1.
A fun war draws to an end. Thanks for the good times Fark.
Same to you, Kim. I had a good time fighting you and your Dino buddies. I only wish there had been more of you guys in range to play with! Cheers and thanks for the fun fight, mate!
2. Congrats, RIA. The period of time around the initial formation of Superfriends was about my favorite of the last 6 years. Its been an honor to have you all as friends since those early days.
3.
Good fight Fark.
Good fight to you as well, Derwood. It was an honor to smash my nation into yours repeatedly. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was going to come back for round 3 when I dropped back out of hippy mode in a couple of days, but alas, peace. Cheers, everybody. That was fun. Lets do it again sometime (hopefully in less than 6 months this time).
4. Well now it REALLY feels like 2007 in here. I look forward to blowing up GOONish bombs with my infrastructure once again. Welcome to the war, fellas. /spoiler alert, GOONS. I've seen this one before. Your friends turn on you in about 8 months and you all delete. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
5. Merry Christmas to allies, friends, opponents, rivals, neutrals, and everyone in between. And many thanks to all of my war opponents so far, from NPO and TIO to NG and TLR. You've all been classy, interesting, and a hell of a lot of fun to fight. Thanks for keeping my citizens warm with the glow of nuclear fire and for razing my nation's old dilapidated buildings with your bombs. I look forward to blowing up more of your bombs with my infra in the coming year! Merry Christmas!
6.
Best decision I ever made was following through on the Q&A invite over two and a half years ago.
Hoo, I remember when you were the noob in the SF gov rooms and Z and I used to spend our free time hazing/messing with you. Sure doesnt feel like 2.5 years ago! Its hard to believe its been 3 years since we obtained our freedom at the end of our 6 month Holy War and formed our suicide death pact with ASC and RIA. SF became even more of a success than the three alliances who started it could have imagined at the time. For the good times that we've had and the good times to come, cheers to all of you, Superfriends past and present. *raises glass*
7. Congrats on your peace, NSO. You guys got stuck in about the worst imaginable position in this war and I'm happy to see you made your way out of it. Good luck with your rebuilding. Also, some personal thanks for a few good fights to Corinan, Kevin32891, and CodyHaner. You all fought valiantly and it was a pleasure to meet you on the battlefield. Well done, gents.
8. Awesome review. That beer looks (and sounds) tasty! Well done, Mike717. Good fight, Zenith. I'm sad that I personally didn't get to war any of you, but everyone who did had good things to say about you all. You fought well, so enjoy your peace and rebuilding. /raises a glass of bourbon to Zenith
9. I haven't had the opportunity to blow up a FAN nation since our Holy War, but now I'm really looking forward to it again.
10. Agreed. It as a fun ride. A++, would get nuked by Uranus again! Good game to the CD, SNAFU, and BAPS guys that I fought.
11. That's how you do a classy DoW. Welcome to the war, guys. Sorry we have to meet on the battlefield, but Im sure we will all have fun.
12. Bye guys. Sorry to see you go. Good luck to you all, wherever you go from here.
13. Two of Fark's best friends getting together? That's pretty awesome! Congrats to both FOK and GO!
14. I'm going to ignore all of the silly back and forth in this thread and just say the following: To all the people of IRON, this war was the most fun and hard fought battle that we have been through in a very long time, maybe since our original 6 month beatdown. You guys fought honorably and actually fought back (its suprising how many alliances/rulers dont fight back after you hit them). It was an honor and a hell of a lot of fun to have met you on the battlefield, traded nukes, and beaten the crap out of each others' nations. So, members of IRON, well fought and congrats on your finishing your terms. I still remember very well the feeling of coming out of terms from a very harsh war on the losing end. Luckily, you guys didnt have to go through 6 months of war first to feel it, like we did! The feeling is pretty incredible and I hope you all are basking in it now. Good luck to you all in the future. Finally, thanks to these guys in IRON for putting up a great fight and doing such with impeccable honor. I had a blast! Dayvia NuclearShawn kpcurley Luyan Utnapishtin Blade 619 and most importantly to Formanj of Norvegs Trøndelag. What a battle and what a beating we both took! Seriously, my nation still has areas that glow! It was an honor to fight you, not to mention how much fun we both had. Well done, guys.
15. I voted and all I got was my brains eaten by a zombie. Congrats to the new Council. Have fun and keep us rolling down the right track. I'll be over in my retirement rocking chair yelling at clouds and shaking my fist at the kids to keep them off of my lawn.
16. What Sal said. Nukes are weapons, nothing more, nothing less. They were only called immoral by the powerful and the pixel huggers so that people would take less damage from a smaller opponent in a beatdown. Every war from now on will be nuclear and thats a perfectly fine thing. A nuke is just a weapon. There is not one immoral thing about it. As has already been said in this topic, imagine if GWII or the GPA war had gone nuclear. We could be looking at a totally different world today.
17. /me tips his hat to IRON Well fought, fellas. That was the most enjoyable war I've had since our Holy War and we've had more than a few since then. You fought hard, well, and honorably and it was certainly a pleasure to meet on the battlefield and smash pixels with you I fought a whole bunch of you guys in IRON in this war, but I'd like to give a special shout out to kpcurley, NuclearShawn, Utnapishtin, Blade 619, and especially Formanj. You guys put up a hell of a fight, were total gentlemen on the battlefield, and gave as well as you recieved. If it was possible, I'd buy you all a beer. I'm just sorry that I had to destroy so many of your pretty nukes with my killer infra! A++++ would trade nukes with again!!!!!! So, to IRON, good fight and good luck on the rebuilding. To the rest of my fellow Farkers and to our friends and allies in this fight, Rok, MHA, Gramlins, FCC, IPA, Halsa, ARES, and ROCK, well fought. It was an honor to stand, fight, and bleed beside you on the battlefield and I hope we can do it again soon. This game is a hell of a lot more fun when we have wars to fight and pixels to smash.
18. Right around 2 years ago a fledgling young alliance named Fark came to Planet Bob and, as a welcoming gift, recieved 6 months of perma beatdown from the main powers of the time (yes, FAN, you helped ). Those six months of constant, churning war acted as a crucible for our alliance. It cut the fat off and burned it away, driving away those who had more love for their pixels than their community, and gave us the direction, determination, and resolve that we hold in our hearts to this day. It was our shaping moment, our defining moment. It made us who we are today and who we will be in the future. I am sure that it has done the same for FAN. You will come out of this even better than you went in, solely for the experience itself. I look forward to seeing where it has changed you, strengthened you, and made you a new, improved, focused FAN. Your future is wide open. I remember those 6 months of 'perma war' as an incredibly fun and extremely frustrating time in Farkistan. It felt like forever. I cant imagine what 2 years of it was like. Consider me impressed on your lasting that long. It is extremely easy to say that very, very few alliances would still be here 2 years later after what you have gone through. It speaks volumes about the passion, commitment, and cohesiveness of your community . So, to the freedom fighters of FAN, from one person who was told that they would never have peace to another, I salute you. Congrats on making it to the other side. I am very impressed. Once again it has been shown that you cant force an alliance to disband and drop their AA, no matter what you do to them. Those who choose to do so when told to either place too much value on their own infra or too little value on their community. Those alliances make their own choice and disband themselves. No alliance can ever say that they were 'forced' to disband and youve proven that again. You are made of tougher stuff. Good luck to you in this time of transition for your alliance. I remember that it wasnt easy converting from long-bearded guerilla warriors back to regular citizens, but somehow I think you'll be just fine. Again, congrats on your newly found peace and good luck in the future. Oh and for old times sake: Fark FAN has outlasted the Initiative Continuum!
19. I'm not fat, I'm big boned! Beefcake! /pass the french fries, please
20. Congrats to you guys over at GO. Thats an awesome accomplishment. Here's to the future, with you guys getting a lot more money and us getting a lot more tech! B) GO
21. Agreed. We wish the best of luck to TFD as well. See you around, guys!
22. Now that's a blast from the past. I havent seen that in a long time. Thanks for taking me back to 2007!
