I wish there was a way to get players to leave others the heck alone- like sure roll me if I do something necessarily bad to you- but don't stick your nose into my business if it does not directly concern you- We have too many United States' in CNRP who think they're the world's policemen (speaking metaphorically)
But, but, its fun pushing other people around! :awesome:

  2. And what about players that consistently delay, delay, delay, in hopes of avoiding a steamroll? I'd admit, I did the same thing when I wasn't sure how to get out of a hole that I dug myself into, and I strongly regretted it.

Although I agree that steamrolling someone without an OOC warning is impolite, the proposed rule would be open to abuses,

  3. Somewhere in the southern part of Lake Huron, next to Canadian soil:

Seeing that help wasn't coming anytime soon and that the most likely unfriendly police boat continued to gain on me, I decided to swim. I wish I learned how to swim, I only know how to stay afloat.

Sharp pains in my lower back, few bullets from the helicopter. At least it wasn't the sniper. I looked behind me and saw the water starting to turn red. Since I'm bleeding, I suppose I'll play dead. Hopefully they don't shoot me again to ensure that I'm dead for good.

In the President House, 4:00 PM:

You will be dismissed from your job effectively at 6:00 PM. I thank you for your dedication to your country.

    Presient Cornwell
"Taking out Natas's garbage..." President Cornwell muttered to himself as he clicked the email's button, "Send". Another email appeared in his inbox, and he opened it.
From: Ted Mike, Director of Federal Police Agency
    To: President Cornwell

I have been able to get the various local and state police departments to cease investigating the missing legislators. However, their family members and their friends are beginning to contact the media, including the Midwest Republic News, and they will generate considerable amount of noise. I have no authorization to mess with them, but you know who to contact.

    Director Ted Mike
President Cornwell slowly read the email before dialing a number in his cellphone. He was going to call every single local major corporations' board of directors and CEOs, they had the money and connections to silence the media.

And such person with balls doesn't understand that war is expensive. Not just the financial cost, but also the human cost, which is why we prefer to avoid it if possible. There's a reason why I announced neutrality, and I'm not going to let some numbskull in my administration break it.

    Midwest Republic Foreign Secretary

    Few hours later...

    Midwest Republic News:

President Cornwell has fired Foreign Secretary Ralph Paul for "Inappropriate foreign conduct" and "Endangering the country by getting it involved in a situation that Midwest Republic doesn't belong in."

  6. The helicopter continue to buzz overhead, shredding the boat and sending pieces of it flying with its sheer firepower. I had to think quick, if the police boat reaches me, they could simply do a sail-by-shooting. The beach is about half a mile away from me and it had no cover against the helicopter. I reach into my pocket, pull out my cellphone and dial 911, good thing I didn't "upgrade" from my old flip-phone to one of the non-waterproof smartphones.

    "911, what's your emergency?"

"There's a Midwestern police helicopter gunship pumping bullets into my boat and an armed boat sailing towards me. I'm in the water and I can't avoid their bullets for long. I need help."

    "Okay, what's your location?"

"Um, I don't know, but I do know that I'm not in Midwest Republic's water. I can see a beach with some houses next to it. Let me check my phone's GPS..."

Suddenly, the half of the phone disappeared in a shower of plastic, glass and metal shards. Two seconds later, a large bullet hole appeared in the side of the boat, about a few inches above his head.

Sniper, with a high caliber rifle. Because a gunship and a large boat aren't enough. Wow, I'm really popular.

  7. Midwest Republic will be officially neutral.

    -President Cornwell

    -----------------
    Private:

Although the government had no interest in the war, this was not the case for the businesses though. MES Corporation (Munition and Equipment Service) would send a classified message to both sides of the conflict, advertising that they are open to selling military supplies ranging from bullets to field medicine.

  9. The next day, somewhere in the southern part of Michigan, somewhat close to the shoreline:

I never knew what it was like sleeping overnight in a vehicle. I haven't eaten or drank anything for about a day, and the truck is nearly out of gas. I'm very thankful for the two assassins because they had two 5 gallon containers of gas in a metal box stored in the cargo hold, thus allowing me to temporarily skip a gas station; I'd wish they thought of keeping some water or snacks in the truck as well.

I started up the engine, and heard nothing. I repeatedly turned the key, still no response. I then stepped outside into the cornfield and popped open the hold, nothing wrong I can see. I suppose the ignition or more likely, the battery is dead. Well, the next town can't be that far away, it's only about 20 miles from here.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
At Lexington, located next to the southern part of Lake Huron:

I entered a somewhat rundown diner and fished around in my pocket. No wallet. Well, so much for finding something eat or drink. Then I hear sirens, police sirens. I bolted across the street and towards the marina as two police cars closed onto me. I also noticed a black SUV and a white Prius also make their move, apparently the FPA (Federal Police Agency) somehow managed to find me and decided to observe me, only to get one-upped by the local police.

I saw a woman exiting a still-running motorboat while arguing with another woman. I jumped into the boat and slammed on what appeared to be an accelerator. The woman yelled and gave a short chase after me as I took off with the boat. About 30 minutes after hijacking the boat, I already entered Canada's waters based on the onboard GPS when I noticed a helicopter closing onto me from a long distance.

Confusion flooded my mind. Were they so desperate to arrest me that they completely ignored the fact that they entered an area where they have no jurisdiction? As the helicopter came much closer, I noticed it wasn't an ordinary police helicopter. It was a stripped down UH-60 Black Hawk painted with "Federal Police Agency" in small letters on the side and armed with four machine guns, with ammunition belts extending from the machine guns to the body of the helicopter. I also noticed a police boat closing onto me farther away, and that I was coming closer to a beach with houses next to it. Then, without warning, the helicopter open fired. I zig-zag to avoid the hail of bullets and some of them came dangerously close to hitting me. As soon as the engine was shredded and the boat slowed down, I immediately dove into the water.

I slowly realized that they didn't want to handcuff me, they wanted me dead at all cost.

  10. I say that all copycats deserve a 25.1 day in the penalty box, with no contact with IC. Inactivity rule should not be rewritten to accommodate the penalty.

Starts searching for any of my years old posts that might've been copied off of other people before someone else finds my posts first...

  11. I kept driving until I was reasonably far away from my home. I decided to go to the police station to file a report, but first, I wanted to check the news. I pulled into Best Buy's parking lot, exited the pickup truck and entered the store. I headed straight for the TV section and switched channels until I found the Midwest Republic News. How convenient that they allow customers to switch between channels.

"Former President Natas is suspected for the 1st degree murder of two people at his home, carjacking, accepting kickbacks and other bribes, and giving bribes. If anyone seen this man, please immediately dial 911..."

"Well, !@#$." I thought to myself. Obviously if I went to the police, they would handcuff me. What to do? The first thing I needed to do is get out of public's view. As I exited the store, I noticed three, no, SIX police cars with their lights flashing speeding down the avenue. "Stay calm, and carry on." I told myself as I walked toward my pickup truck. The police cars pulled in just as I was about to exit the parking lot, and one of the police cars stopped and an officer stepped out.

Roadside check. This isn't going to be a good day. The officer immediately recognized me and ordered me to open the window. Unexpectedly, he told me, "Get the hell out of this country now. If you thought getting impeached was bad enough, then you're in for a surprise. Get going, and pretend that you never came here."

I obeyed and drove as far away from Chicago as possible. They probably blocked off all of the airports, train stations, and the highway border stations. Where should I go?

  12. Midwest Republic News:

The Legislative has voted to shutdown the Environmental Regulation Agency by 176 to 0, 24 were absent from the voting. The 5 year old Clean Atmosphere and Water Act and the Responsible Toxic Disposal Act were also overturned with overwhelming majority.

The Environmental Foundation, a group that's known for being heavily funded by many anti-environmentalist companies and people, praised the overturning of the environmental regulations. They claimed that the Midwest Republic's economy will greatly benefit now that the "ridiculous" counter-productive laws were repealed.

The Legislative has also overturned many other laws, such as the Responsible Banking and Trading Act, Responsible Financial Reporting Act, and Rational Political Funding Act. During its repealing spree, it passed the Military Upgrade Act, which quadrupled the military's annual funding.

Except Evangeline has a point. The History of CN through 2007 is but two years...and you want it all in one article? You seriously think it's gonna happen? It really would be like trying to document the history of the entire Earth, except in a (only slightly) smaller scale.
And even if someone tried to document everything, it would get tangled in red tape because at least one CNRPer would cry foul and accuse the document of being biased.

  15. It did not take long for her partner to come upon the storage room's door, nor did it take long for the person to kick down a drywall panel instead of the door. I'll keep this poor construction job in mind whenever I meet the general contractor, assuming if the person who broke down the wall wasn't trying to kill me.

I wasn't expecting the assassin to take a different route, but I managed to clobber the person's head with the box and threw it down over the head, then gave the person a hard kick. As he swore, he stumbled to the ground and reached to pull off the box while getting back up, I slipped past him, ran up the stairs and waited by the upstairs basement door. He immediately chased after me and I could clearly hear the hard stomps up the stairs. Just as He was about to enter the first floor, I slammed the door into his face. I didn't stick around to hear the assassin tumble down the stairs and hit the cement floor and wall, but I did hear a burst of gunfire and the loudest swearing I've ever heard. He must've shot himself while falling down the stairs, I wonder if he can get help in time considering the fact that there's a signal jammer next to my house.

I ran outside and to my car, unlocking the door. As I got in, I was about to stick the key into the ignition when something popped in my head. What if they rigged my car to blow up in my face? I stepped out and took a quick look underneath the car, finding a loop of fresh black wire somewhat dangling from a small box I've never seen before.

Noticing that there was a nearby green pickup truck with the engine running, I ran over there and peered through the window. A very young boy on a tricycle was riding around on his lawn and I asked, "Did you see anyone leave this truck?". The boy slowly responded, "I saw two person walk. They has gun." Obviously his English wasn't perfect, but it was enough.

I then opened the truck's door, shifted gears to "Drive" and stepped on the accelerator. I just committed my first major crimes, two counts of assault, possibly second-degree murder, and carjacking. Though it's a lot better than getting bullets put into my skull or fried extra crispy.

  16. Please get out your notes and your pens or pencils.

    Done? Okay.

All you have to do is to win the OOC bickering and hold your position for more than 30 pages of bittersweet posts ranging from complaints to confusion to obvious hate. Be prepared for a CNRP war that was meant to last for at most a week to extend into months from the consistent delays caused by OOC fighting, if the CNRP war ever finishes.

If you win the OOC fights, you win the CNRP wars. In other words, win the OOC wars before winning the IC wars.

    Remember this math formula:
((average highest tech)-(average lowest tech))*(Amount of combatants)*(Amount of preexisting technorant in combatants' military and defense)*(Amount of hotheaded stubborn combatants)*(Amount of tech-addict combatants)*(Inactivity or incompetence of GMs)=Amount of OOC bickering

(Amount of OOC bickering)*(Amount of combatants)*(Inactivity of combatants)*[(Average smallest military size)-(Average largest military size)]=How long it will take for a CNRP war to finish
That's all. Class dismissed. See you again after the next OOC war. May the Admin have enough server storage space and bandwidth to handle all of your OOC bickering.

  18. Perspective from Natas's view:

Today is the 27th, Cornwell and the Legislative are already cranking out laws that I would've shoved into the paper shredder. The movers weren't as competent as I hoped they would be. They broke quite a bit of furniture, including my favorite steel table. Dammit, how does one end up bending a thick steel leg to 90 degrees and call it an "accident"?

This house, it seems alien to me. It needs some cleanup because of the dust and spiderwebs, I should've hired someone to clean it up before I moved back to my old house.

Then I hear something very wrong. Glass shattering, something tearing through the dry wall over my head. I ducked down behind the kitchen's island counter just as more glass shattered and more holes appeared in the wall. I dial 911 and I notice it says, "no signal". It had max bars just a few minutes ago. Suddenly, I see the front door's lock turn into scrap metal and dust from gunfire. The door splinter in half as a boot smashes it down. I proceed to silently open the door to the basement, tip-toe downstairs and duck into a utility room. Two pairs of footsteps echo above, one of them going up stairs and the other heading to the kitchen.

The basement, like the rest of the house, was mostly cleaned out after I moved to the President House several years ago. For some reason, I left some stuff behind. A bag of water softener salt, a loop of obsolete Ethernet cable, a 10 gallon bucket, a short water hose mostly torn in half, and a flood pump. And there's the water heater, I wonder if it still works.

    Hmm...

    About a minute later

I have half of the hose connected to the hot water pipe to a salt-filled bucket and the other half connected the bucket to the flood pump.

Footsteps, coming downstairs. I wouldn't be surprised if they heard someone setting the water heater to max and running the water to get hot water. I then hear the person stopping at the door and trying to open it. I stepped away from the door with the flood pump ready. A burst of gunfire tore through the lock as I turn on the pump and I see a boot smashing through the door.

The assassin fell backward from the spray of scalding hot salty water, spraying bullets up into the ceiling. I then pick up the loop of bare cable by picking it up by the still covered portion and threw it at her. The cable was connected to the three prong outlet, getting shocked with 120 volts wouldn't be a pleasant experience. After a few seconds of hearing her blood curling scream, the circuit breaker trip. I hear another pair of footsteps rushing down the stairs, why am I not surprised that the scream, gunfire and power going out would alert someone?

I step over the twitching woman, careful not to shock myself in case if the salt water is still charged, and quickly enter the store room before closing the door. I felt around in the darkness, hoping to find something to help me, and then bump into a box, a cardboard box.

    Better than nothing I suppose...

  19. January 24th, 2012

To whoever is willing to understand...

It's too strong. The consistent get-rich-quick belief, it can't be stamped out. I can't tell the difference between this country, and the Previous Midwest Republic. Well except for one, the public no longer cares, it's too blinded by the economic boom to give a damn about the Constitution.

There's too much money in the system, and the banks are attempting to enslave their customers with endless debts by lowering their lending standards. Speculations everywhere. I don't know how long it will take for the financial bubble to burst, but it will be ugly. The Legislative and the Vice President Jack Cornwell is seething with anger towards me, they don't want me, they want someone that's more cooperative with them, and the business owners. I can tell that they have all been in bed with the powerful corporations. Jack purchased three Ferrari cars and two mansions within less than a year into office not too long ago, and therefore, I'm assuming he somehow "saved" millions of dollars from a yearly salary of $200,000. It's impossible that he saved up enough money for such purchases from his previous job. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't the only one swimming in dirty money.

The Legislative had also demanded a new foreign policy more favorable to the country, no, to the super wealthy. They no longer see neutrality as something that's favorable to them. They prefer imperialism.

Today will be my last day. They have started the impeachment process not too long ago, and tomorrow they will decide if I'm guilty or not. For sure they will boot me out for political purposes.

It's going to be a new bad era.

    President Natas

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Midwest Republic News, January 25th, 2012, 10:10 AM:

The Legislative has voted by 178 to 22 to impeach President Natas for "Treason", only mentioning that he threatened the security of the country by meddling with foreign issues. Vice President Cornwell will replace his position today.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suburbs of Minneapolis, January 25th, 2012, 10:31 PM:

Legislator Matt Quine was deep asleep in his bed, completely unaware of the fact that his home security system was disabled and his guard dog was gassed. A masked person stepped into his bedroom, armed with a gas mask attached to a canister containing carbon monoxide and anesthesia. The person placed the gas mask over Matt's face and turned on the valve. 30 seconds later, the masked person motioned for the partner to help. The body was stuffed into a large cardboard box before being transported out of the house and into an unsuspecting blue van.

Matt wouldn't be the only Legislator to be put down, the 21 others would also join him in the same night.
