1. Love the idea and hope it works out well for ye all. Heres to more protectorates like this one!
 2. Grats on the Stats, hey that rhymed. Anyways, good luck on the way to 500k o/ For Growth and Recruiting.
 3. I guess I could understand the sentiment of wanting to help those you consider your friends, but this isn't going to help NSO at all really. If you wanted to support your friends there are much better, simpler, and more acceptable ways of going about it. I find this to be misguided intent at best, pure stupidity at worst, since I don't really know you I will just leave it at that and not judge. 4. The fact that a satirical article, and a hilarious one at that, could start such useless bickering is all kinds of amusing to me. As always a wonderful read, and as always; lets all overreact over a simple joke.
 5. [ooc] Everyone except the OP seems to be forgetting that this is an IC forum, as he's the only one posting IC. For some reason this makes it all the more amusing to me.[/ooc] Good luck in acquiring peace for your nation Yuri Armstrong.
 6.
snip
LOL Logic; the study of reasoning. It's not present on CN, not in it's true sense anyways. Logic here is nothing more that one opinion painted as fact and why cant you see that logic, it's so obviously logical are you blind? I've given up on Logic in this place. That is all.
 7. How is aggressively attacking a member of a sovereign alliance without talking to the alliance first moot? ever? While NSO did make a mistake with the Aid; RoK made a mistake first by attacking an aligned nation. NSO has apologized for their mistake and are sticking to their guns and standing up for their members. Nothing but respect for them from me. Owning up to your mistakes and seeing them through. Take notes.
 8.
By that same logic NSO committed an act of war by accepting a rogue. Either way, the fault lies with NSO.
I think it's been confirmed now that this "rogue" was at war because of a failed spy attack, thus his attacks were justified. If you can prove to me that he began this aggressive trend beforehand than this falls short, but until you can the facts ring true. This is still a moot point when it comes to my argument. How NSO handles their accepting of members is an internal process and RoK has no say what so ever in this, NSO is a sovereign alliance is it not? They can accept who they wish. RoK being a soveriegn alliance also can view this however they wish too. If they wish to view it as an act of war that's on them. But trumping it up to things that occurred after the fact, ie: the Aid, is not going to fly here. By your own logic here RoK's true CB is a dispute in how NSO handles accepting members, ie: NSO accepted someone they consider to be a rogue, rogue status is opinionated and up to debate see. Thus RoK truly "DoWed" the moment the first attacks went out, if not on paper at least. Thus RoK is the aggressor in this. NSO is only defending it's member. NSO went on from this point to do the right thing. Rather than jump the gun and declare an all out war on an Alliance who had clearly just done the same to them; they instead approached RoK diplomatically. They were promptly met with ultimatums and little to no proof of claims. Now correct me if I am wrong here but is it usually acceptable to demand such ultimatums instead of trying to compromise and find a diplomatic solution? Seem a form of condescension to me, and could be viewed as a personal insult unto the sovereignty of NSO as an alliance. Putting even all of this aside, which can not be done lightly at all, RoK was still clearly aggressive in the matter. Aid was sent and instead of further contact an 'official' DOW was made, I say official because as stated above technically RoK had already attacked NSO. Do you know what the Aid was sent for? RoK was already in the wrong morally here for attacking first, you guys are the moral ones right? So to make such demands and dictate how a sovereign alliance can and cannot handle it's members and their wars is and should be considered 'morally wrong'. For all you know the Aid was sent so that the 'rogue' could pay reparations and end this 'conflict' swiftly. Putting all this conflict aside it boils down to this; RoK attacked NSO aggressively in a direct assault on the sovereignty of NSO as an alliance. While they may not have meant for this to occur this is the direct result of attacking NSO before making diplomatic connection to resolve the issue. Claim your CB be to be what you wish, and claim faults on whichever side you wish, the facts remain. RoK hit NSO first, without contact, and with malicious intent. o/ NSO for handling all this as smoothly as you did. Things could have been handled better on both sides in my honest opinion, but no one is perfect and you obviously did the best you could at the time. NSO has already fessed up and apologized to their wrong doing in this, which by the way was not the first, when is RoK going to do the same, that first wrong doing, yes; you know your malicious attack, and both sides try to settle this like adults? Note: I accept this will be looked over, ignored, or picked apart and spun to their advantage by most, I posted it anyways. Done.
 9.
You're missing the point. NSO entered in a state of war with Rok and TENE once that aid was sent. The only thing to negotiate from that point onwards was NSO's surrender.
Didn't RoK hit a NSO memeber first though? Before any Aid was sent or any talks were had? Seems the fault lies with RoK then, for not contacting NSO before launching said attacks. Oh logic, how you fail to be recognized by most. By this line of thought RoK had already started an aggressive war against NSO before any of these talks or Aid even occurred.
 10.
But kissing up to the government, running for a position in it, and getting as much intel as he can before running off to NPO and trying to spill it to their gov is most certainly one. If he left without deceiving us and trying to play us for fools I wouldn't have minded one bit, but he has certainly proven that he's the stuff NPO is made of.
I did what now? Those are some bold statements Olaf. To think I actually used to like you. For your information I've told NPO nothing about the little I did know of Sparta, it's not like I was privy to super secret information or anything. The only thing I have told them is that I didn't fit in, I tried to, and worked at it and for you, but I still didn't feel like I fit in. I also never ran for a government position, not gonna reveal Sparta's super secret info here, but I didn't know you could run for government there. I was 'nominated" for a position that has no power but is really fun I'll admit, and accepted it, it was part of me trying to fit in, it didn't work, so I backed out of the race. Good to know I'm suddenly selling these awesome secrets though, I wasn't informed of the fact yet. Whats the going rate on these secrets anyways Olaf? Am I getting the right price? You seem to know more about me selling them and such than I do here.
 11.
You'd know something about stabbing people in the back, wouldn't you.
Honestly? LOL; that's all I have to say to this. This isn't about me, or us, or whatever, so I'll keep it out of this thread, but to suggest this is ridiculous, and you know it. Sometimes people leave alliances, I thought I did so on good terms. Sigh. Enough of that though, leaving it out of this lol. From what I've read there were mistakes on both sides, but it also seems like someone was itching for war. This could have been settled in 5 minutes of chat, instead war was declared. I thought this type of "might makes right" politics is what you all fought to prevent from happening anymore with the Karma war? At least that's how it was explained to me, broken down to the basics. I wasn't around back then, so I can't say myself. But making the connection is obvious and makes it all the more ridiculous and humorous. I can always count on the OWF to deliver, there's no denying that. Ridiculous entertainment at it's best.
 12. It's not even the CB that's ridiculous here, it's how RoK pulled it off. NSO: "Hey Let's Talk" RoK: "Okay we can work this out, I need to get my boss though and we'll get you the logs and stuff in a bit. just wait." NSO: "Okay cool" NSO: *turns around* Rok: *calls allies and stabs NSO in the back while they aren't looking* Look! I can make ridiculous looking stories to. Honestly though, saying you're going to talk it over and send someone the evidence and then just out right attacking them as soon as they look the other way, while still waiting, is a plain and simple dirty move. There is 0 honor in it and this action alone nullifies any and all "right over wrong" you may have held in this. And then to get your allies involved in it to. Wow, I guess CN really is run by a bunch of kids huh?
 13.
Actually yea buddy its pretty great on both accounts, ask around. However, just because you can spout catch phrases that doesn't mean you know the back story behind their comments, or anything about us at all. Cry a river over it though if you must, doesn't matter to me that much. Anyway, personally I can force through enough conceptual severance to distinguish individuals from the rest of their AA in its final hour. To GUN, at one point in time you were Green and we were friendly, and I can sincerely say I wish you all good luck in finding new homes as well as offer my condolences on your long road coming to an end. As to our differences in more modern times, nothing need be said. Even Zenergy, because I'm a nice guy.
Edit for clarification: Remember; this is an IC forum! I know right? I find all the butt-hurt VE brought into this thread very amusing. For all your excuses and "we don't know the facts" you're still the ones who brought "personal matters" into a disbandment thread. How respectful of you. Classy indeed. If it's truly personal take it to PM, but of course you won't be getting attention that way will you? Nothing against VE as a whole; I just find these comments and actions disrespectful and just plain bad form. And I don't care what the "facts" are, such things aren't even in context of this conversation. Always sad to see an alliance disband, hope you all find new AA's and communities to call home.
 14. All things must come to an end, and this applies to Treaties to it seems. I can't say this is unexpected from where I am standing, I think all of CN saw this coming. Regardless though; good luck to both in the future, sometimes things just don't work out the way you planned them.
 15.
I get that message every time I try to vote on an poll on the CN forums. Even when I hit null vote, so I can't even see the results.
Still getting this problem, on every single poll on the forums, and I've yet to receive any information on contact about it.
 16. "no u" What? Isn't that basically the tune of this entire thread? Have some decency and let this die already, it's already degraded enough.
 17. This thread is still going? Wow, apparently no one gets it. Keep feeding, it's worked so far right?
 18.
Completely agreed, We should all disband and join NONE and then rise up and crush the infidels that do not bow down to the power of the Nothing.
Best Post in this thread yet. We'll do as you say, but then; None shall rise as one, with all of us as members, and crush every alliance you deemed "good enough" to stay. Fair trade?
 19.
Who decided that? Besides, raids are an useful incentive to get people active in this community.
Seriously? Raids are probably the reason half the people who start a nation in this game never stick around. That and the poorly designed AA system, why it couldn't be handled through invites, thus eliminating Ghosts, is well beyond me. Such thing must just be "too complicated." Maybe you guys are thinking to big right now though. Why not try to present your idea to the largest AAs on each color sphere, try to convince them to make a sort of junior AA. An entirely new AA unto it's own, but not sovereign, run by the government of the protecting AA, with little to no restrictions. One on each color sphere is a good place to start. Pm me if you want, I'd be happy to help however I can.
 20.
This isn't a protectorate. They have an MADP and this is just a public statement saying that even though most of SoL has defacto merged into MA that the remaining members on SoL's AA are not to be attacked.
My mistake. I probably should have read it a little better rather than skimmed it over.
 21. Grats on the Protectorate. Good luck and Have Fun.
