(OOC: While CNRP definitely doesn't rp the long-lasting effects of nuclear weapons on the environment. It's silly to try and dismiss the concerns other nations would have with the fact that an unrecognized rebel group has seized and launched nuclear weaponry.) "We hope this situation does not spiral beyond the control of the Commonwealth of Umbrella. Otherwise we feel the international community would be entirely justified in intervening to remove the threat of nuclear weaponry from these Rebels."

Well considering my current President was on that original trip I don't think he'll be on board... but I'll think about creating a character for this.

Vincent would nod after Vilhjalmsson finished answering his question. "It certainly had a domineering tone in it's original wording, but given your explanation we can certainly find nothing wrong with the idea it espouses... With that being said, it is my hope that our nations can work in tandem with Mexico to put an end to the various destabilizing influences that have plagued North America." Vincent would lean back in his chair and take a sip of water. He awaited the treaty to be presented for inspection.

Vincent would take a seat and nod at the suggestion. "A glass of water would be nice." He would listen intently as Mr. Vilhjalmsson would speak before replying. "Yes, I think that would be acceptable to us as well. Obviously Greenland has served as one of the more stabilizing powers in North America alongside Mexico for some time now. We would hope to mirror that fate in our own actions over time and a strengthening of relations between our nations would only serve those aims." "I would have only one question though. With regards to your recent joint doctrine with Mexico. Currently much of the Eastern Seaboard falls into a joint sphere between your nations. We would obviously like to know how this would effect our affairs in that area and if at some point we may be considered the stewards of the Easter Seaboard."

Vinsalia would receive notice of this resurgence of J Andres with disdain. Officials within the office of continental affairs would be quoted as saying "We see little reason to applaud the renewing of a stagnation of American politics." Whilst President Bourbon would be quoted as saying "It is good to see our northern neighbors reorganized into a sovereign entity once more. I can only hope it becomes an engine of progress for the North...not an agent of regression."

Prime Minister Vincent Hawkins would arrive in Eyvindsson City after a 4 hour flight from Albany, New York. After touching down he would be escorted to the Royal House by a convoy of Greenland limousines and police escorts. As his vehicle entered the compound he would be astounded by the beauty and regal nature of the Eyvindsson Royal House. Stepping out from the vehicle he would greet the Greenlandic officials awaiting him. "It's nice to finally meet with you here Mr. Vilhjalmsson...our government has been looking forward to this meeting for some time now." Extending a hand in friendship with a smile he would await the gesture to be reciprocated by his Greenlandic counterpart.

Obviously you have fundamental disagreements with our "side" and that is fine. If you want to debate them you'll have to do a better job of framing your arguments then what you've done so far.

I mean what sense is there in trying to score points against an organization that has been disbanded for years now? Obviously, there isn't any. I was simply presenting my version of events as I saw them from the neutral shores of NV, nothing more and nothing less.

By the time the Pacifican power structure began to crumble upon itself, it had for the most part ceded the airways completely over to the opposition. I recall there being a year-long radio silence where members of NPO were prohibited from posting on the forums so as to prevent any further degrading of their PR standing on the OWF and by the time that was lifted the PR war was already well out of their reach. So this romanticized idea of glorious debates being put forward from around that period is misleading. Walls of text were being posted in opposition to the Hegemony but there simply was not much credible opposition defending against those stances at that point. Vox and other opposition for the most part had the keys to the city and posted without much opposition. At one point Pacifica made a desperate attempt to reclaim some of the lost grounds by having Vladimir and some other less notable Pacificans actively debating on behalf of the Hegemony. But for the most part the arguments they made were easily discredited as propaganda pieces or diluted to the point where they fell on deaf ears as rambling texts of rubbish. The real glory days of debates and political discussion came about in 2006-2007 ...not the time period of Vox. So while many of you are enjoying the nostalgic trip to the Voxian era let's not get too ahead of ourselves in proclaiming it the golden era of discussion.

A communication would be sent to Mexico informing them of President Bourbons trip. He would arrive 48 hours later aboard the Presidential transport. He would step down from the plane and greet the Mexicans whom had gathered along the route. "Greetings, my friends."

Mr. Hawkins would nod. "We see great potential for your nation to develop in conjunction with our own. Given we are both young nations in the Americas it stands to be seen where our aims may fall and given this it allows us both nice flexibility with regards to our foreign affairs. i think Vinsalia would be very pleased to become closer with your government and work in unison to promote our respective aims."
