RIP Vanguard. Long live the Mushroom Kingdom! As one of the founding members of Vanguard, I cannot say how much it pains me to see the alliance go, yet I cannot stress that to merge into the Mushroom Kingdom is the best solution we had come across. Well now, there's some dangerous logic. I think Athens was justified, but that's the kinda thinking that let NPO get away with years of BS CBs and war conduct. Three simple words summed up their interactions with other alliances: "Deal with it." Alliances should be held accountable for their actions, no matter how powerful.

An honorable move. While it is unfortunate that we must meet on the field of battle, I respect your decision to honor your treaty with NPO. It is nice to know that not all of NPO's allies are sunshine soldiers.

This isn't the way I'd imagined things would happen, but I'll still strike with the same fury. With each strike, the spirit and history of alliances of a by-gone era will finally be reconciled. I have waited 2 long and bitter years for a second chance, and while it isn't quite as glorious as I'd hoped it would be, it's a moment that's welcome nontheless. NPO, may our fight be honorable, and may you hold nothing back, because we will not.
