  1. Still pondering whether to stick it out and try for Primera. I'm getting quite busy in TOOL these days.
  2. I'm surprised TOOL got mentioned, but glad I wouldn't be surprised if Transvaal won it all, but if they were to meet Uralica, it would be a match for the ages Don't underestimate either Uralica or its TOOL compatriots!
  3. Agreed. TOOL has done very well. Surprisingly well most would say. Considering Legion started with 13 and we started with 8, and we're down to the same number of teams. What's also awesome is Richard VII still being in the hunt even though he was the only CCCer who entered. Also o/ to those other alliances who pulled the same thing off (I'm almost positive NPO and TPF both fall into this category).
  4. I'm also quite pleased to see Richard VII's South Sudan team in the group stage. Being an ex-CCCer myself, I'll be pulling for him... unless he ends up playing against a TOOLie of course COME ON URALICA! HYVÄÄ URALIKAA!
  5. ahhh, I see. Well, bring on the group stage.
  6. #7. #5 is Under The Sun, isn't it? Still quite impressive though. I know Willem and Daks will both be very happy.
  7. Uralica Wins Close One SYKTYVKAR - It just wasn't Khavkuk Shlomov's day. Hitting the post, hitting the crossbar, and having RMA Golden Nation's keeper rob him of a glorious chance took its toll in a match Uralica could easily have won 6-0 with the amount of chances they had. It took a surprise goal from midfielder Raimo Suominen for the Sinikotat to win the match. In spite of this, Raimond Kuik was satisfied with both Shlomov's play and the play of his team in general. "We played well, and simply ran into a good goalkeeper," Kuik said. "They played pretty well too for what it's worth. Their defence is of a decent calibre and their goalkeeper is world-class. I do seem to remember Yevgeny [Kudymov, Uralica's starting goalkeeper] complaining about not getting enough action though!" This was but one of The Order of Light's victories on this day, of which there were five. An overconfident Kvasa got humbled 5-0 by Sigmund, but this proved to be their only regulation loss as TOOL rattled off two gigantic upsets, with Willems nation stunning Articuno Islands of Valhalla 5-2, and the dakotans up-ending 12th-ranked Jakistan 4-2. Pyros defeated The Allied States by the same score, while Novaja Zemlja doubled up on Minilla Island of Polaris, 2-1. Gameday lost a heartbreaker in penalties after going scoreless in regulation and after extra time against Dell Land.
  8. Yeah, he's an IRON member. VolNation will have a TOOLie cheering for him tomorrow
  9. Uralica Prepares For RMA Golden Nation SYKTYVKAR - With the amount of preparation that went into training today, one would think Uralica's men's national football team was preparing for a match against VolNation or Tritonia. Turns out their opponent is far less well-known, being from Soldier nation RMA Golden Nation. But manager Raimond Kuik is taking absolutely no chances, and his players are following suit. An 11-on-11 practice match punctuated a rigorous training session which saw many of Uralica's best impress the manager, but none more so than Mennonite flanker Diedrik Siemens. "Didi is really making a strong case for being the most underrated player on Bob," Kuik said, with pride. "He is fast and powerful, shows amazing accuracy with his passing and crossing, and doesn't shirk any defensive responsibilities. I'm glad he's on the team. I'm sure the forwards are as well. They all love the guy. He is such an amazing team player." Jarkko Salomäki, both national ruler and team captain, was up to his usual shenanigans, showing his defensive craft as he was one of only two Uralican defenders able to contain wonder-striker Khavkuk Shlomov. The other was his teammate from Sikkivukarin Palloseura in the Bolakliiga and Liga Mundo, Petteri Vahalahti, who has been a pleasant surprise for both club and country. "He's awesome," says Salomäki of the Syktyvkar-raised Finn. "Seriously, I think the guy's better than me. He has amazing distribution, can change position quickly to cut players off, tackles cleanly, and is strong in the air. He's a defender's defender." Tomorrow's lineup will include many of "the usual suspects" for the Sinikotat, although Norwegian-Saami midfielder Hans Henriksen has hit a run of poor form and will likely sit on the bench while Estonian Vaido Järvi handles the starting duties on the right flank. Also, backup goalkeeper duties will fall upon wunderkind Achim Tsyplakov as Sasja Rodionov's fitness isn't 100% yet after recent Liga Mundo action.
  10. Seems like quite the gap between the lowest sanctioned alliance and the highest non-sanctioned alliance. How long ya think it might take one of GGA/GPA/TOOL to catch FOK? Probably quite some time I'd imagine. Nice to see Polaris on the up again.
  11. TOOL Takes Six Of Seven DUBLIN - Six Order of Light Nations entered Tuesday's matches, and five came out. Hard-fought wins abounded as of the six matches, four were decided either by one goal or by a penalty shootout. Although KingsIndia got clobbered 3-0 by Establishmentism of IRON, the defence was generally good from those TOOLies involved, although Kvasa had to fight a war of attrition in their road match against Ciumideii, although they eventually came up victorious, 4-3. The Dakotans came up with a home-base clean sheet, blanking Kapellen 1-0. It was a bit more exciting than the scoreline would suggest, as both sides had numerous chances but one one player could actually capitalise. Willems Nation and Novaja Zemlja both came up with upsets, with the former defeating Steelertopia 2-1 at home and the latter going to penalties against the Republic of Sussudio after both regulation and extra time ended 1-1. Finally, the biggest wins for TOOL came courtesy of Pyros, as they got the goose egg against Borknagar on the road, 2-0, and Gameday, who defeated Kiristan from Zenith by the same score. The next round will prove more interesting as small powerhouse Uralica enters the draw. Manager Raimond Kuik of the Uralican "Sinikotat" says that they will be taking no chances against anyone, no matter how small or obscure they may seem to the football community of Bob.
  12. Uralicans Keeping Eyes On Many Nations SYKTYVKAR - Although the "Sinikotat" are the team to cheer for in the upcoming FIFOB Alliance Cup, the population of the quasi-Siberian nation of Uralica, the footy-mad fans there are also following many other teams. Since the nation was originally a member of the Christian Coalition of Countries, some are focussing on the nation of South Sudan, the Coalition's only entrant. Others still are choosing from the other six entrants from their own current alliance, The Order Of Light - Kvasa, Pyros, Willems nation, the dakotans, Novaja Zemlja, and/or KingsIndia. Still others are picking nations to follow that have had a favorable history with Uralica - those like Prince Edward Island, Steelertopia, and Hawkislava. "The atmosphere is absolutely electric here," says Uralikan Palloliitto president Kimi Hartikainen. "Not only are they excited about seeing our men play in this amazing event, but they are taking an active interest in the game in general. This could be he beginning of an invitational tournament, plus to see Uralicans excited about their allies' progress is encouraging. FIFOB has really pulled off something big with this." Uralica is seeded tenth in the Cup meaning that they do not play in the first round, and its ruler, Jarkko Salomäki, is the team captain at left back. He is also a very outspoken footy pundit on Bob. "I think Uralica is a pretty capable side," he says. "Anything less than the final knockout round will be a bit of an eyebrow-raiser, although we're tough enough to take a drop-out from the Group stage. I don't think we'll win it all, but I'll be damned if we don't try and go down fighting! Khavkuk [shlomov] is itching to test his mettle against the best on Bob. And trust me, I know from having faced him, that kid is AWESOME. The NOAH nations are probably going to mop up, although Arcadian Empire, Transvaal, and nations with strong traditions like those will also do well. I'd like to see South Sudan and the other TOOL nations do well, too, but there are over two hundred other teams to compete against, so we'll see."
  13. o/ Josef Thorne.

Your post in the CCC surrender thread was pure win.

  14. Just thought I'd point out that Macedonia was disbanded at the beginning of April. They were given an Embassy at CCC for a short time that served as their temporary home when their forums were victimised by a DoS attack, but then something happened to their leader in-game and they decided to disband at her request. Also the CCC link is broken. It should be: http://z7.invisionfree.com/CCC_Forum/index.php
