Honoring Section 2 of Novus Ordo Seclorum, the combined forces of Oculus declare war on the New Polar Order in defense of the Dark Templar.

In the lead-up to the current global war, it was no secret that Polar's loyalties were divided. They held numerous treaties with both of the major power spheres, and they expressed conditional support for each sphere depending on the nature of the upcoming war. The member alliances of Oculus understood and respected Polar's right to hold those treaties and to pursue a unique foreign policy, and we worked before the war to understand their needs and listen to their concerns, the foremost of which was that they could not support the sphere that launched the first strike.

When FTW and NATO began the war, Polar's leadership admitted that they previously had been involved with earlier planning stages for it. However, they insisted that they had not been informed about or signed off on the war plans actually moving forward; they were furious that their friends in the enemy coalition had left them both hypocritical and out on a limb. Despite Polar's violations of Section 1 and Section 4 of our treaty, the member alliances of Oculus forgave these traitorous actions and agreed to welcome them back into the fold.

But, Polar remained a house divided. Those initial leaders were swiftly encouraged out of office, and new leaders took their place. These new leaders similarly affirmed Polar's commitment to Oculus, but they simultaneously restored their treaties with the enemy coalition and offered them peace. They took these actions without providing any warning to Oculus or other members of the coalition first.

Despite this, the member alliances of Oculus remained steadfast in their support and understanding of Polar. We understood that the war had put them in a bad position, and we wanted to give the new leaders time to study up. As the war unfolded, we continued to take great pains to consider Polar's needs. We ignored certain entrants and countered others in selective ways to allow as much of Polar's sphere of influence to remain as intact as possible.

Yet, the betrayals continued. A coup led to Polar's third government in less than a month, once again with no communication to their blocmates. And, once again, the member alliances of Oculus attempted to be kind, to understand the needs of Polar's membership and new leadership, and to move on.

We did so even as Polar violated Section 2 of our treaty and ignored the attacks on the Viridian Entente. We did so even as Polar deliberately remained silent as the coalition planned how to counter VE's attackers and DBDC volunteered to help. We did so even as Polar declared war on DBDC in support of VE's attackers, pretending as though their hands had been forced when, in truth, they had had every opportunity to intervene proactively.

We worked hard to be good allies to Polar; Polar did not reciprocate. Ultimately, it was a relief when they dropped the mask and left.

In return for our patience, understanding, and care, Polar has stabbed us in the back yet again. As a parting gift, they have launched a seemingly unrelated and entirely baseless war of aggression against their former ally.

Oculus has led the hegemony of this world for more than seven years because we do right by each other and our allies. It is evident that the New Polar Order has different values, and that they have mistaken our kindness for weakness.

Polar has decided to take up residence with a den of jackals, and in time, they will all undoubtedly eat each other. In the meantime, however, we will enjoy demolishing them.

May I ask who was ever poached by Caustic? I've clarified Brutus and myself reached out to him. We planned to rogue well before we made any commitment to any AA, Council was aware I was leaving at least a month prior. RR joined after he found out Brutus and I were roguing. His choice, CK wanted to rogue as well; but clarified he did not want to hit FTW or any IRON ally. I've had multiple people in my inbox stating they wanted to rogue too, because their tired of the stagnation of doing nothing. My response? Don't unless you don't care for your nation anymore, because we all seen this curbstomp coming. Why would I tell them not to if we were poaching? Hit me up in PMs for logs (I'm blocking names to protect them, but if you doubt this claim, let me know.)

Unless, of course, after resigning you hit an allied AA. Then you get IP banned from the community, have the only sanctions all war casted on you, and get some really nice talk about you on some closed chats, when you've spent literally hundreds of hours dedicated to an AA, and you decide to go out with something more than clicking delete.
Ironic I'm called the traitor for hitting an ally when Council was fully content sitting on their hands while FTW's lower tier got rolled. Hitting allies = IP ban worthy, ignoring their calls for help? They'll probably hand out high fives by dinner.
Please tell, what was CK's crime for an IP ban?

IRON is free to make their own decisions regarding how they treat ex-members. I make no argument to that, but to sit here and state they're free to leave, implying IRON wouldn't overreact like a teenage girl getting stood up on prom night is wrong.

You did in fact inform us that you were leaving to have your fun. That was your prerogative and we didn't care.. until you forced us to care. You were treated the way you were because of what you chose to do: rogue an IRON ally while wearing the IRON AA (accident or not), less than 24 hours after working to help bring peace to that ally in a conflict they were engaged in, and then ignore the request of the Council you were a part of to peace out of that war with that someone you were allied to 5 minutes prior. You could have had your fun, like so many have before you, without hitting an ally and you would have been remembered for what you did in IRON and not what you did on your way out of IRON.

"Dieu n'est pas content, nous avons des ennemis de la foi dans le Royaume"

For over a decade The Templar Knights have been combatants in many large wars. They have lost some Crusades and won others. Following their defeat in the Maroon War Crusade and receiving lenient terms, The Templar Knights sought not for peace, but instead the start of a new Crusade. They worked alongside other dissidents to exert their influence into additional alliances for the purpose of expanding their aspirations at the cost of their pawns. However, neither their plotting for a future Crusade against the Church of Oculus nor their dispatching agents to other alliances to intercede on their behalf have gone unnoticed.

In recognition of their heresy, The Holy Church of Oculus now orders the arrest of all Knights Templar and lays claim to their pixels for the Church. Other constituents may be subject to further penalties at a later date. Retaliation against any member of the Church will be considered as an attack on the entirety of the Church.

It's judgment time for the Templars...

This is a public service announcement from the Independent Republic of Orange Nations regarding Iron Deficiency Anemia.

Iron deficiency anemia is a serious matter. It is, of course, caused by a shortage of iron in one's body. Your bone marrow needs iron to make hemoglobin. Without it, your body cannot produce enough hemoglobin to make red blood cells.

We at IRON are seriously concerned for the well-being of all of those Legion nations who have been at war now for the last seven days. Seven days of war.. that is a lot of blood loss. And if your bodies cannot produce enough hemoglobin to create new blood cells, bad things could happen to you.

In order to help out the fine people in the Legion, the Independent Republic of Orange Nations activates the defense clause of our treaty with NATO and declares war on the Legion. We are bringing the IRON injections that your body needs.

You're probably right about this. Pretending that SPATR wants peace is disingenuous at this point. They've lost what they really valued, and are just ragequitting now.

Bingo. Such is their prerogative. Posting here to remind the world every 6 months that this is still ongoing to try and gain any sort of sympathy is hilarious though. Firstly, there is no sympathy to be gained when you rejected a simple admission of defeat; secondly, there isn't anyone who will give you sympathy when you've made it known that this is your swan song anyway.

  7. Friendly reminder for anyone who actually cares:

SPATR and company are at war still due to their own pride.

I'm sorry Murtibing, but simply having to admit your defeat is not a draconian term. You don't want to and that's your prerogative, but that means that the war continues because of you and not because of Oculus.

I guess we look forward to reading your post again next year. Cheers.
