Announcing Lieutenant Yenroh as the 12th Lord of the Viridian Entente Hi everyone: I have been in VE Parliament/Executive for 10+ years, 6 of which has been as Lord of the Viridian Entente. The VE community and my time in CN has been important to me through the friends and connections I have made, but I'm no longer motivated to continue on in a government role. Luckily, I found a great successor that passed confirmation by Parliament Lieutenant Yenroh has been serving as my second-in-command (Duke) for over two years (and has held the post before). He's been coordinating with our allies and has the strong support of both myself and the VE community. Yenroh will add some much needed change in leadership. The role of Duke of the Entente will be filled by Azure, who has previously served as Secretary of Defense under my tenure and as Secretary of State back in 2008. His experience and perspective will be most helpful. Finally, our Secretary of Economics, Olorin, will be resigning to enter the world of retirement with me. He's done great work within VE, with years of contributions as Secretary of Interior, Communications, Economics, and as an advisor to the Executive. His dedication and assistance helped keep things going, and I thank him for his support. Sorry everyone, I fell asleep again! Then I got an email saying I got attacked, so I remembered that things are happening. Yeah... definitely don't remember what happened here, but I hope you find better things to invest emotions into. You were dreaming about us for a whole decade? You've had VE in your dreams way more than I ever had ---- would you like my job? PM me if you'd like more details My goodness. I'm so sorry everyone. From the 3 posts above, it's clear that there's just so much emotional investment in the VE. I feel terrible, cause I didn't know. I've neglected the emotional needs of many nations. I really hope this war gives you all what you need to clear yourselves of these bottled up emotions and to receive some closure. If I could help improve the mental health of the nation rulers who feel this deep rooted anger and give peace to their populace, then perhaps something good can come of this. Let me know if a listening session can help: I offer to be inclusive of all viewpoints and hope that by listening we can help further reduce the negative feelings plaguing you all (and hopefully the war is helping with that too). I'll take it under consideration. It is clear to me that we are everything wrong based on all the anger that I'm seeing here. Idk who Ardus is aside from seeing an old government list (sounds like he was important)! Don't really care about Impero's pov if we could divine what that is. If someone wants to make me feel an inch of emotion, getting Baltus to say mean things about it would be the key. And why leave out Goldie! I think he'd hate this most of all Honestly, this was the type of measured and fair response that I was expecting. Makes sense to me! It took a lot of nudging to wake me up. Everyone else was mostly awake.

A Declaration of War from the Viridian Entente on Non Grata When the Viridian Entente learned about a conflict involving our allies in Oculus, we committed to assisting (to be honest, I read through what was happening on Discord and have since forgotten what this conflict is about). Yet, after telling our allies that we would stand with them, I wondered: "What am I supposed to be doing? What game is this again? Why am I here?" Looking through the records, I realized the Viridian Entente last entered conflict in 2017. 5 years later, I searched far and wide throughout the lands of Viridia, asking for someone to remind me what it meant to declare war. I even had to find the Charter of the Viridian Entente to read the procedures about who gets to take Viridia to war (turns out that's my job). Luckily, a small band of Viridians rose up, and through the efforts of people like Lieutenant Yenroh, Samwise, and Azure, the Viridian Entente stood ready, despite my incompetence. It took like 5000 weeks, but we proved we could show up. Our patient and gracious allies in Oculus welcomed us to the cause, and we begin our first step: The declaration of war. The Viridian Entente declares war on NG in defense of our allies (nothing personal NG, because I've forgotten about every grudge VE is supposed to have). Something will happen, virtual nations will collide, and "fun" will be had --- one would think. Given the level of dormancy within the Entente, the fact that there are still members of the Entente willing to put in the investment to help coordinate a war and prepare target lists is truly amazing, and my appreciation for their work is immeasurable. It is also a testament to our members that they are still willing to show up and fight. While I have no idea what is going on, I do know that the Viridian Entente is committed to protecting our allies and fulfilling our obligations. I don't recall having any fear toward voicing opinions. I also never really considered us a swing (I tend not to hold grudges or have a deep set commitment/ambition to oppose people in this game), so our willingness to be friendly to various parties might have contributed to such a perception. At the onset of the bloc, there were concerns among Viridians about putting all of our efforts into one bloc given the tendency of blocs to dissolve (such as our prior experience in Pandora's Box). Sadly the choices of our non-Oculus relationships weren't compatible, but concerns on seeking external relationships faded over time due to our satisfaction with the bloc. I suppose the hypothetical case of being thrown out of Oculus would leave VE in a terrible place defense wise, but its not something I intend to plan for. If there were such a strong division that might get us thrown out, I would like to think it would be where we make a final stand before dissolving--- which is acceptable to me.... though I cannot imagine what such a division would be at this point.

I have been appointed as the 11th Lord of the Viridian Entente. I'd like to thank Baltus for his confidence and all the contributions he has made in VE. The effort and dedication that Baltus has put in for the Entente has been critical to VE's success over the many years. I will continue to seek out his counsel, and he will continue on in Parliament as a Chancellor (chancellors help oversee foreign policy). My plans for VE will build off Baltus' FA policy and internal goals. We will continue to work with and support our allies, in addition to opening our doors to the rest of CN to come establish communications with us. I'm not one to hold grudges, so I plan to follow the example Baltus has set in working with those we've had difficult relations with and move forward. Cybernations has changed since our founding. I will be working with my government to ensure that we are properly adapting to these systemic changes and to ensure that VE continues the prosperity it has seen in the past several years. The current government of the Viridian Entente is listed below. I've appointed Yenroh as my Duke. His experience in VE will be of great value to me and the Parliament, and I can rely on his good judgement in making executive decisions. I'm also pleased to see the inclusion of newer and older members in our government, allowing the voices of all generations of Viridians to be heard. First off, I’d like to thank Goldie for his commitment to our alliance, his strong leadership, and his mentorship during my time under him in Parliament. Throughout his tenure, he stood up for what he believed in and every move he made was with the best interests of VE at heart. He’s earned his retirement, and I look forward to working with him in his new role as chancellor. I’ve been working with Baltus since he joined the Entente and have the utmost respect and confidence in him. I know he will continue to carry Viridia to new heights and build off Goldie’s great work. He’s always been a voice of reason and is committed to seeing the Entente succeed. Finally, I am honored to be selected as the new Duke of the Viridian Entente and ready to uphold the responsibilities that come with it. I’m a relatively fresh face as far as Open World Forum posting goes, but I’ve held countless roles in VE, including Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, logging in over two years in parliament.
