  1. Methrage, I know you typically don't think before you post, but I'd think you would have been here long enough not to stoop to Loki-type tinfoil posts. When a power of old is "tossed out", the old one will largely remain the same. Then you and your lot will tinker off to the other side of the conflict, get your keyboards out and type up these sort of "CN Revolution" posts again. Why do you think it'll be different this time?
  2. There's literally no point attempting to make you understand the way wars that conclude with victors and losers. Have you ever even looked at a peace treaty before?
  3. What the $%&@ did you just !@#$@#$ say about me, you little !@#$%*? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the $%&@ out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my !@#$@#$ words. You think you can get away with saying that !@#$ to me over the Internet? Think again, !@#$%. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re !@#$@#$ dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little !@#$. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your !@#$@#$ tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will !@#$ fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re !@#$@#$ dead, kiddo. Oh my god, you're a moron. Come back to posting again when you graduate high school. Clearly my services are in demand...
  4. Well I'm quoting his sig, which in turn is quoting a song lyric, but hey. You know me, always working hard to get others to respect me. On a similar note of "earning respect", what has GATO done in years, aside from being old, inactive, and CN's "first democracy"? Last I've noticed the only thing GATO has done is democratically move from being one person's lapdog to the next. So who are you to talk to me (or anyone else, really) about earning respect?
  5. Holy shit, I haven't heard something so dumb on the OWF in a while, and that's saying a lot given the contents of this thread. You do understand there are victorious and defeated parties here, yes?
  6. I don't know, but I think I should blog about the possibilities.
  7. Well, you're not incorrect, but let's not forget that NPO actively entered into fronts it was not engaged in (the TOP/AZTEC front comes to mind) in order to take a greater role in peace negotiations that it felt were not proceeding in its own interests. So the circumstances here are quite a bit different.
  8. See, now you're just being absurd.
  9. Hey! Let's make a blog post critiquing the all the recent blog postings!
  10. If you make me a Hans Landa TOP sig I'll go back to using that theme when the war is over. ;)
  11. Not surprising to see this kind of deep, thoughtful response from the guy with a Transformers Megan Fox avatar.
  12. As poorly as it does on Valhalla. Making no nuke deals with your wartime opponents is a pretty shitty thing to do to your coalition, regardless of the circumstances.
  13. You mean the one that NPO agreed to, and also held up their end of? I'm not saying it wasn't a reprehensible thing to do (I think it was pretty scummy tbh) but you're acting like Val just decided "we aren't going to nuke NPO because we feel like it!" and as though there wasn't a similar policy in place coming from Pacifica.
  14. Ooooooh, the Webster's Dictionary argument. So effective! You're obviously new here, or inexperienced at most. The terms offered to NPO are in response to their tactical decisions made over the course of the war. Any potential benefit to us is purely coincidental and unintended. ;)
  15. No, they aren't. They aren't reparations, as reps would imply some sort of material gain on our behalf-i.e. you pay me x million. That isn't happening here.
  16. Why do you have any expectation that we should treat you with respect, especially after posts like this? I keep seeing this: posts that simultaneously cry about not being treated properly with tinfoil theories about our coalition structure. One or the other, brudda. I am. You're free to call it what you like, as am I. Of course at the end of the day my opinion on the matter means far more than yours, but you did ask me to be honest, so here it is!
  17. Oh no! We're losing a war yet we don't get to dictate the terms of our own surrender! Get over yourselves. This soapbox grandstanding isn't doing you any favours.
  18. There's always one alliance out there that practically hands our protectorates as though they were free. It was the Apparatus for a while before they merged into Pax Corvus, seems like TTE has taken up that mantle ever since. So, good luck, I guess? I always want there to be more successful alliances out there but this announcement isn't an indication of any sort of quality or characteristics beyond existence.
  19. Between Daenerys Targaryen and Tywin Lannister, the stock of "ASOIAF themed ruler names" seems to be dipping, and fast.
  20. Guys, Buck posted on the OWF today. Thus this can't be him... though I wouldn't have been surprised beforehand. New bets... is it Winner? Tolywn? RyanGDI? Tune in next week to find out!
  21. Happy birthday, UPN. You're a good lot and I'm very glad to have gotten to know you over the past year.
  22. Tragic. It is times like this where it's difficult to see this world as anything more than a collection of fragile creatures. Terrible things can happen by the hand of a monster or just by nature itself. For these times it is necessary to set aside in-world struggles and unite as a community. Rest in Peace, Andrew. You won't be forgotten.
