  1. Why is it selfish for us to want to go our own direction? How is it any more selfish than your desire to take us in your direction? Why must either of us sacrifice? Can't it be seen that different directions were simply chosen by the both of us?

I speak of honor because I view it as an intrinsic right of sovereignty that an alliance be able to plot its own course and its own consequences. I speak of personal responsibility as an attribute of honor. We went our own way, you went ours. Yours unfortunately put your group in the middle of the road before ours. Unfortunate, but you chose the path as was your right.

You didn't simply shake hands and part ways. You both walked opposite directions, and NPO took ten steps turned around and fired.
  2. "tenacity"

You tapped out of defending pacifica after barely 4 weeks in your last war together. It might not have even been that long. Your tencacity, much like your loyalty is an absolute farce. Go back to sleep JudgeX, no one missed you.

I'll admit I have no knowledge of last war, but 4 weeks is a fairly long time for a CN war. If they weren't committed they would have pulled out a week in like I've seen certain alliances do. No one that is uncommitted stays for a full four weeks.

In any case, that does not undo the years that TPF put in to defend you guys.
  3. No it's not. If TPF interpreted our new allies as their enemy, they were completely free to break with us and declare war on us when they wished.

They question isn't "can" an alliance do something. It is "should". Surely you don't believe an alliance that burns for you for the majority of this world's existence should be tossed aside like a dirty tampon do you?
  4. If I was able to get a protectorate signed despite the deep hatred held by some in Oculus for me and my alliance, there's no reason MI6 can't pull itself out of this mess. It's really a leadership issue.

Pull ourself out of what mess? Our leadership is fine. We have Oculus right where we want them being hammered by our nukes.

Again I'd rather be doing what I want than being a candidate for betrayal any day. At least MI6 know our allies aren't about to target us for destruction.

That's not to say there aren't respectable alliances in Oculus. The alliances and people that I like there know who they are and I hope they make it out of there ok.
  5. I think the folks in Oculus know NPO will take out allies of it's expedient. I mean they've done it continuously for years. This is just another chapter that includes VE, FAN, Polar,STA, Invicta, Legion, and if you want to really push the issue everyone in equilibrium. Solution- just never follow NPO's impulsive whims.

MI6 knows Oculus hates us. Envy will make you hate alliances with balls if you have none. I can't speak for my other alliance mates but I don't fucking care. I'd rather be awesome and do what I want than a pansy ass backstabbing alliance.

  6. I gotta disagree with you here mate.

There's a big difference between going in overkill on an alliance, knowing with reasonable certainty that they have lots of allies and allies of allies ready to jump in that will make the odds more even, and going in when they don't have so many people ready to jump in on them.

Everyone looked at the numbers and the chains before this war, so it's its disingenuous to just look at things right now in isolation.  And everyone knew it's be absurdly one sided.  I'm not saying all sides need to be equal, but I'd be very surprised if the ratio in this war ever gets less than 5:1.  Even even in Dave War, where MK concocted a ridiculous CB to attack people again that we had just beaten down the war before, the odds never were greater than 2:1.

This isn't about MI6.  This is about how absurdly lame Oculus is.

As an attempt to be the yearly global war, this war is a pathetic joke.

Although you've usually been on the opposite side of things; you've always been a straight talker. Kudos to you. O/
  7. It's pretty mind-boggling to me that NPO's logic on this is "crappy stuff happened to us, so what if we do crappy things."  Bruce's comments border on illiterate, the path he takes from A to Q makes me think he's probably drunk.

And can someone please put one in Mealstrom's throat for smugly saying "you should keep up with the times" about a treaty cancellation that NPO DIDN'T POST, you jackass.

Maybe having Caitlyn inside begging to get out was just too much for him to make literate statements?

Apparently that's what people do these days. This is the first time I've seen anyone make the biggest bloc in CN and be too ashamed to name their fellow conspirators. They didn't learn anything from 09.

  8. But if people don't believe the reasons they develop for justifying the war, isn't the entire exercise of war reduced to annoying schedules, the compiling of statistics, and repetitive rote mechanical motions? Basically the fun experience itself is believing your opponent deserves it, not the instrumental task of war itself.

    Yo wasup IAT?

Do you really believe these "just because" DoWs, which have become so popular post-MK's preempt of NPO way back when, is the way to go when you want to believe your "opponent deserves it"?
  9. Someone should get the balls to wipe MI6 off the map for good. People like Chimaera and Gibs are what is wrong with this world.

Also love the fact that you are so embarrassed that you have a treaty with GOONS that you refuse to reveal it.
