Everyone here that is complaining over our coalition's "extortion" of NPO is conveniently forgetting that Farrin literally offered our side a peace that was more crippling for their alliance than the one we've been discussing on the table for a while. Of course we aren't interested in a deal like that, because really it's just NPO offering us a noose to hang ourselves with, but let's please drop the "Polar coalition is trying to destroy NPO with these terms" nonsense, because it shows a blatant lack of understanding for 1) the progression of these peace talks as well as peace negotiations in general, and 2) NPO's recent peace offers.

No, I don't. That being said, nor do I pretend to. I don't know the member culture of any alliance particularly, aside from TOP. Nor do I pretend to... and that right there is the key difference between you and I on this matter.

He was an early member of NSO (he talks about it a fair deal) but given how he's been opposed by current NSO members, I can't imagine he knows much about their modern culture. That being said, you're right on this one.

Given the amount of times you and other NoR members have gone "we don't care about the NPO element of this, we're just here to defend our allies in NG", I'm going to go ahead and say that these thought processes are above your pay grade, buttercup.

And as you can tell from the same logs you posted, we don't want those terms. We aren't going to let NPO martyr themselves for the next war with stupid reps terms. There's a reason we're going along the path that we are rather than asking for tech reps like Farrin offered.

Why not just make them World Affairs posts? If you're afraid of the discussion getting drowned out or what not. They'll remain up there so long as they are active. If you want them linked to a blog, just make one blog post with a list of all of them and update it constantly. That way people who visit your profile can see it. ...or let's not do things the easy way. What do I know, anyways?

Dude, while it's not against any rules to post a blog and a topic of the same thing, try to stay away from making it a regular deal. It's kind of obnoxious and splits the discussion of the issue anyways.

I think what you mention is one of my favourite parts of the founding of NSO... seeing all these people fly towards him, forming a line and getting on their knees. It was laughable. Of course NSO is totally different now (you would know), but it really was a cult of awful personality for a while.

Apples to oranges and you know it. If you don't, look back over the half dozen times that the difference has been explained, and maybe that will permeate your Body Republic hivemind.

Glad to hear it... being able to understand and adapt to constructive criticism is something that few new rulers understand nowadays, and I think that's done significant damage to the culture of the OWF (among other things). Good luck and I hope you're for real on this one.

Basic respect is given up to a point. When the community knows enough about someone to determine whether or not they deserve said respect, then things change. We seem to be on a pretty strong collision point towards you not necessarily having any respect here. Yes, part of it is the damn verbosity. It makes your posts on a casual forum a pain to read (the red text and different font don't help either) and it makes you come across as a try hard who is itching to show how intellectual they are at every opportunity. While we should be open to new members and styles of posting, there's a limit to that that I believe you've crossed. In short, you have a narrow window of opportunity to establish your image here before people begin to drop judgements down upon you. That's just the way it is. Don't attempt to prove you're intelligent with big words, because no one buys it. Prove you're intelligent with your actions.

I shouldn't even bother replying to this, but hey... no, TOP does not have banks. Polar does not have banks. GOONS is not Umbrella's bank. You seem to be confusing banks with tech sellers, which is somewhat sad because Pacifica is the only alliance daft enough to still use banks. Yes, we have tech sellers. They're currently fighting in this war. If you even attempted to gain an understanding about what these peace negotiations are actually about rather than just drinking Kool-Aid PacificTM it'd go a long way in making your arguments less inane and more rational.
