2.
Ha, funny man. You continue to recreate history in your mind to make yourself feel better about your sides loss, even we have explained it too you countless times. UINE didn't do anything expect get the living hell beat out of it.
http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=98064 Tetris left the war while UINE fought on.
 3. GATO, you may as well cancel this treaty now because Hooligans sure as hell won't defend you when you need it. My condolences in advance.* am I doin' it rite? o/GATO *it is called sarcasm, look it up.
 4.
I'm not going to name them, but you can recognize them. They're the ones who get excited about every 1M NS they get (well, everyone does, but they actually set it as a goal and feel like they're winning). If you ask them what their political ambitions are, they'll tell you that they want to grow huge and treaty the strongest alliances in the game. They care little for their members and are more interested in trying to gain political capital. Their members are mostly semi-actives, the people who those "we protect you from tech raiders" recruitment messages pull in. Their gov consists of a bunch of people who don't even know each other or where the alliance is going, but work together because they want to be 'gov' and want to claim some success for their own.
As a smaller alliance government member, I have to disagree with the last bit of what I quoted above. Most "smaller" (micro or low ANS mid sized) alliance government members are fairly competent, and have goals that go beyond signing treaties with sanctioned alliances. Yes, I will agree there are some, but it is wrong to generalize all of us as incompetent and not caring. I have a pretty strong feeling that most of the micro hating comes from the mass announcements from smaller, "insignificant" alliances on the AA forum. What most people on the OWF seem to fail at is realize that most successfull, smaller alliances do not post often on the OWF, and thus do not get recognized by the larger community. Therefore, small alliances have two options: post a lot, make some mistakes, and be laughed into disbandment, or be careful, become ignored, and fall into obscurity. Neither is a particularly good option if you ask me.
 5. Glad to see this announced, good luck. I'm sure we'll see you on the Sanction Race soon.
 6. Congrats NATO and Rok, brings back memories
 7. The word Muslim is Arabic for "follower of God". Therefore, anyone that believes in a monotheistic religion (Judaism, Islam, Christianity, etc.) is "Muslim". That being said, today is a good day for the entire world, as the largest threat to freedom this world has seen since Stalin. Not just as an American, but a member of the free world, I say thank you to the members of SEAL Team 6 and the other members of the team that took out bin Laden.
 8.
WTF???????????????????? joke treaty? prather, JD you guys are !@#$@#$ republicans and now you're signing with team Obama. ....
Dude, wasn't me. I was on the lake when they signed this.
 9. o/capitalism wait, The International is communist? What tha... I guess they'll be alright. Glad to see this official.
 10. eh, too lazy for a witty comment o/Athens
 11.
[ooc]If phpbb couldn't do what you needed, its probably because you didn't know what you were doing.[/ooc] Congrats on the new forums, I suppose. Hopefully you get it all figured out and mastered quickly.
We really don't know what we're doing, we just wing it.
 12.
we are almost there with a treaty with Athens Good Job xanth!
We are? I thought we were merging with NPO?
 13.
Good luck in your new home. (On a related note, couldn't you just redirect http://www.hooligansunited.net/ to your new forum?)
We're getting there. Only problem is our top forum guy is too busy shooting armadillos to do his job.
 14.
In all my years in this game, I have never witnessed such hysterical attacks against a fallen comrade as I have seen in this thread (and the THL thread) by people who are (purportedly) on the same side. Typically, when an ally falls in combat, we see hails from their side about the sacrifice that was made. I know nothing about TCU or the strength of the bonds that drew them into this conflict, but since I had never heard of them prior to declaring war upon them, I have certain suspicions. Firstly, I suspect that they were drawn in by their allies, and that they were totally unprepared for the onslaught that was to befall them. This leads me to believe that their own allies were not completely honest about the battle ahead. And now that they have suffered a defeat, their own side descends upon them like wolves. I wouldn't treat my enemies like this, much less people who shed blood on my behalf. It's despicable behavior, and it stinks of desperation. -Craig
Isn't it sad that the only people honestly giving props to TCU are those who were at war with them? They did what they could, and you can't ask for much more than that.
 15.
Seriously? The invective in this thread is sickening. Listen to yourselves. TCU entered into this war for the right reasons. TCU entered into this war to defend their allies. This is much more than their numerous detractors have done. TCU immediately became outnumbered, 79 nations and 2450k NS fighting against 738 nations and 25800k NS. Ten to one odds. Ten. To. One. I don't care how big your warchest is. When there is no help coming, against those odds, there is nothing to be done. This is not a failure of the individual TCU nations. This is not a failure of the TCU leadership. This is a failure of the coalition that TCU fought for. TCU has not abandoned you. You have abandoned them. They have relieved the pressure on their allies, if only for a week. They have lost much to do so. If there is any shame in this situation, it is in your expectation that TCU continue to lose, until you have used them all up and toss them away, like a worthless pawn you so obviously perceive them to be. For shame. They deserve better than the likes of you.
I completely agree with this. On top of the odds, many of the alliances who attacked them were among the most experienced and coordinated alliances in the game. They took their dogpile with dignity, which is more than I can say for about 99% of the people here.
 16. For all those bashing TCU for getting peace before they are totally destroyed, go play the game your way and let everyone else play how we want. TCU were good fighters who gave out a good amount of damage. If allied to them I would be proud to stand beside them. Good job TCU, you put up a hell of a fight.
 17. I think Bama got the message. If not, remember that 250 rule?
 18. congratulatio ad omnis insum (Congrats to all involved)
 19. I don't personally know most of these AA's, but I do know a couple that most don't. And I don't rate on reputation, but personal experience. NATO- 6 good people makes it a good alliance The United Front- 2 eager to prove themselves, but is a mask for ineptness politically and totalitarian approach to free thought.
 20.
GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN
I second that sentiment. It only takes 15-30 minutes, per hour. Plus another 45 minutes per hour at update.
 21. It could be, such as for a government or foreign affairs class. However, CN is a game, it is meant to be enjoyed. Those who are more competitive than others and take it seriously historically are more successful, such as NPO during the WUT/Continuum era. As for those who will say "what about Karma": "Hegemony" got cocky in my honest opinion.
 22.
Thanks GO. TUF is going to discover how it feels to be attacked, chased and surrounded by one of the most efficient and organized alliances of CN. GO will really reduce them to rubble.
I'm not being cocky, but I believe you severely under estimate TUF. We may not be well known, but we're not GPA, either.
