  1. Good luck with compliance and removing those who have not complied by the deadline. I'm sure it's already been offered, but if not, offering to assist our Polar brethren in forcefully removing them if they are not in compliance might be warranted. I certainly hope the NADC can get back on track and rid yourself of what might be nothing more than inactive members and dead weight, lest they bring you down with them.

    o/ NADC

    o/ NpO

  2. It is always important for any alliance to have allies no matter what their size is. It just seemed odd that so many others that have no "attachment" to Vigilance would be poking in.

I feel it appropriate to note that treaties are not a requirement of friendship and willingness to take interest when friends are unjustly attacked. Peppermint Pig is a honorable former member of the FCC, thus our friendship and involvement. Vigilance had forged diplomatic friendships with PUKE. While PUKE and Vigilance did not have a treaty partnership, some alliances specifically avoid treaties, as they are not to their liking. While this is not Vigilance's position, some of our other former members had formed alliances with such rules.

As the result of the actions of Legig and others directly involved, Vigilance, Puke and the FCC have discussed formalizing their friendship.

  3. I was sanctioned and nuked by their .gov, I think that qualifies.

Was said action sanctioned by their alliance to do so with full authorization of their entire government, it would appear not. The actions are those of an individual or group of individuals acting together without the approval of their alliance. I would have pegged you as anything but a collectivist.

  4. You can't say the gov isn't responsible for what your MoFA did. Your MoFA = gov. The apology falls short only because you're denying full responsibility for what happened. I'm not saying you should say that it's all your fault, or even most of BAPS. Just that BAPS as a group has to bear full responsibility for the actions of their government official. Unless you fully accept that, there probably isn't any basis for alliance peace terms.

I never thought the GPA was entirely responsible for everything you said......

  5. Good luck in finding a resolution to this issue, hope that all involved can come to a peaceful resolution. The rogue actions of one or a small group of members of an alliance should not sentence the whole to destruction, unless that small group encompasses all of the government of said alliance. I would have been rather surprised had the NpO chose to destroy the FCC for the one rogue that came from our ranks to attack them in GW3.

  6. Maine, we're trying to keep out of this thread. :D

Though you're quite correct that our members and me specifically spoke out quite a lot against FAN's actions from the end of 2006 till spring 2007. I know Guns & Cockpits wasn't too happy about that sometimes. Good friends should feel comfortable telling each other when they think the other is making a bad decision, no matter where such comments are aired. The FCC has remained principled enough not to sign treaties placing prohibitions on speaking out regarding the actions of friends and allies in public areas; we're confident that the roots of our friendships run deeper than any words of disagreement in any public forum.

Now I would hope this is the next to last comment from any Confederation member.

  7. Oh hey, I see that you have SDI; gl trying that out I guess.

Don't even know really who you are, besides the whole being instrumental in changing the game mechanics with Diskord. <_<

With over 1M casualties I'm pretty sure you'll put up your share of a good fight.

Don't think you'd really be allowed back if you want to come back however. :jihad:

  8. Wholly off-topic but to entirely clear some things up.

We have no treaties with the New Pacific Order, we do have a SISTER treaty and Optional Defensive Pact with the New Polar Order. The FCC has no established embassy on the New Pacific Order forums, one of our diplomats, our Secretary of Defense, is currently awaiting one. The New Pacific Order has an embassy established on our forums, established in January of 2007, the diplomat assignments appear to have gone in the progression of Fuzzy, King John, Noob Operator and recently m0n3yMan.

The problem, if there is any, between our two alliances is caused by that fact that we do not prevent our nations or members from speaking their minds, we do however caution them from commenting on situations related to inter-alliance relations not involving the FCC, considering how dissent with the opinion of the powers that be in the Cyberverse tends to be met. I would have personally just read this without commenting. However, the fact that FAN was a former SISTER signatory, some feelings of friendship still exist towards FAN. Furthermore, FAN was one of our first real friends, Molon Labe being second having formed of a splinter faction of FAN a month or two after FANs entrance.

We don't take treaty signing lightly, certainly it's obvious that such feelings of brotherhood exist long after the treaties are dissolved. While we did not enter UjP war with NpO, we did provide aid after the fact. I for one would have loved to have stood by our SISTERs, but I could not make military decisions at that time until war was declared, having been the Sec. Def.

    Back on topic:

TORN will likely get quite a bit of tech and monies that should pay for any damage done. If nothing else this allows your members to gain experience and war organizational skills. While I do not specifically know FANs goals with this attack, FAN knows what it is doing, they've never been stupid when waging war, perhaps when going to war they could have been smarter and in other areas like diplomacy; I'm sure they already know that though.
