o.O a Zeke!
Hi!Oh wow I missed that one :O
-
I've known LoSS for a while, and she's has had her ups and downs. Here's to this being up. o/ LoSS
I was always fond of you guys. It's unfortunate what happened and my biggest regret is I have not been around in the last couple years to curb the poor decision(s) that have been made. o/ Synergy? :D
-
Best of luck too you LoSS.
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for you <3

Hi. LoSS still exists and never stopped existing.BIG BOLD FONT.Our website has not changed. Our government has though.New government:#1: Phoebus#2: JuniorEconomics: Sam WinterArmory: Co God BenRelations: Amossio*if I cared what SNX has to say after this post, I would not have used comic sans.

You obviously give Phoebus and Junior too little credit.
Little does he know we orchestrated this early in the year when there were mumblings of a merger. We intoxicated our members with not-so-koolaid, and pushed the merger vote through. Even Junior drank from the chalice. We had to make it seem absolutely legitimate, didn't we? But really, it was all thanks to our friends in NG. NG provided their special formula, and with one carefully placed orangutan at the polls, the alliance was ours. Now we have control of the full might of a twenty man alliance with a combined strength of 375,000. It all worked as planned. And what was our end game? That's the most devious part. We wanted to see Tywin cry. If only Planet Bob knew what will happen next. Watch out everyone, the LoSS illuminati may be coming after you.
it's okay, i was apparently not going to protect you out of friendship anyway!
Hogwash. Best friends forever!

hey cynic owns
We can no longer be friends

I think you misunderstood me. There is no one in SNX arguing that we didn't know, at least not my knowledge. What I was asking was, how a handful of members wanting to stay on the LoSS AA, had related to Sam Winter's opposition to having an SNX member stay on the LoSS AA to help people move over.
I definitely did misunderstand. I was a bit defensive given similar comments legion-x and tywin have made in this thread.
I believe the point was that at some point, SNX needed to realize LoSS was still a sovereign alliance which has its own private affairs. We have publicly "re-existed" since the beginning, so it should have been obvious we wished to regain control of our channels, alliance, and forums so that we can progress. Our only outlet was IRC and private messages, since SNX was occupying both our website and alliance. There's a lot of work that we need done, and it was difficult to do it otherwise. Create our new charter, contact our members on the situation and keep them fully updated, assign government members, and discuss protectorate/treaty options among ourselves. We simply wanted control of our alliance while you occupied our website. It was pretty innocent and blown out of proportion imo

Ahh, I'm sorry. I had no idea on Legion's AA managing status. I do know other people purposefully left on other AAs had managing abilities. What's your logic on mentioning that LoSS not going away was known from the start?
It was no secret. I personally gave my hesitations to madmike and other LoSS government when the merger was first discussed but seemingly fell through. Again, I told our government I will probably not merge when the merger became a reality. When Junior decided to stay and rebuild LoSS, it made my decision simple. It was pretty clear there was dissent in the old guard. It is ex-LoSS' fault for not communicating this properly to you. You also had administrator access on our forums, which included our LoSS government discussions in which there had been dissent.
Regardless, this was posted in the LoSSNX government forums by Legion-x some weeks ago: "Also heads up the same thing could be happening with loss. Junior might be restarting it." His use of might made had caused confusion when we gave Legion-x an absolute that we were to stay. An entire discussion of how we are "stubborn inactives" who are a "threat to SNX' sovereignty" and thus should not be protected followed that. It was quite a hot topic in LoSSNX. I doubt you missed it.
Your government absolutely should have known LoSS was here to stay.

A lot more misinformation I should probably clear up a bit.
More warning signs occurred when Phoebus wanted to force us to move forums, before this we were considering using the LoSS forums semi-permanently. Yet we continued to protect them.
The closest I came to forcing SNX was asking "when can we use our forums?" Yes, I was persistent in inquiring a date. I suppose my pictures of moobs may have been seen as forceful expulsion. I will gladly post all of the logs, forum screenshots, etc. if required. But let's just be adults and stop lying.
and then right after that LoSS demasked us on there forums without telling us( yes they had a right but a heads up would have been nice)
Astro, your website administrator and high ranking official, specifically told us we could.
Phoebus[LoSS] There have been offers and discussions
That was said after your highest ranked government member, Ty, told me the prior evening the only reason SNX is protecting us is because one member (you) wanted us to be protected. I didn't take his snark very well. And yes, others offered us protection and treaties naturally. The possibility of a permanent SNX protectorate was also part of our discussions.
As a side note: your government was actually very against protecting any of the alliances from the start, GDA included. It has been wrought with reluctance. MCXA has been very all or nothing in the matter of this merger. "If they're not with us, they're against us." Paranoia seems to be the game here.
by there own words there is evidence that this has been in the works for a while
Yes, we told SNX a month ago Junior and myself were restarting LoSS. It has not at all been a surprise LoSS was here to stay. You guys even discussed the fact that LoSS was not leaving in your own government boards about 3 weeks ago. How is this suddenly a surprise?
I contacted Phoebus privately before this announcement and there was a remarkable lack of concern on his part
I am unsure what concern you wished for me to show. I knew I have a lot of friends in Cybernations who would help LoSS when in need. I wasn't too concerned we would be raided. Protip: when the only reply someone gives you in a conversation is "okey dokey" and "thanks", they are probably being very sarcastic. I wasn't legitimately thanking you for dropping our protection. Christ. I wasn't going to beg for mercy. It was clear you were frothing at the mouth to cancel this protectorate.
Legion-x, as someone I used to consider a true LoSSer, this matter has been a very big disappointment and reveals a side of you I never expected. Tywin, no one expected better out of you. Why SNX hasn't put a gag order on both of you is beyond me.

did anyone else catch this gem...the guy voted for the member to basically coup the alliance?
then you complain about not being given more notice for your coup to go in effect with further protection?
Everyone caught it. Everyone realized it was tongue-in-cheek.

Extremely appreciated from NG (and all.) A lot of class being shown.

Considering other actions were taken yesterday and today by LoSS remnants without proper notification time, we feel that our response in kind was justified.
It was a misstep made by one member and was since resolved. If one round of raids hurt him THAT much, we could have (and would have gladly) financially compensated him. Your government member was removed from our AA not under the assumption that he would be attacked. Merger or not, LoSS is not SNX and it's not particularly kosher to have your government in our private discussions. Junior found it fit to remove Legion-x from the AA. We had inquired, on more than one occasion, why he remained on our AA. I do not personally agree that Junior did that, but I guess LoSS must collectively suffer, right?
You are reacting to a small mistake with quite a petty and malicious move. I am surprised the ex-LoSS members signed off on this. LoSS had no ill will toward SNX, since the majority of our friends reside there, not to mention allies. Anyways, I am out of this conversation. That's all I required to know.
-
Sheesh. I am suddenly not sure why I was cooperative allowing SNX to use my/LoSS' website for an entire month. A notice would have been great to give us our preparation time, since, you know, LoSS gave you an entire month to prepare your alliance at my/LoSS' own expense.
I'd be curious to know why the sudden revocation.
o/ LoSS anyways

Hey guys. I've just been super busy. The project is not abandoned. It has been down due to LoSS' migration to my new server. I've been slowly restoring things. I've updated the treaty web to allow deletion of treaties. Use the search feature to find the treaty, and a delete button pops up as you mouseover. It has been closed to registered members on the LoSS forums. I think. I honestly haven't tested the permissions, but it should work.
-
Yeah, you might be right. But I'm thinking about a way to sort specific alliances, like you could select an alliance and it would show you only that alliance's treaties.
When you hover over an alliance, it's pretty obvious. It'll probably eventually show a list of their treaties on hover, too. Do you have something else in mind?
-
Hmm... I think that before adding more treaties(ToAs, PIATs, NAPs, etc.) we need to be able to sort the alliances somehow. Otherwise it would just be even more incoherent and confusing.
The filters solve this, no? But ToA, NAP and PIAT option will never be on this. They are far too insignificant. The purpose is to explore treaty chaining.

:psyduck: are you trying to cause color-blindness? :(
jk. interesting site. were you aware that on some settings, most notably when those of the mutual defense options are on, the site gives off slight bopping sounds? like those a cursor gives off when it's held on one side too long? i had to turn my speakers up to find out what it was :P at, least, it does on my computer. :frantic: it is a lot easier to read than the 3-d images i've seen.
Browser/OS?
-
This is fantastic, but is there a color code somewhere for the treaty lines?
There is no color code yet. It'll eventually have the option to choose your own color, which will also display the current color.

Support as in support. All ideas are welcomed and will be considered.
-
Upon further review, this really needs a way to put in temporary hypothetically ties and watch the balls bounce without messing with the real data.
It could be possible if enough people support this.
-
When entering a new treaty, what does Treaty Link mean?
What Wes said. It's not required to enter the treaty link, but in the future we may provide a searchable treaty database, so links could be nice.

If people are on their AA, they are still "here."

Set Alliance rank to 1-1 and watch GPA go buck wild upon your screen.
I cannot figure that error out but it is fun. :D There are no errors in the debugger. It just goes nuts.
