would say that a moralist is someone that does what they are doing claiming that it is morally right. That's what they did.

Short memory much?
Anyone who has read their Vladimir knows that Pacifican ideology rejects morality in its entirety. Feel free to equate ideologies on opposite sides of the political spectrum if it suits your purposes.
 11.
Not in the slightest. Last thing I feel like dealing with is your goddamn moralism all over again.
I never thought I'd see the day when Pacifica was grouped with moralists. Well, there's a time and place for everything I suppose.

 16.
While obviously the GGA isn't going to become involved in some international incident over a couple of members, I think people are ignoring the fact that GGA has, and has always had, a blood oath that requires permission to leave the alliance. This is mostly a formality, as I'm not sure anyone has ever been denied permission, but on the other hand the oath has always been in existence, and new members take it knowing full well what it says.
I think you are ignoring the fact that the blood oath presumes a level of ownership over members that should not rightfully exist. Perhaps your new-and-improved GGA should implement policies that realistically deal with personal sovereignty.

The Moralist Front and Rome have known each other for quite some time. Our relationship has been positive and beneficial to both parties. In that light, we have decided to expand our relationship and begin to work anew for the mutual security and prosperity of our alliances. We present the following treaty: Pax Romanorum ARTICLE I Both alliances agree to be respectful to one another in public and private, and resolve any disputes through proper diplomatic channels. Both alliances agree to respect each others' sovereignty. ARTICLE II Neither alliance shall take military action or engage in espionage against the other; similarly, no financial or military aid may be rendered by either alliance to any party committing hostile action against the other. Any information gathered by one of the signatories with potential impact on the security of the other shall be promptly and privately forwarded to them. ARTICLE III Both parties shall come to the defense of the other in the case that one party finds itself in a defensive war. ARTICLE IV Member nations are strongly encouraged to provide assistance, based upon need and the best potential for development, between both alliances. The governments of the signatory alliances are expected to promote this kind of cooperation and encourage their member nations to be involved in it. Article V If one of the signatory alliances decides to cancel this agreement, it must give the other party 72 hours notice prior to the official cancellation, during which all articles will be upheld. Signed, For Rome: Mangetar - Consul AlphonseVII - Senator Richard I - Senator Smallz - Senator For the Moralist Front: Vilien, Consul Giovanni, Praetor of Communications The Senate of the Moralist Front - - - - - The Moralist Front is blessed and honored to have such excellent friends as those in Rome. We hope that this treaty will only be the beginning in a long and healthy friendship.
