I'm at 97% now.
And yes, $1M is definitely worth it to improve this efficiency.
Yeah, depending on the Resource you get!

I'm going to the Moon, I desire Titianium. It's like a super Stock Market Wonder!
-
When it says that a moon colony "stores 6% of your citizen population"...what exactly does that mean?
It takes 6% of your citizens and adds them as new population at your Base. This population cannot be harmed by war on your planet bob bound country. (Think of it as a population multiplyer that ignores infrastructure change (for good or ill))

Change the Lead back to the old new? If not, may I please have the img? It think it's cool.
-
Hey Admin, I liked that icon for Lead (the old new one?)! May I have it plox?
-
I approve of these new images, specially Lead! Here's to the rest being updated!

Honestly? I think they are too expensive for their benefits. It would cost me 688 Million to get a Martian Base. It would cost me another 490 Million each for a colony and a mining base. Those three would provide a total of 14 happiness, -3% infra cost and upkeep, and 5% citizen storage, and access to Sodium which would provide a further +4 happiness to my nation.
Those figures are assuming maximum happiness is being given as it states "Provides a gradually increasing happiness bonus that peaks at +6 happiness at the end of the life of the wonder." which I interpret as over time you will gain more happiness up to +6 happiness. This also does not take into what "effectiveness" truely equates to which such a generic description of what it could impact.
"The closer in miles that a facility is to the hotspot the more effective that wonder becomes," effective in what way? More citizens? More happiness? Better bonuses? Generic.
I don't know if I can justify spending nearly 2 BILLION to get the bonuses these wonders provide. I can't honest decide if they will EVER pay for themselves.
They aren't, they are meant to be end-game money sinks.
-
Military shouldn't be included in the cost of the wonder. Just Tech and Infra.
-
Where does that idea come from anyway? What exactly is the advantage of capitalism for buying infra over Revolutionary? I don't see a difference.
Capitalist has better environment and increased land area (More citizens).

Improvement Swap
The basics of Improvement Swapping (as I understand it)
Labor Camps, they decrease your infra costs (50% decrease with 5 camps) but also decrease the amount of money you get in taxes per citizen. So you want to have camps while paying bills, but not when collecting taxes.
So the first thing you need to do is to make sure you have enough money to pay your bills for the duration of owning labor camps (5 days, 10 days, 15 days, 19 days depending on how you want to do it.)
Second trash the 5 'least important' improvements you have (most alliances have some sort of guide as to what order you should buy improvements in). You now replace those 5 improvements with 5 labor camps.
Third, only pay bills for the length of time you've chosen, do not collect taxes.
Finally, at the end of the cycle, trash your labor camps, buy back the original improvements and collect taxes.
I'm not an expert on it so I don't know if 1k infra is a good time to start or not.
Hope that helps you a bit
A good time to start is when the money you make in swapping is enough to pay for re buying the 5 camps.

This man is smart, and correct.
He forgot Aircraft Carriers.

The lack of class in this post in unbelievable. Why don't you crawl back under your rock, hm?
Class in my OWF? Impossible!
-
Maintain enough Tech to max happiness granted from it and sell the rest in tech deals. You can start buying Tech yourself once you max 3 Mil after taxes.

I have noticed this as well, the weaker ships are like cannon fodder and get destroyed first it seems
Picket Ships get obliterated first, though, it's a tad annoying loosing so many Landing Ships because of that.
-
Damnit and here everybody said we'd be the first to surrender. We at GGA are sincerely sorry for the disappointment, all our white flags were destroyed in the nuclear bombardment.
-
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
-
How do I imput this into Mega Man 3?
-
Mmmm....Caek.
-
GGA by a landslide...
right after they hit a few of Athens members... and our Athens applicant... OH NOES OUR POOR APPLICANT!
FAIL.
They got DoW'd by 9 alliances.
EPIC FAIL.
BTW
GGA...
Thank you for your 4 mill, and 20 tech you have so generously given to me today.
I can't wait until tomorrow when you give me more
Hey, we love ourselves a bandwagon party! But surrender? Nah, not even remotely close to our line of thought.
How do did you put it? Ah yes, EPIC FAIL.
-
Silly people, don't you know that NPO doesn't issue the IGV with a surrender option in their tactical displays?

Rule #76
No Excuses. Play like a champion.
Rule #1
Murphy's Law will always win.

honorable move, o/ FLY
o/ CnG
edit:
@ silverhawk, it is hardER to blitz when the servers lag... however, FLY's counter blitz was more effective than GGA's was against Athens, during server lag. we were ALL effected by the same lag, it does not choose to "pick on" GGA alone. methinks that there should be some planning for lag.
That's why we planned to begin at 30 minutes to update, a gaff in hindsight. But I'm sure had we begun attack as soon as the DoW was posted, we would of been trolled for "Doin da blitz wrong, lol gga."
-
What makes it easier for me to sleep at night is the knowledge that Moo sees through this and that he also know that you only came crawling back to Pacifica's side due to your own self interest.
So wait, we came crawling back because we canceled a redundant treaty and were still bound by 2-3 others? Okay, good to know. I was expecting something original, like a glib reference to the IGV or some such.
-
servers crashing is no excuse for poor war management/planning. the weak will always try to find blame elsewhere...
next we'll start hearing about how tonight's 2nd attempt at a blitz failed do to all of GGA's soldiers being nuked...
don't worry GGA, we know it's not your fault, watch your step getting onto the short-bus to war.
Who said it was an excuse? Also, please cease the blatantly obvious flaming, don't need another thread locked because of it.
