I agree with your assessment, and that without some kind of breakup in Occulus any attempts to start something interesting will fail to be interesting. But I'll still give him credit for having the desire at least.

I knew someone would take the bait!How'd you end up loosing tech in peace time? Anyway, I understand you're upset after MK sent you to suck up to us for months to get a treaty but ended up getting rolled a few months later and then having your rogue party interrupted and having to suck it up again oh, and then getting rolled again. Sure, we made mistakes, big & horrible mistakes, it was our job to fix them, I suppose we fixed those to certain extent to people that mattered to us. In all honesty, you cant expect us to give two !@#$% about your opinion and I would'nt expect anything else the other way around either. We made errors, it was your job to capitalise on them, you failed again. Well, I suppose the only thing you had going during all this time was the free tech, that was taken away too, so yea, I can understand all the butt-hurt with all the incompetency in politics and getting caught with hands in the jar with nation building. As always, I wish you the worst of luck.

Every war is different.
- noCB was probably the best for me. MK going out with a bang into a war we didn't expect to survive, and doing it in a way that we would do maximum damage to NPO, and having tons of fun with it on these boards (as well as internally), was really fun.
- Karma was the most fun as a revolutionary war, and coming together with tons of different alliances.
- Dave93 was the funniest war to be part of the planning off, setting that stupid trap for CSN, and not giving a s*** about how stupid it was.
- Equilibrium was really funny for how incredibly incompetent our enemies were. Unfortunately due to our side being fairly dysfunctional too (no one could agree on a strategy and everyone did their own thing), and the numbers disadvantage, we weren't able to capitalize on it.
I missed Bipolar :( I imagine that would have been the best.

That's a long run. In that run you've been an ally as well as a top contender for WAE. Good luck to your former members and for those that move have fun in NPO.

Nothing interesting will happen until nearly the entire rest of the world teams up to attempt to take down Oculus (less likely given their treaty ties) or Oculus fractures (more likely given how large power blocs have gone in the past.)

1. Wait, so I rip on IRON for lacking the balls to fight a war in which they aren't guaranteed the win. Samus counters with Bipolar. Isn't the main TOP/IRON whining point about Bipolar that they thought they had it in the bag before the whole Bipolar part of Bipolar? So Samus' counter argument to me stating that IRON won't fight a losing war, is to bring up a war they would never have fought if they knew they might lose? And then IRON and the CoC in Karma, I think we all know how that went.

3. Yes, I'm sure you battled long and hard for all 3.6 million casualties that you have.
4. I only lost about 20k tech, although I'm not sure anyone expects anything resembling reality from you in the first place nowadays. You see, I'd happily go to ZI/ZT fighting a good stand up fight burning all the NS I can off of scum like RON. You cannot abide the concept of losing pixels and you attribute your fear of losing pixels to others.
IRON having to go back to bipolar to prove their point is funny. In Bipolar as you said they thought they had a chance of winning (and were following TOP's lead). In Karma they along with a bunch of other alliances had to be shamed into defending NPO.
IRON has never been anything more than a large, militarily incompetent, glorified meat shield for better alliances.

Easy to avoid real opposition when you cherry-pick your opponents such that you don't actually have to fight.
Avoiding fights is Umbrella's specialty, at least under Roquentin.
