It's working much better for me now.

I think I’ve had this problem for 2 weeks. IE9 isn’t an option for me; I’m using XP. I’ve also been having problems with the side-scrolling headlines on Yahoo’s homepage and Facebook profiles, but I wouldn’t describe those as running slow.

I’m having problems with pages loading slowly on both the homepage and the Nation Display page. All other pages work well. The problem happens in both SE and TE. I am currently running IE8. I have cleared the cache and deleted my browser history. Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are all enabled. Telling me my browser sucks does not qualify as helping.

If I enter War Mode to complete a Foreign Aid transaction, can I return to Peace mode and if so how soon?

I've got sugar and lead, and they don't do much for me. I'm trying to run a country based on pacifist ethics, but every time I need a trade I go looking for war mongers. I feel like such a sellout.
