Rebel Virginia, the master of very fine words, raconteur extrordinare, the one who regales all who will listen to his tales of military prowess has decided that Peace Mode is the best option for him, having in the space of seven short days fallen from a pre war NS of 114.6k to 71.6k.
I can't wait to hear how he spins this as some glorious personal victory on the field of battle.
To answer your earlier question Sabcat, who is winning and who is losing?
In terms of raw NS; NSO have lost more than The Legion, but it is likely to even up in due course.
The NSO top tier will have an advantage of huge warchests and wonders as they are knocked down into our 15-35k tier, which is when things will get interesting.
I speak personally and not on behalf of the alliance although I know that there are other individuals who feel the same - I would like to thank NSO for the DOW.
It has made things a little interesting within the alliance and is giving us some entertainment.
There is no love lost between Legion and NSO - but many of their leaders of nations have been on planet bob for many years so we have a shared interest in the past and if they have decided as an alliance that The Legion will be their final swan song then that is something for us to take some pride in and I personally wish them well for their future on Bob should they chose another alliance, even though I do not wish them well on the field of battle. I intend to give them what they seek and would encourage RV to engage on the field of battle once more for glory awaits.
In the year 2017 if I spent this long writing a post on the OWF I would probably want to kill myself more than I do on an average day. bless

I'm so happy my alliance is throwing itself on the train tracks.

Lots of people admired Vladimir more because he pandered to the lowest common denominator. I always just told it how it was. He chose the cowards way and supported a sociopath in order to save his own neck. Water under the bridge. That's just how it goes sometimes.

If past experience is anything to go by, Invicta will probably join in about a month before Legion defends itself.
Sorry to see you go out this way, Ivan. You were the best Emperor the NSO had, if you'd stuck around it probably would have been a better alliance.
Also, hi Cairna. I suddenly feel like hitting Porojussi for some reason.
That Finnish sociopath is going to nuke me. You're welcome to do so.

So Kashmir got the crap kicked out of it too hard and needs help. I guess that's what terrible mini alliances do these days. Even though I like NSO a lot I can't wish you good luck. I wanted Kashmir to burn more.
Have you seen their AA? There's not a lot left to burn

Throwback to the days when Polar eagerly let the wolves destroy their smaller allies while still trying to avoid the BLEU curbstomp.

It's good to know we don't even need to do anything to feed the haters up in here. Keep it coming, homeboys

We had to establish ourselves as as sovereign entity that others will come to respect. To fear. To value.
Ever plan on getting around to that, or what?

Seems this is slowing down quite a bit. seems hardly a war.
You're in the wrong alliance if you actually want a fight

I took this as a noble cause to help out an alliance I genuinely care for. I'm not interested in taking anything from Echelon and don't wish to waste Tela's time. I gave up caring for my pixels long ago or I wouldn't constantly be at war. Tell me fear insightful Cairna, what do you fear I will steal? What did I take from NSO except for getting it into this war (totally on accident, and a few of you even knew what "I did beforehand" when I was there and still accepted me).
Never mind I was hoping this would sound better. Anyways I plan on helping out here as much as I can. Even if that means from outside the AA.
Side note: IPads are hell and autocorrect isn't helpful it's hurtful. You didn't take anything, I'm just saying you're a waste of time.
Nobody at the NSO cares about you leaking anything - you were just an overall drain on our culture. We care deeply for the quality of our boards.

Franz & Penlugue, in regard to Rotavele's recent war history, I was fully aware of it when I accepted the membership. However, I was anticipating issues with it, as well. While I'd obviously like to help Rota out as much as I can, I can't really place my alliance in front of the bus at the moment. It's already being chewed on by a tiger. :)
Either way, I think Rota is a grown up and can take care of any peace/war negotiations that may arise, and if not, I will offer any assistance I can spare.
To clarify, Echelon is at war with STA. Rotavele is at war with whoever Rotavele is at war with. I know that's a rather odd stance to take, but when an old friend applies to your 11 nation alliance and makes it 12, it's unpossible to deny them. ;)
Edit: Also, hello to those that said hello! (Except Jerdge. Neutrality is bad, mm'kay)
As some advice to an old enemy, you really shouldn't waste your precious activity on the likes of Rota.

May as well give it a try

The fact that MCRABT is here posting against IRON's behavior should be enough proof of how badly you've shit the bed.
I don't imagine this thread will do much good, since the general membership probably doesn't actually care, but it is a shame to see such grievious violations of a treaty being supported by so many. Even Unknown Smurf can see the problem ffs.

Protection for PoW camps has always been a sort of unspoken gentleman's agreement in CN, so it's only fitting that Kaskus doesn't get to benefit from ti since you refuse to play by all the other rules

The difference between the original source material and our situation is that the Lannisters and Baratheons are on the same side, just as when I secured Robert Baratheon's place on the throne so many years ago. It was only a matter of editing the material to present this new reality.
Right except for the part where you show up and start killing them.

A few things I'd like to clarify though we're getting perilously off topic.
IAA was dead before that last war. The outside world didn't know it. But most of us did. It was a hollow shell incapable of much. A leadership change was needed to finally put it to sleep. You're probably familiar with the internals and why our involvement was a bluff that never should've been called. If not I can discuss it with you privately. I won't say there weren't elements that annoyed the hell out of me that were cowardly, overly pedantic, or even overtly supported Legion. But almost none of those folks are in MI6. And that is a good thing.
Second I like NSO. They fought well in that war. I am sure they are fighting well in this war. They have a good war culture. And hopefully we can get some of that in MI6. I am sad in the months I was away from things that the relationship between the two alliances got so bad. On the other hand this world does need drama to help it stay exciting. So in that regard it is not that bad of a thing.
Third. While of course there are frustrations and occasional point of venting compared to the last half dozen wars or so I have been in there is actually at least internally very little drama. The complaint level is low and people are on the whole pleased with the war and enjoying their various fights. That is always subject to change as a few weeks pass.
As much as I appreciate Chimaera's antagonism, he's just not that proficient as a bad guy.

Bring out more history. I'm getting enough nostalgia to almost make me feel my legs. Or what might be my legs. I don't know. Haven't moved in a while.
