  1. The fact that you moralist people get up in arms about MQ attacking neutral alliances but have no issue with some dude playing a Victorian era African stereotype in such a blatantly racist manner astounds me. The hypocrisy is utterly amazing. He is trying to be funny by pretending to be an ignorant, half intelligible African king who is in actuality a laughingstock to compared to "real" alliance leaders. The very pretense plays on the idea that he is an uneducated and bumbling African. It's sickening.

Of course this is CN so I have no idea why I would expect better.

Don't get me wrong not much of this bothers me one way or the other.

Couldn't you just as easily say he's making fun of Victorian stereotypes?  I wonder.  It's an anachronism.  But I also wonder who has an issue with the whole "Mushqueda" thing.  Seems like if one is an abomination the other should be too.  This shouldn't be but it's almost like I can tell what alliance someone is or isn't in based solely where they fall concerning the outrage over all of this.

  2. Had the pleasure of going a couple rounds each against Lavo_2 and Thors Hammer from TOP. I'd say we've been pretty even as far as damage overall. I've gotten the better of them in a round while they were able to rock my world in another round while they were fighting with Telchar (also from TOP).

Centurius and Fulgrim (again from TOP) were both quality opponents. Even with odds stacked heavily against them they kept bringing the fight.

Talisk (once again from...) was a particularly enjoyable opponent. Some fantastic banter was had throughout our encounter.

I'd give a shoutout to my other foes from TOP (and I think I had one against an Alchemy nation), but our wars were deleted and I don't remember their names. It's much the same story with these guys, though. Nobody has been rolling over in any of our wars.

Yeah, all of the the TOP-DT wars I've experienced/heard about so far have been pretty legendary.  And civil too, which is rather rare.

  3. If you still congratulate them on their fighting prowess in three to four months from now, it will be something. For now, saluting those who surrendered is polite, yet often done with ulterior motives, especially by the victors.

Eh, my ulterior motives are that many of my friends live in that alliance, no matter what side they fell on in this war.  They're good guys who did what needed to be done.  Hopefully for most, that lasts way beyond the fruits of some forum PR push--and well after the last blackened rifle has been set aside in this war.
