Don't really know you, but if you re-roll I hope you keep the Bela Lugosi avatar/sig. The eyes from Dracula are just classic.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Happy Birthday LSF, just wish Comrade Yev or Palachinov were still around.

I'm going to again hail this treaty, because it IS a step forward. And progress is the most important thing, no matter how small or large it may be.
o/ UJA
o/ Green
you may call it a piece of paper with a convenient out if you wish.
But I hope your words are sweet, cause if someone attacks one of our allies, you'll be eating them.
We will back our allies against Anyone. Call that rhetoric if you will, but those who know us, know it as fact.
This treaty is most certainly a step forward; while we're so rooted in idealism we likely cannot be wholly happy with anything other than an entirely free Green team. The GUT is an acceptable alternative to the previous situation and is hopefully a transitional step toward a more noble goal at some later time. We're probably one of the few, other than perhaps OBR, predominantly idealistic alliances still left on planet Bob, or at least we'd like to think so.
Added to it this, and off topic, I think the only reason we stayed wholly out of the UjP was because we thought we'd be better at sending out rebuilding aid to our friends at Polaris rather than raining nukes down upon the upper tiers of the Unjust Path; though any chance we had at joining in was cut off rather quickly with the crumbling of their group's cohesion, as our assistance wasn't really needed with \m/ and GOONS fractured and isolated. I was rather sad we only sent out ~120 Million, I wanted quadruple that, though Polaris had few slots left to fill and wanted to be ready to receive their shipments of reparations aid from others.

Seriously saw this coming awhile ago, though I would have thought IAA was going to go down before the brown punching bag got hit again; it seems however IAA was icing on the cake with this one. GATO need not be going through this again, after the numerous times CK has been brought up in DoWs or CBs it's clearly obvious the best course of action is disbanding GATO and scattering to the four winds. GATO will never be allowed to regain a foothold, not after they have so clearly lost it, so the best option is to just die.
Just disband/die and get on with forging a new future, not one littered with the baggage of a past which will never be let go.

I am sure defence has a C
Welcome to the Citadel!!
OOC: Defense (U.S. spelling) or defence (worldwide; see -ce/-se) may refer to:

IC: When we do see the day of 10k nukes if at our present numbers we'll have reached over a 20 nuke per nation average.

Wait, did I just read this? Took long enough. Do I smell irony!?
Hey now, I and many wish you guys were here with us too. But BLEU is made more with our Brigade Sisters along with our NpO and MCXA Sisters. It's like a three way SISTER fest there at BLEU.

Can't say that I agree with requiring the demolishing of any wonder, ever.
But this is a merciful peace for those seeking a way out, and a rosy ticket of death for those who have nuked.
o/ NpO.

Gratz to our SISTERS in ODN!

ODN, the greatest alliance ever to step foot in orange.
I don't know our allies in TOP might have something to say about that. But then our Sisters in ODN helping out Sisters in the NpO is just ripe for all kinds of innuendo.
Edit: OOC: Left out some hail.

This is the first time I've seen that without Pepper, although a finer group of folks couldn't be found elsewhere.
Well most of them could have all been found in the FCC at one time or another.
o/ Hostile takeovers.
Also gratz guys.

If I had an abundance of liberal legions at my command that might have turned out differently.
Well now, if the rumors were at all accurate you do have an abundance of Liberal Legions. Also u 2.

Certainly glad we at the FCC have never been attacked for our Boiler room antics.

Good for you. If it's one thing the AIDS crisis brought us in the mid 80s, and the resulting massive investment in molecular biology, is higher standards for screening blood donors for viruses.
Hep C being transfered via tainted blood is relatively rare now compared to the early 80s, that being said it's still a massive pain in the rear.
Also as to:
For now, though....back to drinking. Need to give the liver a workout, since it's been a while.Wait the six months man.

A CN Nazi is anyone, or any group of people, who are either decreed to be Nazis by people in game who have the force to back up their assertions, with or without production of any tangible evidence. Rarely will you have a group of individuals or singular players who openly admit to being Neo-Nazi or Nazi. It simply does not matter in this game if someone is or is not an IRL Nazi, depending upon who says you're a Nazi, public opinion judges whether you are or are not.

OOC: I about had a heart attack when I saw this on the forum overview.
IC: Since I haven't commented here yet. Vanguard!

I thought that this thread would concern FAN. Guess not.
It's certainly a sign of the times. o/ Yellow.

I was FCC Secretary of Development and watching the events leading up to GW3/The War of Retribution.

Shortest war ever? It certainly was a hard won victory?

This can only end well for Derka-Jihad.......oh wait, no it can't.

What if I'm not sentient, but merely sapient?

I thought Defcon cycling was common practice? As with the cycling of improvements/governments, etc. But I like how TPF rolls. Death to alternate/useless other Defcons.

Hail Brigade and our Polar Sisters.
OOC: So saving that Arthas pic.

See now, Terry Howard and the Illuminati would have done well for themselves to have accepted our counter offer, that they dissolve and merge with us.
Good luck Super Friends! Down with annoying 'Would you like to merge plox.' requests.
An Ultimatum from the Viridian Entente
in Alliance Politics
Posted
In regards to your first point: Many alliances or individual nations within alliances hold nations and rulers they especially despise on their list of people they'd hit and ZI if they were to ever be unaligned. The simple fact some in Brigade would hold such a special place for C4R in their hearts must mean he was in such a position as soon as he switched AA's to none. The notion C4R was not aware of some rulers holding this opinion of him belies he either wasn't aware of the potential hostilities, which his statements here seem to contradict. Or, C4R just messed up for a while and had his AA at none, which seems more like a slight and casual error except when put to light with what happened after he was hit. Which leads me to my next comments.
In regards to your 1st and 2nd edits: If one is under the protection of the Viridian Entente upon leaving the alliance, why do they change their AA to 'None' rather than the current 'Protected by VE'? Second, if you're going to be protecting someone using the AA of 'None' why is there not an announcement or a posting anywhere in the Cyberverse before this ultimatum referring towards Cheif4Real as a protectorate of VE? It would seem such an announcement would preclude all this wringing and posturing seen presently.
The situation being painted here is one where by Cheif left VE and switched his AA to none. Then someone in Brigade found out about it, and started slamming him with spy attacks, of which you can only have two anyhow, and threatening messages. Then it would seem Chief probably noticed it was a bad idea to have his AA at none and then started flipping nation description to something more appropriate. It is understandable an alliance or a nation would be rather prone to make an error in attacking a nation shortly after they switched AA's, for if they switched to None they certainly would be open game not just for Brigade but every other alliance who tech raids. Hence, this situation leads to the interpretation the second spying attack occurred before Brigade or the nations involved realized the switch in AA's. As such it would appear there is little to really take issue with here, other than some slight trigger control issues and making sure to check your target before you hit the red button; at least from the meager smatterings of the disconnected time-line already given. When you're given a target whom you're eager to hit, and he starts switching AA's on you after you've committed to attacking him, perhaps you didn't even have a chance to see it before sending in your spies, and those attacking are almost assuredly going to be sending taunting messages to such a nation.
However, on the comments I wish Brigade and VE well in their discussions upon this issue and hope it arrives at a honest and peaceful resolution. It's never good to see former brothers in arms fighting with each other.
