  1. dude, way to make this thread even more mediocre than it was. I'd like to request a lower-mid tier thread and an upper-mid tier thread pls.

It's not the best thread, but at the same time it isn't the worst thread either.  You gotta give it that.  The "B-" of the thread world.

  2. Cutting through all the garbage propaganda and rah-rahing (which many people can't seem to let go of despite this supposedly being an OOC forum) and looking at how things are going, it seems to me that there will really be no clear-cut winner on a macro level.

  3. So there is something specific about my nation which is different to the majority of nations in my alliance which makes it a non quality nation? Given I have one of the highest tech nations in my alliance, with a full set of wonders and navy, please pray tell what might these differences between my nation and the rest be?

Come on, you're terrible.  Admit it.

  4. Except that it's not just apples, it's also oranges and those are harder to get since (let's assume)  they're out of season... and also the fruit prices rise exponentially based on how many you have already bought ..... actually this apples analogy sucks.

I never said that the NS model is that great, but that's what we have.  And looking at the NS model of losses and calling it even . . . well, it just isn't.  That's what people are doing here.

  5. It's easy to use nuclear weapons as an excuse for not being able to dominate despite superior numbers. It must be a hard pill to swallow when you're getting dished a similar amount of damage by a much smaller force.

I don't think NS is the best way to judge this, but looking at NS no it's not similar amount of damage.

If I have ten apples and someone takes one away, that really sucks.  But it doesn't suck nearly as much as if someone had three apples and someone took one away.  Now I think your side's doing much better than that (and your NS losses will slow as infra dries up); but in terms of what these charts are looking at, it is not.  It's not hard to figure out who would run out of apples first if things continued unchanged (they won't).

  6. Considering how many alliances are on the eq side and the near even losses on both if say the Dh/ CNG side is winning. Sure they have a small amount of extra losses but they have dealt back nearly the same amount to an enemy near 3 times larger.

But if the losses are near equal in raw numbers, that's a larger percentage DH's overall strength as they are the smaller side.  Of course, I'd also say that DH nations for the most part have a higher "floor" per tech numbers.

I don't know if total losses are very useful one way or the other, but it's interesting to look at.

  7. Assuming people honestly believe their positions here (not intentionally posting propaganda).

Somehow that seems unlikely to me.  I wish people could (just for this thread) stop all the macho chest-puffing to impartially discuss what's a pretty interesting war.

  8. The thing you might not be seeing is this: the people we sent, with very few exceptions, are active. They're competent. And they got huge warchests. If Vlad wants to, tomorrow, he's back to 75k. Heck, if he wants to, tomorrow, he buys 15k infra and he's up to 90k NS. Might even add 3.8k tech to go up to 110k NS or so. And the worst is, that's not even half of his warchest spent in one massive purchase, the kind most nations around here do once. If he wants, he can re-buy 10k infra a dozen times over.

Yeah, too bad only one side of this war has anyone with warchests and such, eh Yevgheni?

  9. While I hope this war mixes up the current power structure which I think can almost never be a bad thing, let's not paint pre-karma days as anything other than what they were. [In-game (not talking about all of this personal stuff)] there's not even a comparison between then and now.

Of course, many of the people responsible for that nonsense aren't even around any more.
