M. The simulataneous works fine (no account problems yet). In my round 3 or 4 I was even able to log in after one nation had accepted and before the second nation had checked his inbox. I just reloaded the tech and I did not need to resend the offer. In my round 2 BOTH buyers checked and one got the tech, I not sure (Belgias, I think that was you) must have gotten an error message of some kind. Out of curiousity, what exactly happened when you tried to get the tech?

I've gone ahead and offered the same aid to the other two remaining buyers Bishbash and Belgias. Once one of the three accept, the aid offer for the other two will cancel as I'll have less than 50 tech. Hopefully someone is on...

Mirreille, yes the deal I was referring to was a 3x3, but I wonder if the same principle wouldn't apply here? The idea being each seller gets 50 tech and then simultaneously offers the SAME 50 tech to multiple buyers. This would help us in so much as we wouldn't have to guess when the buyers are on line; we'd just log in every couple hours and repeat (with 1 less buyer).

Interesting idea posted on the NEAT boards that may help this deal go significantly smoother. According to the group involved in another long term tech deal, one can send out multiple foreign aid offers on the SAME batch of tech. I.e. the seller buys 50 tech (from 0) then offers 50-tech aid to two or more countries. I'm not sure what happens to the aid offer for the second (or third) country once the first accepts, but if this works, it should make this a little easier...

Not to double post, but I'll be 14.4k modem bound until next week. I should have no trouble getting the tech off, but put me down as a seller whoever sets up the next deal. FOr some reason CN is slow, but the forums is painfully slow (over the modem that is...)

Thanks JEDCJT! I actually "borrowed the funds" through another alliance member so that we could keep the deal moving smoothly. I'll send you 50 tech along with everyone else. If any one owes you a favor, have them send 3 mil to "General Ulji" also in NEAT in lue of me. Otherwise, send it after you receive the 100 tech.

By the way, buyers, when did you guys start trying to amass tech (at what point in your nation's growth). To be honest there are times when my country's existence seems to revolve around moving tech, I forget that there are other aspects to the game...

I know, I'm kinda old to be selling tech, but I keep thinking "one more deal". At this rate, I'll end up being the first nation to cross 10k infrastructure with 0 tech!

I don't know if I'm asking to be raided by posting too much info here, but I actually spent most of the cash on infra-building. You other sellers should consider this as an option (or at least put part of it toward infra). Thanks to some trade arrangements and two universitys, my tech costs are at about 600k when starting from 0. Due to the growth spurt enabled by the buyers, if I save I'll have more than enough cash to buy the tech at the end of the first 10 day period. Since that point I started saving and should have little trouble getting the 250 tech for each 10 day period. Waiting until the end may seem safer, but thats 20 days of lost taxation. Gotta soak the peeps!!

I've accepted all of the aid except for JEDCJT. I've PM'd him in game and we'll work out an arrangement, probably he send me the 3mil AFTER I've sent the 100 tech so that we're in line with everyone else. Talk to you all in 10 days!

PS I just noticed all of my 3/6 aids have expired. This clears up the mystery as to when the remaining (all 3/7) will expire. So I should be ready with everyone else to receive aid at the next game reset (Monday am in 24 hours from this post). EDIT: I've noticed that everyone else is completely ready (aid slot wise). After game reset tonight, I'll be ready and the first round should be complet-able (is that a word?).

Pending your approval of the terms, I know I can get people in my alliance to supply you. Our terms are pretty standard 1.5mil per 50 tech, so that'd be 7.5mil total. Incidentally, I would have much easier time setting this up if you want 300 tech for 9mil. After you send the cash, we could either (1) send you back 100 tech via middlemen and then the last 150 tech in 10 days, or (2) send you 150 tech in 10 days and then the last 100 tech in 20 days. What's your pref? EDIT: Update (3/18) Our sellers have used up their slots already, so if your still interested in aquiring the tech, contact me in 8 days...

Its cool, I don't think it matter too much that every cash and tech batch get sent simultaneously, I think what is most important is that it goes sequentially. A little lag shouldn't hurt too much...

I'm still interested and if need be, can possibly round up additional folks, but as I hope was made clear in my first post, my last tech deal concluded on the 7th (i.e. the aid date is "3/7/2008 at 9:30"). With a day or two advanced warning I can probably get a fifth if need be. In prior deals, the timing has not been this critical, so to be honest, I'm not sure if my slots open at game reset on the 17th (monday) or game reset on the 18th (tuesday). This will also be the situation for the others in my alliance who deal tech as we were involved in quite the epic 14 nation deal.

Man, I can hear the "too bad" already, but I signed up as third seller if the deal could be postponed until after the 17th. Kinda looks like thats how its going to end up going down...

I can bring in more sellers, but they are in a similar situation as myself. We were all involved in a 6x6 deal (more like two simultaneous 3x3 deals) that ended on 3/7. So go ahead and continue to search for sellers and if by the 17th you have still have empty seller slots, we'll take em.
