Being elitist about who's allowed to edit is not the way to go about it. If you can spread awareness and interest to get more people helping keep things up to date, that would be good. Happy to help (my talk page on the wiki, or Bobogoobo#9673 on Discord) if anyone needs assistance with editing, but the best way to learn is to jump in. There are plenty of resources for how to edit on Fandom and MediaWiki in general. If mistakes are made, we can fix it and educate for next time. As long as you're editing in good faith, all contributions are welcome.

Could you put up the full statistics somewhere (Paste bin [that's censored? o_O], Google Spreadsheet, whatever) so that I (and anyone else interested) can sort it to find my overall rank for each category? I went crazy on the stuff you posted before I realized that people not in those rankings could still have higher values in one category.

I think it would be cool if we could get a chart on the [url=http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Technology]wiki page[/url] about technology for what range of technology each image is shown (on the Purchase Technology screen). All of the images are already uploaded and I set up a table, but commented it out for now. Does anyone know if this information is already out there somewhere? Otherwise, I think it would be a fun project to collect data and figure out as a community. Judging from checking the image names/urls, the 18th image (technologyr.jpg, gallery can be seen [url=http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Game_Tech_Images]here[/url]) is the last one, and I currently have that at 9200.34 technology owned. So unless someone already knows all the ranges for the images, I think the best way to find them out would be some kind of voluntary stat collection. So anyone willing, please post your current technology level (including the decimal part for accuracy) and the letter of the image you have (view image info, url will end with technology_.jpg, fill in the blank). Actually this is a good thing, Wikia doing something right for once . Would be nice if they kept their "heavy modifications" off when they update but that's not going to happen . I don't feel like reading through all the change logs but just from that selection, there are a few cool things. Most won't affect us because they're either back-end or have been worked around for a very long time, but I like not being able to mark new pages as minor, that's pretty silly to do. And the main thing is I love the category sorting fixes, I've been waiting for those for a long time. Separate pages for each type of member, lowercase and uppercase being together, all that stuff, awesome. So as long as they don't break stuff, this should be very good. Also, I added "Discussion" to the thread title . Edit: nvm, can't :/

flak attack: thanks for the suggestion, good idea. Looks like Rogal took care of it. Soviet Canuckistan: still, without anyone to block vandals, someone could just go on a rampage and people would have to try to keep up and revert all the edits. They could miss some or the edits could be sneaky, and then the wiki would [i]really[/i] be unreliable. And yeah as Rogal said, pages are deleted when they have no value at all to add to the wiki or are duplicates, things like that. The pages I was talking about protecting are ones that are used on thousands of pages, which are prime targets for vandalism, because anything done there will go to all those pages. Still, most of those are only protected from anonymous users; any that are restricted to sysop only would pretty much never be edited by a user with regular privileges anyway, and we can always edit them at request too. And as Rogal said, pages can be protected temporarily when there is edit warring, persistent vandalism, etc. Sigrun: are you talking about something like the [url=http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/CN:STYLE]Manual of Style[/url]? This also inherits Wikipedia's policies, but that whole thing is mostly useful for looking up parts when you're unsure of how to format or write something correctly. And we also have the [url=http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/CN:VANDAL]vandalism policy[/url]. CSM: insulting the wiki staff or active contributors while asking to be unbanned really isn't very helpful to your case.
