  1. I would like to thank Myworld and the alliance of DT for their rapid and honorable resolution to the specifics of this incident. I also thank all those that offered support and undertook preemptive actions on my behalf. o/ Dark Templar o/ CN community o/ none
  2. Hello CN community, Recent, actually currently, I am being raided. As I was teamed up on I used the standard tactic of turtlling to stop all profit taking from my nation. This message then arrived: Of course as he doesn't really know how to raid profitably he has taken this tactic to try to gain profit. I log in tonight to this: My question is not "zomgosh i iz glowing green, so unfair", I've been nuked before and this wont be the last time I'm nuked. The question is "Is nuke raiding an acceptable raid standard for the community?" And to get in before any "join an alliance if you don't want to get attacked" posts this is once again not about me being attacked but about this tactic used to try to gain profit. Thanks in advance, my knowing the acceptable community standard well help me in the future once I get nukes. -Icy McFlame
  3. Just a quick follow up here... I picked up another trader partner with furs and as soon as the deal was accepted my 'growth' land area shot up to 40 miles. w00t! Time to wash my nation off and tool around town in it again! -Icy McFlame
  4. Thank you for your response Iamrecognized, And I do give a shout out for you to be recognized! As it so happens I was randomly placed in the red team upon creating my nation. After learning about NPO and how they run the red team I am quite happy where I am. I am enjoying the easy, yet slow, life. My trade spaces are indeed empty. But this is a relativly recent happening (as I had just canceled one non-team trade partner and lost another later that day due to inactivity on their part). I have, of course, taken measure to secure more trades and have three offers out. So no worries on that front. While most people enjoy alliances and the quick start they offer a nation I am not of that sort. I have no desire to rush ahead. I'm enjoying toying with my nation at a leasurly pace. Slow building fits my style now. When it does come time to choose an alliance I will keep your suggestions in mind. -Icy McFlame
  5. Thank you Count, I think you have found out what happened. Furs was one of the items I lost when the 'inactive' nation was removed. I missed the part where it tripled the natural growth of a nation. I could very well have been at 39 (I know for a fact I was in the 30's) but I really remember myself being in the 32-33 range. My memory may be wrong. One odd thing that I need to get used to is that recources has an effect on past numbers. It looks like growth numbers arn't really in the past but are just a number calulated every day. So being 25 days old nets me 12.653 miles. Then I would apply Furs bonus of x3 for 'that day' if I happened to have furs. I'll work on getting another fur trading partner to see what happens to my land area. Thanks for helping me solve "The Riddle of the Missing Land!" <spooky noise> -Icy McFlame
  6. Good Sir, That is exactly what I was thinking. My first (or second perhaps) day was the only time I purchased land. And, yes, I only purchased 1 mile. This was to get myself "out of the red". So anything to do with "purchased" land couldn't effect my drop in land area by such a large amount. Does anyone know how much land is 'grown' each day or how that is calculated. As I'm sitting at 25 days should my nation be at some average area size? So far this is the only thing that's different: Yesterday three trading partners, today I only have one. -Icy McFlame
  7. Here is my nation link: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=228556 I hope that's the right link o.O Anywho, I've thought about this some more after I posted and came up with some ideas... 1) I sold the land somehow: As I read in the response I needed 100 miles before i could sell so I couldn't have done this on accident (yes, I do make mistakes sometimes... but not this time!) 2) I lost two trading partners: One switched teams a while ago and I sent off a nice messages saying I was ending the arrangement this past weekend. The other was a nation from 20+ days ago that abruptly vanished with no warning. I figure this was a nation that had gone inactive and was removed. I looked at all the bonuses one could get from trading partners and found nothing that effect total land area. Well, exept rubber, and that only effects land purchases, which I've made only one of, which was of a total of 1 mile, so not enough to account for the 20 mile drop in size, plus the fact was that neither of the trading partners had rubber, >.> , <.<, comma. And to respond to "maybe I mis-read my land amount": One thing that I like to do is to view the size of my nation. Yes, I'm that self centered. Just look at the size of my nation! So last night I was checking out my size and as I had started it in the center of a state park I was surprised I had finally grown large enough to start 'controling' land outside of this park. Today when I checked out my land size I had shrunk considerably, and I haddn't just gotten out of the pool! So, with all that being said, maybe, just maybe, the total number of trades one has effects land size? I'm just guessing in the dark while using way to many commas. -Icy McFlame
  8. Yesterday I was sporting the hawt new nation at 25 days old. I was crusing around So-Cal at a respectable 32 miles diameter. Today I go to take my nation out for a spin and low-and-behold I'm looking at 13 miles diameter. First thing I thought was WAR! Now here is where it gets hinky... No events, no war, nothing. I'm left standing in the parking lot looking at my old and busted nation having been stripped of about 60% of it's size and l33tness. Now I'm sure there is something about the game I'm not understanding. I've searched the help sections and what not but can't find anything dealing with an abrupt loss of land. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can figure out what's going on? Thanks for your time, Icy McFlame P.S. My population is living at 77.26 per mile and are feeling crowded. New York is at about 26k per square mile so my peeps are just going to have to suck it up til I figure out what happened!
