1.
5. You read all the posts in a 20+ page thread 6. You are talking about politics that do not involve any country that actually exists for hours on end with people you don't even know. 11. When people start posting inb4(your name). 12. You stop thinking of CN as schoolyard politics and start thinking of schoolyard politics as CN. 15. You find yourself saying 'brilliant political move' whenever something political appears on the news 21. One of your best friends breaks up with his girlfriend of two years because she cheated on him, and all you could think of to say at first was "yeah it's sad, but it's necessary dude". 25. You think it’s odd people aren’t calling you by your CN name 31. You think about Global Warming in terms of adding stars to the environment 38. You create elaborate backstories for your close CN friends in hopes of persuading your RL friends that you are NOT a nerd and actually KNOW the people you’ve been skyping with for the past 3 hours. 42. You refer to America’s foreign policy as “ascending via the unjust path" 47. You think it’s a good thing that a person who told another player to “go suck a shotgun” returns 50. You buy a flag of your CN alliance. 56. You care about your reputation enough not to change your game name 63. You know that Christ’s REAL name was Walford 75. You find out that there is actually a limit to how many “clicks” you can have on a given day! 79. You consider moving to a town named “Pacifica.” 81. You know the actual meaning behind the name of more than three of the following: RAD, LOUD, FACE, ACF, TDSM8, SSSW18 90. You think of your checking account in terms of “days of bills" 91. You wonder why the tax rate for everyone isn’t at 30% 94. You think your .gov position qualifies as “experience” for your job resume 95. You refer to all boots as “jackboots,” cause that sounds cooler. 101. You read through this whole list and thought “I’ve done that!” more than 10 times.
Yep. Plus I joined five years ago.
  2. I remember voting you into that Red Senate seat as well as the fun that Vox was. Peace and be safe, Zog.
  3.
Hail gato o/
Happy birthday, GATO! To many more, I expect. Pity I've only been around for four of the five.
  4.
KM popped up in Vox Populi then got kicked out for making tasteless jokes. You know the kind I speak of. And they weren't even clever.
I think she was kicked mostly for not making clever ones.
  5.
Didn't we get kicked off Esper because some alliances started mass trolling the furry channel there? I seem to remember somebody getting their alliance channel deregistered by the IRCops which pretty much just started a chain reaction.
I remember KM pissing off the IRCops due to that. They came in #gpa and asked about it and Marie just kept saying "Yeah, well, your mom was trolling us, so we trolled them," or something to that effect. Also, o/ \m/.
  6.
I tend to remember the old players who are no longer here, people like Kirstin Marie and El Bruc, these people were larger than life and made the OWF a very entertaining read. And I also remember the Margrave Fan Club, I think I still have one of Margrave's shoes that I am using as a holy relic in my CN nation's state religion.
Especially towards the end of KM's stay when she basically got CN kicked off Esper. Esper sucked anyway, but we dealt with it.
  7.
This one was also really amusing: Ivanelterrible DoWed Chris Kaos http://z15.invisionfree.com/Cyber_Nations/index.php?showtopic=57894&hl= Then where did Chris go? http://z15.invisionfree.com/Cyber_Nations/index.php?showtopic=58020&hl= Chris was GATO royalty then so him being busted for cheating was lolworthy.
Oh my God I was pissed when he did that, the !@#$%^&. ivanelterrible was brilliant though. The worst part of going through the old forums is the amount of !@#$ I've straight forgotten. The other part is know I have been here for that long. I'm quite partial to the GARO post of Grenval's, though, despite the fact that I can't find it there anymore.
  8. Neutral Menace Also, yeah, holy $%&@ that's a lot of changed positions.

Oh God, this is what you guys were doing that night? I'm glad I didn't interrupt. Classic.
  10.
Thank you, oh glorious CN Artists, for informing me that my art isn't actually art. From now on I know that I have to spend hundreds of dollars on photo-editing software to be considered an artist. I also know that if the people in power don't like your art, they can always just disqualify you from winning a competition. The greatest periods for art in history have always been the ones in which the elite determined what art was.
I liked your previous post better.
  11.
I would like to know how Cheyenne's entry is "lulz." Considering that the rest of you have merely found an image online, applied some filters to it PhotoShop and then called it "art," I fail to see where you have room to comment. Cheyenne's work, though simple in its nature, attempts to make a commentary on mythology that reflects the artists view. In this case the artist clearly sees mythology, of cultures, as essentially tales prophesying the end of the world. Whether or not we care to agree is for another discussion, but it cannot be denied that a statement is at least being made. This whereas the other contestants have merely done child's work. While I am not saying your work is comparable to scribbles, as one uneducated in digital art I can safely say what you have made is something that even I could do. Searching for an image, cropping it, and then creating a background and putting in effects and filters is not the groundbreaking work most of you seem to think it is. It does not take a true visionary or artist to do any of that, and consider how skilled youngsters are with computers these days, I still assert that this is child's work. While Cheyenne may not yearn to be as fancy as yours, what his work lacks in effects it makes up for in message. It is without a doubt that Cheyenne has created the only true piece of art in this competition, and is quite frankly one of the most accurate reflections on modern society's view of ancient mythology. We view it as rubbish, as childish stories, and the artist depicts it as such. This is much more than can be said for any of the others in this contest.
Indeed, but if we view ancient mythology as rubbish and childish stories, wouldn't it be more accurate to say that all the others are more fitting since they are child's work? Only work that imitates that of children can sufficiently portray mythology, don't you think? As such, I move that the others are, in fact, a better representation since they alone display such a characteristic. Chey's is far too professional and self-reflective -- something children never are -- to win.
  12. Heaven's above that was a fun time in CN.
  13.
There is no part in the treaty that says "we need to find out from you before our other allies (who coincidentally are going to attack you)" either. GATO wanted an excuse to cancel the treaty and they got one. The rest of this is just them covering it in lies and rubbish in order to save face.
They won't save much.
